De Tus: @technoless, well, you do not have to worry. First of all, you make the payment, wait 2-3 working days for processing and then go to their website and print out your receipt. Good luck in your interview.

smokes: I dont think its possible to secure an appoinment without the 120 forms, there are indeed places were you are required to fill the sevis number and school code on both the ds160 and interview scheduling forms, so without the 120 shipped to you , theres no way of knowing , just get the 120 forms, its the first step.

I read somewhere on this thread, I don't remember the page actually, about NIPOST registered mailing to overseas. Please can someone who has used it recently quickly recap how one can go about it and the cost? My course mate wants to send his documents across to a university in the UK and he needs the cheapest means possible. I then suggested to him to send via NIPOST registered mail. I'm waiting.

And also, do they do this particular immunization at the airport; ( Measles, Mumps, rubella) and Hepatitis B.

flynbird: I'll like to know the time it takes TOEFL to send down the paper score of a test. I wrote the test on the 8th of March and they sent a copy of the score to my school and the school have received it, but I'm yet to get my own copy. I used my house address in ibadan not a P.O.Box. Do I have to go and check with Nipost and if yes with which tracking number do I show Nipost. Anyone in a similar situation?

2) I am a prospective Aggie, a Texan university and they require proof of bacterial meningitis. I tried getting the vaccination some days ago but was tols am less likely to assess that in South-Eastern Nigeria.No one has mentioned this on this thread to my suprise and I would like to know if anybody had taken the vaccination and where?

Isobutylene: I was scheduled for the 8a.m interview on Sunday (yesterday) and got to the embassy around 7:05am cos it was a 15 minutes walking distance from my crib, behold I was the first to get there. Security check started at 7:30am before I entered the waiting room. After finger prints were taken I was asked to wait till I'll be called upon for the interview. I began muttering "Thou O Lord shall arise and have mercy upon me for the time to favor me, Yeah the set time has come". After like 10 minutes, I was the first to be called for the interview on counter No. 2.

V.O: Good Morning
Me: Good Morning
V.O: why are you going to the US?
Me: For my PhD Studies
V.O: where?
Me: Told him
V.O: wow!...that's my state
Me: Really?
V.O: Yeah, it's a very good school, you'll enjoy the soccer...blah blah blah
V.O: So, who's gonna pay for your studies?
Me: I'm on a full scholarship
V.O: Really?
Me: Yeah,(so I gave him my offer letter from the department)...he read it
V.O: You mean the university gave you this? (Guess he was surprised at the enormousness of the assistantship)

V.O: Can I have your college transcripts?
Me: Sure, here they are....first gave him my BSc transcript, then he later asked for my MS transcript

V.O: Are you gonna enroll for any language program
Me: Nope, English is the official language in my country Nigeria and I have passed the English language requirement
V.O: Okay
V.O: Have you ever travelled to Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen etc (He asked because I'm presently in a Gulf country)
Me: Nah, Nah, Nah
V.O: Okay, this is your first time of going to the US?
Me: Yeah
V.O: Okay, I will approve your visa and it will be ready in 3 days, go to the back over there and pay for the delivery at the FedEx stand. The cost is an equivalent of 2,700 Naira.
Me: 3 days?
V.O: Yeah, 3 days
Me: Thank you
I was just singing in my heart as I left the Embassy with joy in my soul because now I know that DREAMS COME TRUE!!!

ferdimako: GRE is for graduate candidates of non-business major even some Economics candidates do it and TOEFL is for everyone and still optional.Some candidates need to do both to be on the safe side and student mode.Undergraduate candidates do SAT and TOEFL and sometimes only one of the two. IELTS is done in place of TOEFL by graduates and undergraduate candidates.
