Which is more important to you, high IGR or low poverty? Maybe you should stop over-taxing your people. You do not need a huge IGR you only need to use the little you have. |

Awon eyan Obinomics Obipoverty You are wrong. Having a big IGR is nothing to celebrate. The only important question is how you spend your money. Ogun has a super IGR, yet it has much more poverty than Anambra or Imo with very little IGR. The same goes for Kaduna. Clearly, your governors are over-taxing the people. |

I believe that since it is known then there is no need to state it. Every verse in the bible is known so what is your point?

So if you do not want to properly assess a claim, it is you who shall carry the consequences. Oga we can only access your claim from the bible. You have shown that even you have no accessed your claim.
And I know that you have a different why other than the why that it these verses are very popular and everyone including you, know them. Even popular verses are quoted. There is no commandment against quoting popular verses. We were not told that we may only quote the unpopular verses.
People prefer lies rather than Truth, therefore
People swallow greedily any lie that flatters them, but sip only little by little at a truth they find bitter. This is where we both agree. Most people love to be lied to and they are too lazy to find out the truth themselves. They are too lazy to read the bible so they just believe whatever the lying pastor says.
]The truth will set you free, but first it will make you miserable. You are quoting from people I don't know when you could simply quote from the bible. Oh I forgot, its wrong to quote popular verses.
You mean the mordern church goer and not "Christ like aka Christian. I mean modern churches have become Temples of lies and dishonesty. People teach their own doctrine and are afraid of the truth in the bible. These days, Christians are more content quoting from philosophers rather than quoting from the word of God. |

Dtruthspeaker: If you had a Bible then you do not read it else you would have seen that showed is the signs to look for. So all it takes is for people to use their eyes to see. And if you can not see, that is no one's concern. Yes anyone can claim to see what doesn't exist. I noticed you are shy to quote a bible verse and we both know why. The truth is that most people no longer read their bible that is why they can be deceived by the many false prophets out there. As Christians, the only way we settle discuss is through the bible. For 2 days now, you have been making comment upon comment but nothing from the bible. The modern Christian clearly does not know the bible. |

Secondly it is not "any one" but a multitude have so confessed the phenomenom. Thus, you are the one who does not see or claims not to see that which is very obvious. Actually I have a bible but you are free to quote. Secondly, this is not the first time we are having a multitude of false prophets. |

'Kylian’s father, Wilfred Mbappe, who has Cameroonian and Nigerian roots, was once a refuge, who migrated to France for greener pastures. According to reports, Wilfred in a bid to get a permanent stay got married to an Algerian-French lady Fayza, an ex-handball player. Kylian was given a Yoruba middle name Adesanmi meaning “crown fits me” by Wilfred, who also adopted a son, Jirès Kembo Ekoko, a professional footballer of Congolese descent, but has a biological son and younger brother of Kylian named Adeyemi Mbappe, in recognition of his Nigerian roots.' True they keep editing to give more accurate information. Maybe the old info was not verifiable. |

Aemmyjah: Personal conviction based on what? Personal conviction does not need to even have a strong basic. When I was younger, I was convinced that India beat Nigeria 100 -1 in a football match just because someone told me so. For those who believe in a creator and even those who do not believe in a creator, all the needed was anyone or anything to convince them. |
Christianity Etc › Re: What Is Your View As To The Origin Of Life? by tctrills: 11:24pm On Nov 26, 2022 |
Aemmyjah: Let's forget about religion, let's pretend there is no religion but use our brains and be fair
As to the origin of life, we all know that nothing can produce nothing, it is proven that life CANNOT be formed from nonlife That logic has helped many to conclude that someone should be responsible for making all living forms, the universe with it's order and bodies and laws and regulations and mechanisms. Though no one has claimed to have seen such one on when he made all these, the evidence is so compelling that majority of people give credit to a higher power but people have different ideas and beliefs about who or what that One is
On the other hand, some believe that someone is not responsible. Some say so cos they don't believe in something they cannot see but they believe in gravity, mind, temperature, electricity, air, wind as if we can see them. Others believe so cos they see that most books or myths as to the origin of life and the beginning of the universe is completely unscientific especially the Greek legends, Roman mythology and many others but one record stands out that they can't dispute but based on the other books, they hold onto it Others believe so cos of the problems of life and the hypocrisy of those who claim to represent the One they say formed all life. Does that make sense to prove that one is not responsible for making life? They won't say that nobody made a knife cos someone or some people used it in stabbing others to death. If at the end of today, someone hijack a airplane and use it on suicide mission as we been hearing, will it make sense to believe that no one made that plane? Others believe so cos there are different ideas and beliefs about the One who is responsible for life. Does that make sense? If I say, Mr A drew that painting, someone says it is Mr B, someone else says it is Mrs D, another says it is Miss Y. These are really confusing, all are not true but will you simply say that the art has no painter cos of these contrary opinions? Or because the person did not reveal himself to you.
Belief in a creator should not be stupid or gullible or cos you were taught in a religious centre. It must be out of personal conviction that you must be willing to defend Belief in a no creator should likewise be intelligible, not cos you were taught at school or betrayed by religion. That religion is no compatible with science is actually a lie. The most renowned scientists of all times were actually religions people, some were monks and priests and they loved sciences.
Without any insults, what is your conviction that there is a Creator or that there is no Creator See, no logic can prove their was a creator or not. It all about personal conviction and faith. Everyone needs to find their beliefs. We can't argue the existence of a creator. |

No one would jail you if armed robbers came into your home and in defending yourself you killed one.
That's completely different from killing a random human being . Come oh, are you talking about killing animals for food or killing human beings? There is nothing wrong with hunting oga. What we should do is have animal sanctuaries where these animals would be protected. Don't forget that even animals hunt each other. Hunting is just so natural. |

The other day it was a harmless civet cat, only God knows how many more were slaughtered that we hardly hear of.
Nigeria should introduce hunting seasons so animals are not killed when the are breeding. First, solve the hunger problem. It's inhumane to tell a hungry man not to hunt. As much as I love animals, I care about humans a lot more. In Europe and America, hunting is a sport while in Africa, it is a necessity. |

Pavore9: Nigerians and bushmeat! Conservation is not in our dictionary! l give it to Kenya as you dare not try this in that Country as such animals na government pikin. Even if you see them destroying your property you still have no right to touch them, all you have to do is inform the Kenyan Wildlife Service and they come assess the damages and pay you compensation.
lt is only the Kenyan Wildlife Service that that have the right to kill such animals subject to their discretion. Kenya annually makes billions of dollars from wildlife conservation as TV stations like Discovery Channel, National Geography pay millions of dollars to shoot their wildlife documentaries here not to talk of regular tourists who fly in for safaris. l know if the maasai mara was in Nigeria the hundreds of thousand of the wild animals there would have ended up in our pots as bushmeat! When they migrate it is a beauty to behold, people fly in from all over the world to view it .One really need to experience their migration to really appreciate wildlife
Kenyans are taught from their primary school level that the wildlife is their national heritage and foreign exchange earner. Do you really think they don't hunt in Kenya? Do you think Kenyans don't eat bush meat? |

AreaFada2: Unlike pigs that produce up to 20 piglets per litter, those beautiful antelopes rarely produce more than one or two per litter.
So they are really in serious danger of extinction. Unlike pigs/boar that eat lots of things, they are very picky herbivores and they need thick forests too.
With deforestation, the risk is compounded. Our grandkids may never see living ones if we don't stop killing them.
Chicken & catfish mass produced are becoming cheaper to buy now.
We need to preserve these animals for tourism when we run out of oil/gas. Hunting is not the problem. All we need is to create reserves where hunting would not be allowed. Again everyone should not eat Chicken and catfish. It's crazy to dictate what another man must eat. |
