shadeyinka2: And instead of daddy and mummy growing up to maturity and owning up to their responsibilities, they throw tantrums about not caring about the innocent children. After all, the children were not there when the were swearing for better for worse
It is what it is. I'm not in support of the current trends but it is what it is.
People are getting more and more selfish in recent times..... and often letting go is the only way to keep one's sanity. Avoiding unnecessary rancour and in extreme cases, bloodshed.
Expectations are so unreal... The dogmatism often expressed is blinding... In my humble opinion, in some cases, It was a car crash waiting to happen, if you assess the life partner choices of certain people.
Queseda: My friend has been seperated from his wife for over 3years, the marriage produced no kids. They did court marriage, will he have to share his property with the wife? The wife is the petitioner
Waiting for op to shed more light on this
And also on impact of pre-nuptials on sharing formula..
Personally, I feel that... what you bring in, is what you take out.. Particularly if the union shows no significant sacrifice on the part of the lower earner.
Rebuke: Gosh! I must say this, many Nigerians are criminals. Give them opportunity and they will manifest
I won't be surprised if this is a deliberate attempt or arrangement by the government to really have reasons to deal with you with a stronger hand
To your last statement, govment no get una time.. Dem dey too busy looting through contracts
If u na like, make u na dey kill ya self.. Dey go soon bring overbloated budget to correct the destruction.. Only just dat, Dem dey neva finis job Pomp and pageantry when starting projects.. Not when completing..... 3 years later, Dem still dey recommission project wey don Tey.. Block neva reach lintel level
streetfabulous: I have also wondered how people composed themselves to get their phones and start streaming Instagram live when bullets were flying as they claim. Well, I am not taking sides but l still think something is wrong somewhere and we must find out.
Haven't you seen people taking pictures of accident victims taking their last breaths..
SM has so desensitised people.. Its all about the 'Gram'.
Nigerians have blown an opportunity that might take over a decade to present itself again. We should have cashed out when the fruits were ripe, but we allowed them to rot away on the trees.
This whole thing should have been suspended nowhen SagaLink and Aisha called for it's suspension, but people with ulterior motives rejected such, saying neither Aisha or Saga had the right to call off the protests. Calling it off and sitting on a round table with government representatives was meant to be the next reasonable step to take, but that was never to be.
Tell me now, is there any chance of the government inviting people to a round table for any discussion or negotiation? Make very strong demands with a threat to taking back to the streets if theyre not met. I know there's a cardinal rule in life that says "it is best to negotiate from a position of strength". Now, does the protest still have the strength and credibility it had a week ago? Would people still take to the streets if protests are called today?
Now, the goodwill the people had for the protest has been lost, so much so that SagaLink and Aisha Yosufu are throwing subtle shades at each other.
So saddening.
The momentum is still present Might be reduced due to the distraction of the killings, looting etc
BUT #Sorosoke is alive...
The consciousness is palpable and will grow organically..
States with proactive leaders will do well to engage actively, visibly in a credible way.
Then the rebirth continues regardless of tribe, ethnicity or religion
Merciful71: hmmm, i got strategy men. since she's asleep you don't need stress. just place your thing there softly and enter before she will notice you're on for about 5 oscillations. she wake up like this she can't push you away, all her complain will be soft like why are you doing this now. Even correct babe will tell you to continue. which girl doesn't like the feeling of dick in her raw pussy
dingbang: i've been there before bro, but you see, you have to be able to control your díck. In order to set boundaries, you can as well buy a smaller mattress for her to sleep on.
Agree with you
Then get a girl in to sort yourself on your mattress....
ATEAMS: We’re all seeking that special person who is right for us. But if you’ve been through enough relationships, you begin to suspect there’s no right person, just different flavors of wrong. Why is this? Because you yourself are wrong in some way, and you seek out partners who are wrong in some complementary way. But it takes a lot of living to grow fully into your own wrongness. And it isn’t until you finally run up against your deepest demons, your unsolvable problems—the ones that make you truly who you are—that we’re ready to find a lifelong mate. Only then do you finally know what you’re looking for. You’re looking for the wrong person. But not just any wrong person: the right wrong person—someone you lovingly gaze upon and think, “This is the problem I want to have.”
Abeg face the topic!!
Stop waxing lyrical cos you don see new person to pipe Shioor
thesilentman: My signature? Oh I didn't remember thanks for that. What's paining me is that I think he feels that am too small ( young ) to have such a beautiful young wife. Only heaven can help me now.I just wanna teach him a lesson.Am no gentleman.
Don't be violent... It never goes well
Leave the residence as soon as reasonably possible.
Seek for other women he might have assaulted and help them seek redress.. Some of the NGOs may help.. The least will be publishing his list of nefarious activities
cugardmalino: Looting is the pleasure that comes with pain. Protest is the anger that comes with pain. They both work hand in hand. When you’re comfortable you protest but when you’re not you loot. Those that eat from hand to mouth are the ones they use to Shawn you during the times you need to excise you civic responsibilities. Change comes with pain and everyone will have a story to tell. 5yrs they are preaching change and the economy is sinking. Just small 2wks of unrest someone people dey talk like say them dey blind since birth and their ears dey deaf too. I stand for Change and the unrest that comes with it. Like they say, the fight we are fighting is the war the politicians have put on ground waiting for it to manifest. War comes with pain and it signifies that WAR = We All Regret. Las las after all we go enjoy if the necessary change comes and every children will be proud to say my parents are heroes.
Oga, your philosophy no get any reasonable attempt at being an actuality!!
Forgive my pun.
This pain, revolution, unrest - simply not needed....... All that happens is a change of guards- corrupt ones at that,........ who become worse as the days go by.
BUT the innocent, the poor bear the brunt.. fallout.
Interesting thing is that though the poor/innocents fan the embers into a flame and eventually a raging fire, they never actually get the benefit.. They are consumed in the process like charcoal!!
The cycle continues
.
What we need is creation and enactment of laws that create a traction for upliftment of the common good.
The charitable sector coming into support the lack in society, not just a few audio pictures.
People becoming more resilient to do good despite temptations.
The return to the old days of publicly shaming and excluding those with unexplained funds..
Let's cleanse the land of evil,.... be it tiny, small or great..
rottennaija: "Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather" ... Mt 24:28
Unending protest is a breeding ground for all sortof social vices, anarchy, insurrection, looting, rioting, killings, disintegration, revolution etc.
When a protest goes on and on and on, it would eventually be hijacked by people with evil intent (not connected to the protest). It could be those who have hatred for a particular leader, it could those who want to see the country burn (IPOB and revolutionnow) as long as it would make them king of the ashes, it could be those who had been targeting your business or life or even foreign powers who would see the country burn so they make money from sells of arms and resources theft.
You guys were warned the protest had been hijacked and should end it, and allow the govt work on the demands. Instead, you guys reinterpreted what Endsars is, added more demands, ask the president to resign, wanted to protest for 30 days so the UN would step( deceived into believing so by those who had scheme ahead of you to use the protest for their evil intent), the celebrities urged you on, contributed money.
Let me ask you, when the curfew came, and the soldiers approached to enforce it, how many celebrities were at the front? Where was Ay, Omotola, Davido? Were there with you at the lekki Gate? Or they were tweeting from their homes? How many foreign power do you know would like to see Nigeria burn as long as they make their billions stealing our resources, selling arms to each sides?
Businesses are destroyed, homes damage, job lost, at least for the next 3 months before all can be recovered. Who suffer the most? Nigerians youth, use your head. Our govt is bad, there is corruption everywhere, not just the govt but also among the youth. True. But it can get worse as long as we are heading this path and allow those with evil intent to burn it down.
At the end, when every breaks down. The celebrities would be outside the country tweeting (just as they were missing in the lekki Gate). The govt officials who can afford would fly out of the country. Businesses men who can and saw the signs ahead would run to another country. But we the millions of youth would suffer the most.
And don't make the mistake of thinking we would ground all flight. That they won't be able to fly out. They will see the early signs of war and disintegration weeks or months ahead. They would fly out weeks or months before everything goes up in flames.
Be wise people. Just as in this protest, the common people suffer at the end.
Guy, the oil of wisdom on your head will never run out amen!!!
Having looked at several videos with a range of claims, it's not unpatriotic to ask a few pertinent questions...
In the heat of the moment, with anger and hurt running through the veins, words may be used carelessly.... But in the cold light of day, only Facts.. Verifiable evidence will stand.
I found the 13 min video by the young man the most credible, robust and balanced .. His recollections were congruent, appeared truthful and in keeping with time lines. His verbal and non-verbal cues were congruent as well. His acknowledgement of poor knowledge of other events was the deciding factor for me.
Another analysis about the positioning of guns which might have contributed to the various injuries and likely death, may provide more light on the matter. Injuries from the ensuing stampede will also add to the number of casualties
The presence of SARS after the army left is what is still to be verified...
Salmoneus: Ordinary youths would just loot and run, but why destroy many buildings...the amount of unemployment created would be MASSIVE!! the coming days in this country will be very hard!
Not necessarily.. This is where the #ENDSARS movement can gain traction... 1. Create a verified register of all affected businesses 2. Assess financial damage 3. Assess for financial vulnerability... On a traffic light system.. . Those with insurance or back up naturally will be least vulnerable
4. Raise funds.. If 150M can be raised in days.. Can't see any problem raising multiples of that to assist people who have become casualties of "war".
5.Disburse in a credible transparent way within the confines of state law
5b. This is an opportunity for government to increase good will and help with tax breaks/ holidays and administer lieus for business fees. It's herculean but can be done.. CAC can help with data records etc whilst audits done by independent accounting firms free.. Pro bono work by legal luminaries...
Then we as an electorate are walking the talk we often demand of our leaders
capatainrambo: It all happened because Buhari sent army to kill protesters .
Before the idiot called Buhari sent the army there was nothing like this in lagos.
Buhari is responsible for this.
Sanwolu the governor is also complicit he should have resisted and given a strong world prior to the killing of peaceful protestors.
This happened because people did not behave in a matured and proportionate manner despite provocation, and allow justice to be delivered..
2 wrongs don't make a right!!
If this happened to the alleged perpetrators, it might have bought more support... but this was done to innocent people and offices/livelihoods of people who supported the original movement...
Now that's senseless - - attacking yourself..
This is unacceptable collateral damage, even to war strategists!
Osyxcel: It's like you don't know the number of street urchins in Lagos. If you do, you won't write what you did above.
Some of these street urchins/touts have some level of education, but their orientation is bad.
Rehabilitate and provide jobs for them, monitor them and let them know that once they commit a crime, they will be apprehended, prosecuted and sent to jail.
You both are saying the same thing but from different perspectives..
There are urchins who are products of unfortunate circumstances.. These can be helped or rehabilitated easily
There are those who are pretty much self-made.. These ones will be difficult to engage with, till their psychological needs are treated. Not all will be redeemable, unfortunately.
And there are those who fall between the 2 ends of the spectrum.
phransix2: They have been trying for 3 days now to loot computer village, knowing the worth of phones and gadgets in those shops. We also have been keeping vigil and the men are trying not to start a war here too that's why rounds are shot into the air and not aimed at them.
Is Looting part of the protest?
Thanks for the update.. Wish you and your comrades well
