canadaishome:Try London Metropolitan University.. |
Na God go help us with our "educated than thou" mentality for this country. If our education were to be top notch, I see no reason why we should be "japaing" then. Leave people wey go Benin abeg. Every system has its own saboteurs. Leave them for nature to search out. Many people wey dey hype Naija certificate for here, do exam today, na f9 go full ground. |

mescanayo:Gbese de!!!! 2k ke!!! Extortion at its best!!! Cash out scope |
zinaunreal:What value does your Nigeria certificate command in today's world? Let's be frank. We have the same problem as Benin. The difference is just that we have found ways to "pretend" ours is more sophisticated. Simple. |
zinaunreal:My problem with you is your bias. Majority of Nigerian schools curricular are not just ancient but not relevant in the 21st century. So what's the difference? Let's first put off the fire that's burning the tip of our dress before seeking to put off that of another. Our system is crooked as well. Sorting, ancient teaching style, irrelevant course work, lack of modern equipments and a host of other issues have bedevilled our own system that we claim is far better. Denying that fact will be to simply postpone the evil day. Very simple. Let's bring back standard to our universities, fund them properly, eliminate the strike factor, eliminate insecurity and cultism, create more universities to cater for the surging population and see if people won't be forced back to stay here. Do you know how many people get killed without any media platform reporting it? A lot of people cannot afford to stay back here in a condition of fear and tension. And also, you will simply be setting double standards if you claim that Nigerian graduates who travel abroad to further their education do not have to engage in a rat race to meet up the standards of their colleagues who were trained in developed countries. |
CSTRR:Same way no sane person will consider the top universities in Benin as trash. Thank you. |
Hello house. Is one obliged to submit reference letter again at the embassy after issuance of CAS? |
zinaunreal:By your perception. You might need to be enlightened that many developed countries consider Nigerian degrees to be thrash as well and Nigerians as people that love to feel among will want to meet out similar treatment to other countries. Naso we do, Benin cfa is almost equivalent to Naira. Have you been to that country to appreciate the level of progress going on there? It's easy for Nigerians to feel like citizens of the so called giant but for your information the giant has since been sedated and other smaller nations are overtaking. It's all a circular world after all. |
Nigerians and hypocrisy of unimaginable levels ![]() Here we are lambasting and discrediting people who travelled to Benin to get a Degree when we ourselves know that majority of our own local universities teach using curricular of the last century. We also know that our educational system is no different from that of Benin but we chose to allow sentiments over reason. Those we should antagonize are those subverting the systems. It's stupid and mundane to take certain positions on a population based on the actions of a few. Is terrorism prevalent in all parts of Nigeria? When you say people should not travel to look for admission, what opportunities do you have here that can cater for them? Have you looked at the booming figures of secondary schools students churned out in Nigeria on a yearly basis? Do we have the needed number of institutions that can take all of them in? Yet we come here to spew rubbish. Yes, let's stop people from going to neighboring countries to acquire degrees and see if the level of criminality will not rise astronomically. Let's see if those of you who are saying jargons can sleep with your two eyes closed. I know people who genuinely travelled to Benin to escape insecurity, cultism, uncertain future, unhealthy competition and other vices experienced in Nigeria. Many people don't know what others are facing yet they come on platforms to say rubbish at any given opportunity. The teachers in Kaduna with fake certificates were from where? Benin? Cameron? ![]() Typical example of pot calling kettle black. |
Barisvilla:Any update? |
need to be advised please. Is it officially correct to scan documents using CamScanner, tapscanner and other similar apps given the fact that their trademark is always on such documents? Hope there will be no retribution whatsoever for anybody who decides to make use of them? |

How has it been since you tried? |
While I do not in any way support mediocrity or sham qualifications, I have to make some facts known. One, what exactly is the major reason why students flock to neighboring countries in their numbers to get qualifications? The major reason is the limitation caused by the numerical capacities of Nigerian universities. Are you aware of the numbers of secondary school students that are produced yearly? Can such numbers be effectively admitted within schools in Nigeria? No, hence the institution of Jamb. Haven't you seen people who performed woefully in Jamb go on to do well academically when they finally get admitted? Jamb really is not a test of students ability, it is rather a deliberate means of cutting down on the list of students admittance. In other countries, they do not need a Jamb to help regulate students admittance because there is capacity to cater for them. Simple. Other reasons are endless strike synonymous to Nigeria, general feeling of insecurity, need for tourist experience and so on. Another thing that people are not aware of is that practices differ and vary from nation to nation. Just like in Nigeria where some primary schools would decline awarding admission to primary 4 students who desire to cross over and undertake the last class in their schools, some other schools would take such students in. Schools in neighboring countries have the rights to assess candidates' background and put them in appropriate classes despite the fact that that is not allowed on Nigeria. The fact that it is not possible in Nigeria doesn't make it illegal in other countries. Have a change of mentality please. |
