marshaldollz: I had my visa interview today in Lagos and was delayed...that's why I'm askingThank God you were delayed and not denied. Make sure you share the experience here. Keep occupying... |
marshaldollz: Lagos or Abuja which is better for a student VisaYour bed or your chair, which is better for a sleep?!!!! It all depends on your location because 'A lizard in Lagos cannot become a crocodile in Abuja'. Visit the nearest visa office to you and be optimistic. Wish you all the best |
ivory23456: I was granted the visa today after may 2nd rejection.Alles gute. We await the replay of your interview. |
De Tus: @technoless, well, you do not have to worry. First of all, you make the payment, wait 2-3 working days for processing and then go to their website and print out your receipt. Good luck in your interview.Thank you very much for your swift response. Please, like how much should I arrange for not minding how I get to cotonou? |
My people in the house, please, I need an urgent response to this; If I manage to pay my SEVIS fee at cotonou, how am mine going to get the receipt mailed to me? I need to know because a visa interview has been scheduled for June 12 and am yet to pay for SEVIS. "I am quoting a friend ni oooo' I don't want any arrest when it comes to my own question |
kofsy: Dkgetmuny I see you are from GREAT IFE, keep representing bro!!! I'm a proud Great Ife alumnus too. I hope we'll meet in the US, lol. Though I'm still at the preliminary stage(about to write GRE) Congrats once again...Let us keep representing..... See you soon @ wvu |
smokes: I dont think its possible to secure an appoinment without the 120 forms, there are indeed places were you are required to fill the sevis number and school code on both the ds160 and interview scheduling forms, so without the 120 shipped to you , theres no way of knowing , just get the 120 forms, its the first step.God bless you mehn! Exactly why I said capital NO. You cannot book unless you have the I-20 or you have informed your school to mail it to your contact person in yankee and the person then scan and send to you before mailing to you proper. Anyway, you can start the process as you will need some other things like your passport number, choice of state for the interview, etc. Please, let us treat another issue and move forward because, I scheduled for a friend yesterday and I hope to come back here in 33days time for thanksgiving. |
dkgetmuny: rock the town ke.....na book me i dey go read oo....what course is he goin forYou suppose understand me now. Show them that naija's get the IQ pass indians and chinkos!! He is going for MS in ECE. |
[quote author=ardewharle]@dkgetmuny, I just scheduled a friend for his visa interview on June 12. He is hoping to join for fall 2013 at WVU, Morgan town. I won't mind hooking him up with you so you guys could rock the town together!!! Let us start from here please. |
flynbird: Guys is it possible to schedule an appointment with the embassy without having my I-20 yet. School resumes soon. Just need to secure a space before then but before then I should have my I-20 and all.Capital NO. Not without a code on your I-20. Just get everything you need ready and you follow up as soon as you get the paper. Enjoy |
bigfrancis21: IMPERIOUXX and Others in the House:Franco, your suggestion was right and it is the cheapest so far. Let him gather all his document and send them through registered mail. It will get down in 10 or 12 work days maximum. I sent a bank statement of account to my undergraduate lecturer studying at tennessee last month and it took less than 10 days self and I paid N350. The price is a function of document size but, no matter what, he can't spend more than N1500. My 2 cents |
mr swagger: @technloee you quoted my last post but you didn't write anything regarding the question I asked about getting immunization at the airport. Please get back to me on this issue. Thnx broDon't mind me my brother. I actually replied and I don't know what ensued. Anyway, he did the vaccination at MMA (meningitis and yellow fever). He had the mind of doing it at Texas as a rich kid but, he saw doctors at the airport administering the test (man pikin must fetch for daily needs you know!) and he paid 1k. In your own case, you can arrange for like 3k,try it out and get back to the house for us to have a sure place of getting the vaccines when required. I am on standby for any other clarification. One love |
mr swagger: @technolee, which of the airport did ur friend do the vaccination, is it the international airport or local airport. |
flynbird: I'll like to know the time it takes TOEFL to send down the paper score of a test. I wrote the test on the 8th of March and they sent a copy of the score to my school and the school have received it, but I'm yet to get my own copy. I used my house address in ibadan not a P.O.Box. Do I have to go and check with Nipost and if yes with which tracking number do I show Nipost. Anyone in a similar situation?I took the test on the 25th of August last year and I got the paper copy in December at my home address in lagos. You should get yours by June or early July. However, I will suggest you mail ETS asap to confirm if it has been sent. Don't wait for what isn't coming. My little contribution |
FIZIK: 1) If it is compulsory to have the required bank balance in a current account as that would require transferring it from its present repository: a savings account? You can use any account provided it has a good cash flow and the balance is equivalent to or greater than the stipulated annual fee. For your vaccination, a friend at Texas A&M-Kingsville did his own at the airport for 1k while leaving for spring 2013 (trust naija with sharp business as you have qualified doctors in search of daily needs). You can arrange 2k maximum while leaving but, don't wait till you get to college station unless you are a rich kid. My little contribution @my oga's at the top, you can add more pls |
klplus: hello all,Exactly my score. I wrote last year's august. Planning to retake the test this september and I will focus on next fall. Man pikin go gather money before then self!!! Wish you additional points: from 297 to 325+ |
mish1010: live and work in Dubai, Qatar, Canada, and Omar get a visa in two weeks at a very affordable price call mishael now on +2348074839255 you pay after you see your visa so pleas feel free to callEvaporate, you agent of denudation!!!! No dull brain here. Place advert somewhere else. @justwise, what are you waiting for? |
bigfrancis21: Tuale!I believe God for bigfrancis. Go get it bro. Cos you have all it takes plus the grace of God. My fellow ECE student!!! |
bigfrancis21: I took my time and effort to help a brother out and his insult is what I get in return? Did I in any way offend him to warrant his telling me to shut up? I'm not offended. I'll let it pass. God sees the heart and intentions of everyone and he rewards as such. This is quite matured of you. Just keep doing good bro. Because in life, you will meet people with both positive and negative mindset and your ability to cope with them has a long way to go in all spheres of your pursuit. My piece!!! |
Isobutylene: I was scheduled for the 8a.m interview on Sunday (yesterday) and got to the embassy around 7:05am cos it was a 15 minutes walking distance from my crib, behold I was the first to get there. Security check started at 7:30am before I entered the waiting room. After finger prints were taken I was asked to wait till I'll be called upon for the interview. I began muttering "Thou O Lord shall arise and have mercy upon me for the time to favor me, Yeah the set time has come". After like 10 minutes, I was the first to be called for the interview on counter No. 2.Congratulobia!! Wish you all the best in your pursuit bro. |
ferdimako: GRE is for graduate candidates of non-business major even some Economics candidates do it and TOEFL is for everyone and still optional. Some candidates need to do both to be on the safe side and student mode.Undergraduate candidates do SAT and TOEFL and sometimes only one of the two. IELTS is done in place of TOEFL by graduates and undergraduate candidates.@bigwig10, please, you are always dragging this thread backward with your questions. I will suggest that you take time to research first before dishing out questions. I didn't know about NL before pursuing a graduate study in the US and I gathered more than enough via google. We need other solid questions to learn from because, you have answers to yours in previous pages. |
@bigfrancis21,impericoco!, please, I need the GRE material as I intend to retake the test again. All the schools I applied to were just giving admission and admission only without scholarship of any form. Freedom4jacobi@gmail.com |
