You can only pay visa fee with GTbank.

While trying to make the payment did you get any error response or it went at the first trial?
No error at all. It was even made during one of the public holidays for eid-el-Kabir. Token is essential though. I printed the receipt asap too and it contains a number which was used during appointment scheduling.

hoping to hear from you all brodas
The time you are taking to spam this thread with your question would be more fruitful if only you can google search schools that accepts your grade and mail the coordinator of your intending course stating your case to him/her. They may regard a good GRE and TOEFL score over your grade even. Start now and I tell you, you will laugh in the end. I have seen a school before during my search and they take 2.25gpa but I can't remember them for now. I wish you all the best.

Why can't you help yourself? I suspect a foul play here unless he has a scanned copy of your I20 with him. @Slimmy05, I paid the visa fee online eventually. May God help us all.

Tanks technolee
U did answer part of my question but i think i should be A Little clearer
During my period in school,do i write the four year period together.e.g 2000-2004 studying in bauchi or its prefered to split it jan 2000-may 2000 first semester studying then
may to june on holidays selling rice
June to august second semester studying

Seniors/experts any other view
Just go straight to business. You schooled between that period only. Your 2000-2004 is the correct way because of the available space.

Hello house
Pls on the background form for activities in the last 10 years or since the age of 18.which is preferred
2000-2004 studying bachelor of education
2004-2005 service year
OR
JAN2000-april 2000 first semester 100 level
Then april 2000-may 2000 vacation in lagos. Do i need to explain all semester holidays or i can go with the first pattern.
Experts pls help
It all depends on your age. If you are in the age range 18-28, follow the clause 'since the age of 18' else, the clause 'in the last 10 years' will make more sense. On the other question, go with the second pattern starting from the current date to the old dates and ensure there are no gaps. For example: Jan 2004-October 2014 sold rice for mama Basira, October 2002- August 2003 worked with Google as a phisher. You can see that there was no account for Sept 2003 till December 2003. Please, don't allow for such as it will make them return your application. Hope I have answered your questions satisfatorily?
PS: Damkollins was my coach while making my application. Still counting on God for consideration. Enjoy your weekend.

Thank you sweetie!

It does not have anything to do with the chances of getting your visa. Just be smart enough and believe in possibilities. You could be a testimony for this thread of ours.

Don't sweat too much my friend. What I did in my case was that I typed and printed the name and address on an A4 paper. Just follow suit and be positive.

kclub83: please, for those that have applied for the federal skill program, how much is the payment after subsmitting your application coz i need to know to be able to prepare myself for the payment.
If only you can make time to download the application guide, most of these questions will be like yam to you. Well, for a single applicant, you will be charged CAD550.

johnsontade: The reason I was skeptical is cos someone said my ielts point will give me 20 and not 23 because my listening score is not up to 8.0 which puts me on CLB 8. I guess the person calculated it according to the CLB and not separately according to the 4 different ability.
You are responsible for your points my brother. You have calculated it correctly. Just be optimistic and ask as many questions as possible on here. I wish you all the best once again.

johnsontade: Ielts is General training. Just about to start my credential evaluation...plan to apply by december cos that is when my calculated work experience would clock 2yrs as I started working November 2012. Can apply for either Civil Engineer noc or Construction estimator noc cos my job description fits in for both occupations.
It is all good. I wish you all the best.

johnsontade: Hello house, Been following this thread for a very long time but wasn't really into Canada because I was initially keen on Australia. I calculated my points and would want to know ig i'm accurate or not. This is my breakdown;

Age- btw18-35 = 12 points
B.Tech (Civil Engineering) = 21 points
2 years work exp= 11 points
Ielts- Listening (7.5) = 5 points
Speaking (8.0) = 6 points
Reading (8.5) = 6 points
Writing (7.0) = 6 points
Total = 67 points.
Is my calculation accurate and am I good to go cos i'm kinda skeptical about applying with exactly 67 points. Would appreciate your inputs.
In this game, 67points and 100points carries the same weight. Don't be skeptical over what doesn't exist!. Go ahead and apply. Hope your IELTS is for general training? Have you evaluated your credential too??

Meritl: Damkollins, how can we write our name in our native language? #Nigerian.
Don't give yourself too much headache my brother. I took the courage to finalise my package yesterday and had been mailed to sydney. Just leave the part for your name in 'native language' blank and carry on with the process.
How far? What stage are you in the process or are you yet to conclude your wedding??. I wish us all, the best in our immigration quest.

Meritl: Hello House. I just got a worry that I call "little".
I took my passport photograph from Photoshop. I showed them the specifications but, when I took the passport home and measured with my Ruler, I discovered that the passports were about 3 centimers
Longer than the (35X45mm) stated size.
Do I need a retake or its still in order.
Thanks.
Same case here. Not to worry because we are very good to go.

Since I am a single applicant, do I need to provide 6 passports of me or I include my brothers, sisters, mother, etc to make up the required number?

mushej: Hi, Today I received my IELTS results

   Overall Band 6.0
   Listening 6.0
   Reading 6.5
   Writing 5.5
   Speaking 6.0

I am very sorry for my Writing 5.5.
I would like your advise what to do retake or apply for re-mark or apply to Skilled Worker program with this result.
thanks in advance
You cannot apply with this result because you need a minimum score of 6 across the bands. If only you are sure of what you wrote during the test, you can apply for a re-mark. Try re-take the test if your NOC is not hot cake.

damkollins: For this part of the form, you will observe and notice that the currency to use is already stated in the columns(see the 1st attached pix). They specifically asked applicants to indicate in "Canadian Dollars" with a further "$" symbol there.....You need to use your calculator to convert your naira amount into canadian dollar to know what to write down here....been accurate or not doesn't really matter as fluctuations can occur...its just a current analysis of Naira against Canadian dollar.
What actually matters is the evidence of the settlement/proof of funds you include.
If you check number 15 of your document checklist,I quote below...(see the 2nd attached pix)
"provide proof of unencumbered and readily transferable funds in a convertible currency available for settlement in Canada"
Note the word "convertible currency".
Convertible currency from my small knowledge of Business studies means "A currency that can be freely exchanged into another currency for any purpose, without regulatory restrictions. Convertible currencies are generally associated with open and stable economies, and their prices are typically determined through supply and demand forces in the FOREIGN EXCHANGE market "
This gives credence to the fact that applicant are meant to generate their statement of accounts/bank certifications in their local currency provided the currency is convertible and I believe our currency is convertible.
Cheers.
You went this far to prove a point? God bless you bro. Following you in spirit already!
TravelRe: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by technolee(m): 9:49am On Jul 22, 2014
damkollins: CIC officials work includes conversion of your statement of accounts to Canadian equivalent Soooooo there is really no need to add a cover letter.
Don't worry....so many applicants including myself did not include cover letter and it was okay.
You must also understand that regardless of your cover letter,CIC will use the existing and current exchange rate at the international market for their conversion which is why i always advice applicants to add 10% excess of their family size POF to take care of negative market fluctuations in currency by the time CIC is processing their application .
Summarily, leave but cover letter regarding this issue.
Cheers
.
You are too much damkollins. One more thing to ask before I will follow your on here; in the schedule A form, where we have assets, liabilities and unencumbered cash, do I need to convert the assets to CAD as that is the default currency. Also, is the 'asset+liabilities =unencumbered cash'?

I need advise on the statement of account or account declaration of a thing @Gurus.
Do I need to add a letter myself to give an approximate conversion of the balance to USD? Also, is a month statement of account okay??.

Grateful2014: Hello house, gurus... I am just starting this now, please assess me:

Age: 30
Education: BSc Accounting, ACA, MBA
Years of experience: 9 years
Age: 30 =12Points
Education: BSc Accounting, ACA, MBA =23points if you evaluate your MBA
Years of experience: 9 years =15points if it is relevant to your NOC.
Go take IELTS and you would be fine with a minimum of 17points.
