I finally got a call that my passport is ready. Captured 14th April. Paid 15k for express.

I was at their Ikoyi Office on Friday. They gave me a brown file to process my passport application. However, i noticed a lot of people with white files. I then asked one of the officers the reason why? He said the people that go through officers are the ones with white files, while people that process their application are given brown file. This is to differentiate and allow them to know who to focus on.

To make matters interesting, after capturing, they collect files and tell people with brown files to submit theirs at Servicom.

With all those same officers still working there, the 6 weeks passport project is more of an illusion.

So I finally got my passport yesterday after capturing on the 17th of February. It was strictly DYI. Collection date was supposed to be 24th of March. The process was worth it but I think it took longer than expected to come out. Thanks everyone for the help and support.

There should be a collection room. If you go early enough, there will be an announcement for those who have come for collection to turn in their collection slip but if you come later, you can just meet any officer in sight that you have come for collection and I believe they will direct you to the right room. By the way, what office did you capture at?

I guess you check back after 2 weeks, that is the official time frame between capturing and collection from most I have seen. You can give them an extra week to be on a safe side.

In that case, advise him on when he can go for pickup, he needs this information.

Date of collection is not written on the small white paper given to you. You can only see that on a printed collection slip.

Sometimes, people get a handwritten note on which their enrollment number is written...and this is because their NIN hasn't dropped yet. Like I said, SOMETIMES...

dnt pay any money to anyone. Just return on the day written on ur slip and check if it is there, if anyone says anythin about paying money, run away from such a person and meet another individual

If you enrolled at Alausa or Ikoyi, make out time and visit the immigration offices next week Thursday and check the status of your enrollment. Few Booklets are available and more are still being produced

Hello everyone, I have a question please. Would they ask to see the original state of origin certificate? I only have photocopy with me as I lost the original in an accident,so should I just do another one
