Back to the discussion, US should reduce all the money they spending on war and war equipments and face their economy.
Military spending is nothing compared to entitlement programs. 60% of the national budget goes on these programs.

Christianity Etc › Re: Dealing With Sexual Immorality In Courtship And Marriage by tctrills: 12:38pm On Jul 27, 2025
ebubeson:
As good Christians, it is of God we avoid all forms of sexual immorality in courtship and Marriage. This is by God's grace.

Pray for God's grace in this corrupt and polluted world because the rate of sexual immorality and temptations is on the high side.

As people in courtship, pray for grace not to sleep with your Fiance, Fiancee, EX, friend, bestie e.t.c

Please avoid:
(1) Avoid sleeping with your Fiance or Fiancee.
(2) Avoid sleeping with your EX before wedding day.
(3) As married persons, avoid committing adultery with others, your EX, your colleagues, childhood friend e.t.c
(4) Avoid paternity fraud: bringing other children into the marriage or even having child outside.
(5) Avoid other forms of sexual immorality that is not of God.

May God give you grace in Jesus name. Amen.
Easier said than done. Everyone knows what is right, the problem is in doing it.

Christianity Etc › Is The Concept Of Marine Wife Biblical Or Is It African Tradition? by tctrills(op): 12:31pm On Jul 27, 2025
Today, we hear about women getting children from the marine world or girls having marine husband and even marine children.
As a Christian, does the bible support this?
Why is it much more common among African christians?
Please use the bible as you make your point.

jesusjnr2020:
Rev Azzaman's Post About Pastor's Warning To Pray Against Death By Accident

A few months before the popular Fulani evangelist, David Azzaman (ex-muslim), lost his life in a fatal auto crash, he made a post citing the warning he received from a certain pastor to pray against death by accident, because he saw an accident in one of Azzaman's mission trips.

It seemed like just child's play and probably another false alarm that shouldn't be taken seriously until it happened exactly as the said pastor had foreseen and forewarned Azzaman to pray against.

With the benefit of hindsight, it appears the said pastor's dream and warning were very real and should have been with all seriousness, because it seemed divinely inspired to avert the danger.

However it appeared that the warning was not given the seriousness it warranted, as despite the warning, Rev Azzaman still lost his life on his way back from a gospel crusade he held in Makurdi due to an accident just as was revealed to the said pastor in the dream.

This should serve as a wake-up call to all those who were spreading the gospel, especially on the front lines where the spiritual battle and attacks is fiercest, not to take things for granted but ensure they're fully spiritually prepared and fortified beforehand, so they aren't caught off guard.

God bless
Let's learn to stop living in fear and start believing the word of God.
We learn from the scripture that;
Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

So if a true servant of the Lord dies by any means, it is the will of God and not the devil. So why pray against God's will?

Morocco for example have invested so much in the female football. It's a top priority to them. Their recent coach is a world class coach that won the last world cup for Spain. They hosted the 2022 Afcon, this one and hopefully the next.

The thing is, Nigeria has a lot of potentials one which out numbers other African countries in this game.
How much did Morocco invest in the first place? I wouldn't be surprised if it is much less than the yearly budget of some of their big clubs.
Again, Morocco is just one of 52 countries.
No one really care about female football.
Nigeria is always great at things no one else cares about.

Brahamimo:
Why can't God allow any of the dead one to return to life and explain to us what happens after death?
It's really very strange to me why the none of the dead ones has done this.
In the early 2000s, some overzealous christians came out and made a tape claiming that they resurrected from death after three days because God gave them a second chance to return to the world and warn sinners to desist from sin. These people even went as far as saying that God told them that the coming of Christ was imminent and that the world was coming to an end in the new millennium in the year 2000. A claim that never came to pass. I was only five years then and I still remember how my neighbors sold almost all their properties ahead of the coming of Christ.

The Body Dies, the Spirit Returns to God
“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
— Ecclesiastes 12:7

Solomon teaches that at death, the body returns to the dust, and the spirit returns to God, indicating that our life essence goes back to its Source. This doesn’t necessarily mean immediate judgment or reward but a return to God's domain and control.

Death Is Often Described as Sleep (Rest)
“Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”
— Daniel 12:2

“Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.”
— John 11:11

Death is repeatedly likened to sleep—a state of unconscious rest until resurrection.

The Dead Will Hear the Voice of Christ
“The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

Christ Preached to Spirits in Prison
“By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient...”
— 1 Peter 3:19–20

The Gospel Was Preached to the Dead
“For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.”
— 1 Peter 4:6

Where Does the Spirit Go?
The spirit returns to God. The righteous may experience rest or even conscious fellowship with God in Paradise (Luke 23:43, Heb. 12:23), while the full bodily resurrection and final judgment await the second coming of Christ (1 Thess. 4:16–17).

I have always wondered why Jesus had to die so early considering that he said he still had many things to teach his disciples. Why was his death at such young age important considering that it was an intentional death and he had the power to avert it ? Wouldn't it have been better if he lived for a few more decades to be able to reach more people and teach more thoroughly?

Christianity Etc › Did Man Really Need Jesus Christ As A Saviour? by tctrills(op): 10:53am On Jul 20, 2025
I was created a thread asking what would be the fate of those who died without hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Many said that they would be saved it they kept to the law and followed their conscience.

Today my question is, if man could be saved by following his conscience, why did Jesus Christ have to come and suffer so much pain. Was all that suffering and pain necessary?

Why don't we continue to depend on conscience and obeying the laws at our disposal to gain eternal life?

Did we need Jesus Christ or was he just an extra?

This means that even before the creation, it was already decided that He will suffer, die, pay the price and redeem man.

Why was he chosen? What qualified Him for this incredible duty? Was there any other that could carry out the task?

What do you think and what do the scriptures say?

You're still not untangling yourself from the deceitful web of lies that jews and Israelites are the same tribe or both are the chosen ones.

A jew is a descendant of Judah and does not bear Israel's blessing. A jew is also a follower of the religion of Judaism founded centuries after Christianity. These jews and the modern European converts subverted the traditions and history of the ancients to lay a claim to Moses and his 5 books, while basing their faith largely on the Talmudic laws.

Jews use the Bible when it suits their hasbara, and rely on the Talmud to justify their depravity.

So long as you Nigerian evangelical lost souls are unable to comprehend the difference between the Chosen Israelites and the rejected Judeans, you'll always look stupid shilling for a religion that completely denigrates your savior and Messiah.
You continue to talk about the irrelevant. We both know who the Jews are. The question is, is the old testament a holy book in the Jewish religion? You are the only person in the world that thinks it is not.

And all these are just recent developments.

And Obama {gay)/Trump (abuse of rights)have already proven that they can never be chosen by God!

Again if you have read the Bible you would have seen that God told the unholy people He plucked out from all the unholy nations to clean up and make holy that they should do like the people from where He plucked them from.
You are definitely not a very good lawyer
Please educate yourself with the info on the link below. You will learn that soldiers can sue the government. It happened during the covid vaccine enforcement.

https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2023/10/09/dod-settles-covid-vaccine-mandate-lawsuits-for-18-million/
Again you call it recent development but then again you are wrong. Can you point to any new law that allows soldiers to sue the government? The laws and constitution of America allows any citizen to take the government to court.
It is funny that our lawyer with be quoting a movie and not the constitution. Something is seriously wrong with our educational system.

God telling his people to be holy and commanding his people not to fight are 2 different things. Even the Holy ones in heaven fought a war. Many of the holy prophets fought in war. So your holiness excuses is dead on arrival.

You're even wronger.
.
The Talmud is the book of the jews, their oral laws they claim were written since Moses. But Moses was not a Jew, he was from the tribe of Levi, not Judah.

The mistake you keep making is conflating Jews, descendants of Judah, with Israelites, descendants of Joseph who were blessed by Israel (Jacob). Stick to who belonged to what tribe leading back to the source of the "chosen" mythos and you'll not be as confused.

There's a distinction between Hebrews, Jews, and Israelites.
. Now, you are intentionally choosing to be confused. Everyone knows that Moses is not from the tribe of Judah but it is a completely irrelevant argument here unless you are indicating that the old testament is not relevant in Judaism because Moses is not from Judah.
But that would make you the only human being in the world who thinks that the old testament is not holy scripture in Judaism.
Let me help you understand. You are implying that because the bible was not written by Nigerians, it is not a holy scripture to Nigerian Christians ratherbooks written by Nigerian authors or pastors somehow supercede the bible in it's importance. I am not sure you will find many people thinking like that. It's very odd and weird thinking.
Moses is considered the greatest prophet in Judaism.

Christianity Etc › Re: Thou Shall Not Kill, does Judgement For Killing Applies To Military Men by tctrills:
The highlighted shows you don't even know what you are saying!

First of all did God's people got involved in killing their fellow worshipers in that war?

Let's not be foolish here. If your point is that you will only obey the government to kill nonbelievers, then there is no difference between you and Boko Haram. The fact of the matter here is that God's people respected and obeyed their non believer king and went to war. Are you saying that Christians are allowed to kill only nonbelievers?

Secondly which nation belongs to Christians today since Jesus said his kingdom is no part of the world?

Lastly which nation can you pick up weapons against that you won't kill your fellow believers there?

Going to war is not about killing believers or not. If you read your Bible, you will learn that the entire Israel went to war against Benjamin. This completely destroys your don't fight believers' logic.

You people don't study God's word you only read!

Jesus said:

[b]“Believe me, woman, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation begins with the Jews. Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for indeed, the Father is looking for ones like these to worship him. God is a Spirit, and those worshipping him must worship with spirit and truth.” John 4:21-24

Before Jesus' God's people used to fight in defense of Jerusalem not because of their properties but to protect the Temple and those officiating inside it in fact a faithful Israelite will leave his own house to fight to protect God's temple in Jerusalem believing that when he dies it's for a just course but from the moment Jesus uttered that statement all believers in God and Christ realized that there is no holy land to fight for anymore and instead of fighting to protect any nation true Christians look for ways to hide their fellow worshipers who may be attacked by faithless people seeking to kill due to racism but for true believers to raise weapons against their fellow believers because a politician issued such an order?
Ọmọ we will obey God as our king rather than man. Act 5:29
Jesus God's only begotten Son, has issued the order that we must not kill, be it friend or foe! Matthew 26:52
. In all the passages you quoted, we were not informed that those worshipping him worship with spirit and truth, without going to war. The verse you quoted has nothing to do with war. Please quote another verse.
True Christians fought to end slavery, to end WW2. True Christians fought to end genocides, to save lives. Do you even know what it means to be a true Christian?

Lastly, please read the verses below; let's see if the word of God can change your mind.
Romans 13:1–4
1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval,
4 for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.
