If Soyinka has continue to support Buhari government with all his failures, that is when we can see him as not man enough. You marketed a bad product and expect not to be blamed? There was nothing good about Buhari in the first place so why did the prof sell him to Nigerians. cornelboy: Most Christians (church goers) today from protestants churches and all other Christian denominations believe that Jesus is GOD and he's equal and the same as the Father. If they are really right as they think they are, why do they find it hard to believe virgin Mary as the mother of GOD?
The fact is, if indeed Jesus is God and he's the Father, there's no blasphemy in saying Mary is the mother of GOD.
The Roman Catholic church is the originator of trinity and "Mary the mother of GOD" doctrines. So why should we believe in one and reject the other? I just saw this and I think it's a great topic. Like you say, why should we believe one thing from the Catholic and doubt another. That's a great question. But a follow-up question, why should we believe the bible that came from the Catholic church and then doubt their teachings. Personally, I believe every religion has some truth in it. So believing a truth from a particular religion does not mean you have to believe everything about the religion. even Christians share many common beliefs with Muslims, but it doesn't mean they have to believe everything. Thats my take on the subject. |

Politics › Re: Buhari Snubs Russia, Picks British Firm For Ajaokuta Steel Revival: Video by tctrills: 12:34am On Apr 07, 2022 |
DoctorOlasDesk: You're deceiving yourself. How will British do turn around maintenance for installations that were installed by Russians from the onset with all units and components up till manual written in Russian language and heavily dependent and reliant on Russian engineering tech?.
Its what happens when people get overly sensational all of a sudden. Russia since USSR has been very good to Nigerians, don't lift a finger in a battle that is bigger than you.
Now to the core issue at hand. The Ajaokuta steel complex was developed by the country by the Russians from the very onset and the Russians took pre-emptive measures to ensure anything around it is done through them and them only.
Almost the entire schematics have Russian inscriptions and manuals and operators needed to be solely trained by Russians to operate them
Secondly, some of the core operational resources used in the production chain line can only be supplied by Russia. No other nation on earth has these highly specialized resources and components
Hence, nothing can be done to Ajaokuta steel complex without the Russians.
Why then has it been made useless for over two decades without use as other like steel industrial complexes.
Here lies what the whites are not telling you guys. British and Russians alike. I know these well hidden truths first hand, cause as a genius with 160+ IQ, I'm privy to highly classified information across these complex issues. Saying this humbly. Though
To make any nation great, one doesn't need politicos, lack of corruption like APC and PDP have both been throwing banters for years
To make any nation great, a nation needs key things like :
Highly operational chemical industrial completed, highly optimized metal refining and processing complex which ranks as the core bedrock of all forms of heavy productivity and industrialization.
So, here's the bane of the matter, take away any nations ability to heavily produce, refine nd process metals and such a nation becomes useless. I dare to say it anywhere
Mind you guys, between 2001 and today over $60 Billion has been spent on revamping the steel complex in batches of $2- $20 Billion for every time it hits the news that repairs are been done.
Guess what guys, it takes average of $15-20 Billion dollars to build a modern one
Same strategy to make the oil and gas industry useless is what's playing here to. The oligarchist and the deliberate desire to keep the nation under developed is the motive behind this.
Who knows if Dangote will also spot this opportunity.
Cc Sarkinyarki Aconomist You are been too sensational here. At this point in time no matter your inclinations, it's no longer wise to do business with the Russians. You don't want sanctions directly or indirectly extended to your nation and your products. Even if you are pro Putin, you must first protect your economy. |

[quote author=cornelboy post=111714951]Alcohol is banned in Muslim countries because of their religion not healthy related issues. It doesn't matter, the banning of alcohol is about politics and policy.
If indeed you believe this, there's no need for this thread. The purpose of the thread was not to take away people's free will. It was to show them a better way and to help all as best as I can.
So with all the facts you put up there, why couldn't alcohol be banned? Because it is political and banning it did not stop or reduce the sale in the 1920s in America. It's very hard to ban what a majority of your voters love. That shows you the power of Alcohol. same with tobacco. Why do doctors and medical personnel drink when they know it kills than most drug combined together? Many doctors and medical personnel make poor health choices. Just because I am a doctor does not mean I am not human and bound by the weaknesses of the flesh. There are doctors that use hard drugs and there are doctors that have unprotected sex. In fact, the suicide rate among doctors is one of the highest in the world. This tells you that even doctors do not always make the best life choices. |

magmaxmagma: 3 weeks ago, My two sisters in Uni (One is already planning on getting married) came to visit due to the strike.
Armed men 4 in total broke into our house around 1 am, I woke up after hearing a heavy bang, they are already in the parlour, at gunpoint they asked me to bring all my laptops, money and valuables, the robbers forced me and my sisters (unfortunately in night clothes) to the master room, they tore their dresses, in turns they forcefully raped them, I begged and cried for them to stop but one of them smashed my head with the gun and told me if i move he would shoot me in the head.
I haven't been able to sleep and my sisters are so traumatized, I couldn't do anything to help but watch them cry while these monsters raped them. i am so depressed and unhappy, how can i move on from this sad event? first, get them the medical attention needed. the emotional wound takes a longer time to heal. Remember, your sisters need your strength and positivity now more than ever before. Be there for them. Let them see the love and care in your eyes. Don't look at them like aliens. They should be treated like you've always treated them. Remain sensitive and caring. |

EHoudini: At the peak of fuel scarcity my wife befriended a filling station manager- a mallam! She got two full tanks of fuel, one for herself, another for her friend; and 20L for me. I innocently and gladly accepted, in a jerrycan. I didn't even pay, to be honest.
Few days later, when we had a little misunderstanding, she bragged to me that the fuel I've been using to cruise around was given to her by a man like me! Dangerous talks.
Since then, even we settled somewhat she's been receiving strange calls at odd hours. Few nights ago, I was woken up by her shouts on the phone; that she's a married woman and that the person on the other end should stop calling her! I couldn't help but think and believe it's the manager. As though she didn't know she was married before she swindled the man of his fuel!
With all the aphrodisiacs (buran tashi) these mallams use, her (my wife's) nyansh go don suffer.

lavar: Slavery is a thing of the mind not body
Unfortunately you don't have the capacity of knowing that because of Bigotry Slavery is a thing of the body. It was not mind games taking place in the sugar plantations in America in the 1700s. The slave ships were not filled with people's minds but their physical bodies. There is no dictionary definition of slavery that has to do with the mind. Finally, I seriously doubt you know the meaning of bigotry. What does bigotry have to do with Kanu's jailing? Let me help you with the definition of bigotry; obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction; in particular, prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group. |

cornelboy: I didn't say the Bible is a health guide. In God's view, it's a sin if we get drunk or misuse it.
Why are all these drugs not legalized but alcohol the killer is legalized and the only warning is; don't drink if you're below 18 and drink responsibly even though alcohol can kill more than the drugs combined together? You asked a very good question. It tells you that there is something very wrong somewhere. Do you think that a drug responsible for 1 in every 20 dead people should be legalized? Again, most of the people alcohol kills are over 18 so saying those above 18 makes very little sense. Personally, I have no issue with legalizing all drugs. people should be free to consume whatever they want. It should be their right but that isn't the issue here. Now some countries legalize some of these other drugs we are talking about. Tobacco an even greater killer is legal in about every country. Holland and Portugal allow lots of these drugs to be taken. The US ban alcohol in the 1920s but it was impossible to enforce because much of the population was already hooked. Again Alcohol is banned in most of the Muslim world. Taking about the right use of Alcohol, it is only useful as a drug and not as a beverage. It is not food, it is a drug. |

It was American-backed rebels that started the endless war in Libya. he did the same in Ukraine. Obama-backed fighters chased away a democratically elected president in 2014.
