unibadan: Hello technoleee,
My update is to add my new baby. Do I still make CSE? Affirmative. Without a CSE, you are wasting your time because whatever enquiry and information you give, they put in your file. Go send one ASAP please. Send mail to the addresses below; accra@international.gc.ca accra.immigration@international.gc.ca Use one of the addresses as the main receiver and the other as carbon copy. Peruse www.cic.gc.ca too to make the online CSE. That was what I did and I got instructions within 8hrs. |

unibadan: Please I am also in this situation. Kindly help with the list of document that I need to send to AVO. Will I attached it online and send or post by courier to AVO. If to post, pls what's the address. If to send online, what's the link. Thank you. Common man. You need to first make a CSE to AVO and wait for instructions from them as cases are different and the documents required for update varies. All the best. |

DoubleBam2X: Hi everyone, To say the least, this forum has been extremely resourseful. I got an MR mail from AVO this afternoon with attached forms for me, spouse and kid - I'm FSW 2014 applicant. Kindly advice on which of the approved medical centre is better in Lagos especially in terms of cost. Other relevant advice and suggestions too will be appreciated. Congratulations. What is your timeline like please? |

solomonwis: You will have to go through the route called {Family} Sponsorship. Please ensure you keep documentary evidence of your relationship (Photo, email exchange, funds transfer, certificates, etc) as you'd be asked for all these documents and many more to prove the authenticity your relationship. Family sponsorship is usually a tasking route to take especially in this part of the world where we rarely keep documentary evidence of event.
Remember,it all depends on when you intend getting married to your spouse. If you get married to her prior to the finalization of the FSW application process and you fail to bring this to the attention of your visa office, you will be automatically disqualified. If you get married after the finalization of your application, you will have a lot to prove to show yours is not a marriage of convenience (and a lot goes into this).
If you can now,get married and include your spouse (when you eventually get married before the finalization of your FSW application). Both of you can land or one of you can land and then return back to the country as you have an average of between 10 to 6 months between the issuance of your PR visa and the expiration of the visa (period before you must land).
You need to weigh the pros and the cons.
On a personal note, why don't you want to get married now and include your spouse in your application? - Canadian girls are beautiful ooo, they can make you forget "home",the same goes for Canadian men .Including her is not the same as landing with her. The principal applicant can land first while the accompanying spouse can land later before the expiration date on the PR visa. Thanks for this piece Solomon. But what if guy1234 informs AVO of marriage but filled that the wife as a dependant won't be accompanying him to Canada. Will it be easy for the wife to join him after 2yrs? |

HELP HELP HELPP !!!!!!!
Hello guys.
Am a fswp 2014 applicant. Already received PER . I am considering marrying my fiancée, but she would be a non-accompanying spouse. I want to get settled first before I bring her in.
What are the processes of bringing a formerly non-accompanying spouse in under a fsw application ?
Do I have to go through a fresh family class application? Damkollins and Solomonwis, can we attend to guy1234 please. I really am interested in such case because of my trainees! |

Hello house, to send updated documents to AVO, which address should I use? Also, is the original copy of PCC to be used or a copy of it? |

zeelo2014: congrats technolee. Been having thoughts on that same issue too but I'm more comfortable sponsoring her later on after landing. It works for people especially if u can prove beyond doubt that it's genuine. I have saved conversations and pictures of about 6yrs ago. Thank you so much my man. Well, I pray that it goes smooth with you when the time comes. We cannot live above our thoughts. Just believe that nothing is impossible. |

damkollins: You don't want to go through the rigorous route of adding spouse after landing...the route is crazy and torturous. Just as you have been advised,do it hassle free before getting your PR. Cheers. Dare my man! I opened my mail this morning and I saw my PER staring at me. I thank God for the process so far. @guy1234, I have told you that the process of bringing in your spouse after landing is next to impossible minding the processes involved. Please, do all you have in your capacity to include your spouse. Call me later and we will discuss about the step to take. @Damkollins, since my PER got to me yesterday, should I update my VO now or I wait till after Jan 3rd after tieing the knot? |

akanjiaku: if one submited an application for canadian federal skilled worker less than 30 days ago but notices inconsistence in the friends debit card that was used for the application , is it possible to resubmit another form of payment like bank guarantee check or other alternative type of payment. can it be accepted?. please advise.... Mba, No, Rara. All you have to do is to keep praying and ask your friend to be consistent for 3months at least. You should have asked or research into this before using him/her. I wish you all the best. |

Bro, you really need to pray and hope that the officer in charge of your application uses his/her brain to look at the box above as it is just a negligible error to me. |

justwise: My apologies for the hidden posts especially to sensible and helpful members here who have been doing all they can to help and keep this thread going.
I did not want this thread to be derailed by few individuals.
@Solomonwis' keep doing what you are doing, telling people to do the right thing is not always popular especially with some Nigerians. Justwise, this forum is a part of the face of Nigerians abroad. Can you please, delete most if not all of the interactions and counter-interactions on the last 3 pages. It is a bad signal to the newbies on the thread. Thank you |

sholay2011: Please, is it advisable I go with my phones to the embassy (of course, switched off but still with them)?
And is the interview done 'first come, first served'?
Thanks. Shola, on your appointment confirmation print out, you have all these instructions there. In my time, I went with my documents, transport fare, and ATM card. When you get home, you will update us on your success. Spend your time more on preparation rather than thinking of a failure that doesn't exist. Oau no dey carry last now. Where is Kofsy BTW? |

azeezbaba: Congratulations to Technolee and Damkollins. We are following you behind
Damkollins, please, my status will change next month and I would be required to change my visa office from Accra to Ottawa. I would be resident in the US as a student as from next month. Should I notify the CIO immediately I entered US about my change of status or I should wait till school resumes in January. I don't want a situation where my application would have been sent to AVO before I notify them. I received my PER October 9th, 2014.
Thank you Leave CIO out of this and deal with AVO. Since you have gotten your PER, your document has been moved. We have got similar case and I pray we'll get over it IJN. |
