SmartPolician: Bit by bit, this man is wrecking America and nobody wants to get the Congress to stop him. By the time he has spent 4 years in office, all attention will move to China because those guys will define the future.
Someone is giving you the requirements for coming to his county but you say he is wrecking his country. Why are you bitter? America was not being wrecked when Biden let in millions of criminals but now someone has the good sense to clean up after Biden, you claim that it is wrecked. Please compare the US economy with France, Canada, UK, the EU, China and let's discuss which countries are being wrecked.
MyExpression: So we can't have freedom of expression again?
Must we all love Kirk?!
People dislike who they dislike, and have a right to their feeling of gladness when their enemy dies, as long as they're not the cause.
Abacha died, and we all celebrated all through that night in the streets of lagos. President Buhari died, and some Nigerians openly expressed their joy/hate even online.
Where's the funking freedom in America ffs!
If something like this happens to Reno Omokri, some people will still rejoice bout it.
You have freedom of expression but your institution, workplace, or school also has a standard that you represent. If the organization you represent doesn't want it's members celebrating murder, you are free to find another organization that fits your morality. If you come to my church naked claiming you have freedom of expression, we will throw you out.
Lamasta: If you happen to be the founders daughter you will be the loudest to echo your voice.....
Majority of RCCG members and some pastors don't actually know the founder of the church truly and there is no visible monument or structure named after him around the church...
Every member of CAC knows Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, every member of Cherubim and Seraphim knows Moses Orimolade and the list goes on
You make a strong case but how does this matter in the heavenly race?
1) Jimmy said that we hit some new lows as MAGA people are trying to paint the kid that murdered Charlie Kirk as anything but one of them and they are doing anything they can to score political points from it.
2) He said that in between the finger pointing, there was some grieving. On Friday the White House flew the flag at half mast (which got some criticism), but on a human level you can see how hard the president is taking this.
3) They then cut to a video of reporters asking President Trump questions. They offered condolences on the loss of his friend, Charlie Kirk, and they asked on a personal level how is he holding up.
Donald Trump said, "Very well and by the way, you can see right there all the trucks. They just started construction of the new White House Ballroom, which is something they've been trying to get for about 150 years and it's going to be a beauty".
4) They cut back to the studio and we can hear the audience laughing. Jimmy Kimmel said, "He's at the fourth stage of grief, construction. This is not how an adult grieves the death of someone he calls a friend, this is how a four-year old mourns a goldfish".
Jimmy was basically pointing out that someone who's supposed to be Trump's friend has just died and Trump is more interested in the construction of the White House Ballroom.
Don't confuse yourself. He is spreading fake news that krik's killer was from the Maga base. If you don't see how dangerous that can be, I can't help you.
Thunderfayamods: What point have you raised really outside insulting people? This is another good example.
Sorry you feel insulted by the truth. I never called you names, I only questioned your wisdom in making unfounded claims but see you are emotional and fragile so let's not get into an argument. If you are ready to discuss the black situation in the US, we will but if you prefer to nag and complain we better end the discussion.
goslowgoslow: I have read the back and forth between you and the guy that quoted you or that you quoted. It is obvious like the guy said, you lack good comprehension. He told you repeatedly that he not giving excuses for blacks behavior meaning that irrespective of what they might have gone thru they can still do better in life. Is that too difficult to understand? What I expect you to ask him is to explain to you the "systematic ways" that the white used to break down black families but you did not instead you are just repeating the same thing, nothing logical from you. You are actually the one that is getting emotional! Conclusion - it is very clear that you know nothing about black history, if you do counter him with points and stop the disrespect.
Funny boy. How did you come to the fact that I know nothing about black history? Did I state any wrong historic fact? Or you just feel like you need to contribute. I you can point to anything I wrote to show that I got my facts wrong about black history, I will take correction but if you can't, I advise you keep quiet or ask questions. It's up to you. If you had wisdom, you would have would have pointed to all the wrong assertions I made about blacks and their history and corrected them with facts. It's easy and foolish to say someone lacks knowledge when you can't show his mistakes or provide correction. I believe you and the other boy are birds of a feather.
Thunderfayamods: You know that I can easily guess your age! I won't be little myself by engaging your further but please do something about your comprehension. You people are very difficult to engage, now take whatever you believe with you! Yes you cannot blame whites are you now okay with that?
Are you guys clones? You all behave like robots. The moment you meet someone that disagrees with your point of view you begin to get emotional. I have met hundreds of your kind on Nairaland and I wonder if there is a Whatsapp group for this behavior. Anyway I wish you the best. And continue blaming whites since that's the only way you have peace of mind.
Kiarah: The victim mentality from the black American community is so annoying. These are the same set of people that when you decide to take your life serious, go to school, live a good life , they ostracize you for trying to be white. They have the opportunity but never utilize it. Then they go ahead and blame other people going as far as to accuses Africans of stealing their jobs and means of livelihood.
Thunderfayamods: It is unfortunate I am so sorry for you because you don't know history. Go and read about blacks in America before and after the slavery. Regardless next time always read to comprehend. I started by saying "I am not making excuses for them".
You say you are not making excuses, but that is all you do. You see people who, after getting their freedom, became lazy and foolish. You see a culture of violence, irresponsibility, and crime, but your default is to blame the whites.
Thunderfayamods: It is unfortunate I am so sorry for you because you don't know history. Go and read about blacks in America before and after the slavery. Regardless next time always read to comprehend. I started by saying "I am not making excuses for them".
I know the history of blacks in America after slavery. Did you know that even after slavery, 80% of black dad's stayed with their families but now it's only 20% and you are running your mouth and blaming the whites for your stupidity.
Thunderfayamods: While not making excuses for black daddies it is unfortunate that people like you do know the systematic ways that the whites used to render blacks useless.
So you blame the whites for your irresponsibility. It is just so unfortunate. You amaze me.
bakynes: You dont know what you are saying, someone that believe Black people were better when they had no civil rights and were been subjugated and segregated.
You see, that's why you need to listen to the source and not the noise or rumours. He was speaking about the fatherlessness in the black community. In those days, 80% of black kids grew up without a dad at home. Today, that number is only 20%. If you as a black choose to be angry with Krik and not alarmed that the average black in America is a useless dad, then, you are unserious. Guess what, by some stats, blacks are the only group that have not reduced poverty since the time of segregation. So yes, Krik is right. The black community has not improved itself since the time of segregation and it is a shame that you need a white man to teach you that.
How is this important? Would knowing his completion change the way he impacts your life? Paint him any colour that suits you. Life is more important than skin colour.
phosky: Why 70% of Lagos Churches Now Run Multiple Services on Sundays
If you grew up in Lagos, you probably remember the days when Sunday service meant one long, marathon worship that could stretch from 8 a.m. till 2 p.m. Today, things have changed. From Surulere to Lekki, many churches now run multiple short services instead of one extended gathering — sometimes as many as five or six in a single day. Eyes Of Lagos reports, The Numbers Don’t Lie
A recent survey of Pentecostal churches in Lagos revealed that over 70% now hold between 3–5 services every Sunday. Some megachurches even run hourly services to accommodate crowd overflow and youth demand for “short and sharp” worship. Why the Shift Happened
Youth-Friendly Worship
Nigerian youths, raised in the fast-paced hustle of Lagos, don’t have patience for 5-hour services anymore. Shorter services fit into busy Sunday schedules.
Population Explosion in Churches
Lagos is home to over 22 million people. Churches adapted by splitting the crowd into smaller, multiple gatherings.
Traffic & Commute Realities
With Lagos traffic, many members prefer attending an early 6 a.m. or 7 a.m. service before roads get blocked.
Competition Between Churches
To attract and retain members, churches adjusted formats to match modern worship styles.
The Impact on Worship Style
Choirs now perform quick sets instead of long hymn sessions.
Pastors preach in “bite-sized” messages, sometimes repeating the same sermon 3–4 times.
Services are more media-friendly, designed for livestreams and YouTube uploads.
What Nigerians Are Saying
“I love it. I can attend 7 a.m. service and still go to owambe after.” – Chika, Lekki.
“Multiple services mean I don’t miss out if I wake up late. God still dey bless me.” – Tunde, Surulere.
“Sometimes it feels too rushed. I miss the old-time long worship.” – Mama Esther, Agege.
Conclusion
From wooden benches and marathon services to air-conditioned auditoriums with quick-turnover services, Lagos churches have evolved to meet the needs of a changing city. Whether you prefer the long fellowships of the past or the fast-paced worship of today, one thing remains clear: Sunday in Lagos will always be church day.
CoronaVirusPro: If you want to have a good first hand interpretation of who he really happens to be, just go through his twitter and watch his YouTube.
Please comeback here to tell me about what you think of him.
I think he is one of the greatest human beings of our generation. I have been following him and listening to him almost daily for over 2 years now. He was full of compassion, love and all he ever wanted was for all men to be treated equal. It's hard not to love him after listening to him.
Today, millions came out to show their respect for Charlie Kirk. Also, Rallies in New Zealand, Spain, South Korea, and across the world. Not even the queen could pull this crowd. This man lived a great life. https://www.youtube.com/live/uk6Pz8XQMWE?si=Cepd-OfDrAJ6xAmC
Her words are a testament to the life this great man lived. When you die, what will those who knew you best say about you? Her speech was more than political, it was the message of Jesus Christ and His love for us all. Rest in eternal peace Charlie. Your light will never dim.
This is one of Charlie's debates that taught me that our biggest problems are within. Blaming the white man will never solve our problems. RIP Charlie.
DeOTR: You don't depend on anything, but you blame them for everything. Make it make sense.
Why wouldn't you. Your government has deserted you. You provide your own water, security, electricity, even roads. Why wouldn't you blame them when they don't know their duties. It's funny you think that Nigerians depend on their evil government. But don't worry, the first day you travel out of the country, you will be educated. I would advise you start with a road trip to Benin Republic. At least that isn't too expensive and you wouldn't be needing a visa. Do that and get back to me.
