Had1zasaf: Nice one thanks Since its your brainchild I suggest you copy the article and paste here pls Thanks bruv NCC issues warning on frequencies jamming devices 16:16 18/07/2014 Lagos - The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has issued a new warning against the unauthorised importation, sales and use of frequency jammers in the country. The commission said that its attention had been drawn to the continuous unauthorised sales and use of frequency jammers which has helped to worsen telecom communication frequency quality in some parts of the country. NCC had issued a similar warning earlier in the year but the sales and use of the jammers has persisted. In a notice signed by NCC's Director, Public Affairs, Tony Ojobo, the commission warned members of the public who are engaged in the illegal act to desist from it or face “appropriate” sanction. “The attention of Nigeria Communication Commission has been drawn to the importation, sales, usage of phone jammers and jamming devices in Nigeria. These devices interfere with electromagnetic signal in telecom and other wireless radio. The commission is empowered by the provision of section 13 and 14 (1) (b) of WTA 2004 to prevent the use of any apparatus that causes illegal interference with communications and which does not comply with its regulation,” NCC stated. It said illegal interference through the use of any jamming device was an offence under the constitution. “The section provides that any person who willfully uses any apparatus for the purpose of interfering with any wireless telegraphy shall be guilty of an offence stipulated under the act. Accordingly, the general public is hereby warned to desist from illegal sales and use of of any device that may cause interference with communication and other radioactive equipment.” |
