Politics / Re: Fascinating Photos Of Nigeria Taken Decades Before Its Independence And After. by Teedawg: 3:38pm On Jul 16, 2017
After reading all the post all i have seen are bunch of lazy people doing nothing but pointing fingers and blaming the past leaders..Blaming people who knew how to sacrifice themselves for greater good .
what if the whites never came How will the country even be right now..oil was Blessing to Nigeria just that the same way we have theives in our society so we had thieves in politics whose sole am is to steal not all politician is there to help so deal with it..the people that put you in this situation are in your front right now you see them on TV everyday but yet you turn blind and blame people that gave you the freedom in the first place..you blame whites for leaving soon dont you have the common sense to continue from where they stop ...stay there and be blaming ethnical factors and diversity as the reason for our destruction we have the resources no country apart from china russia Usa and india has but we dont know how to use it because we fold arms and point fingers meanwhile the real people who caused this and their families are making money out of us..
The only people that can fix nigeria is we the people nobody else but nigeria still remains the same because we are still the same we dont wanna come out of our cormfort zone..we want the senators that will pass bill that will fix the country in 24hrs trust me it will still crash because we Nigerians are the cause of our problems ...also talking about boosting agriculture i laugh . you think in the past it was the government that sponsored agriculture? No individuals stood up to do it and becAme succesful at it they didnt sit doan and wait for government to do it they did it for their own reputation a character which we've lost.

if you read this i hope my message has gotten to you and has helped you understand How to fix this country . One Nigeria God bless Nigeria!

i think is better i say what my School told me which is i choose the school because i want to study theology and receive training for higher ministerial skills..if he ask me on what I will say creative media and Evangelism
there are 100 of schools that do that... How many schools did you apply? what made this school standout among the rest you applied? what got your attention most in the school? how is their program like? will you be doing lots of traveling to local areas for evangelism? how many reputable ministers have gone there? is any of an alumni from there your mentor? there should be lots of reasons why you chose the school? is the location of the school in a moderate climate condition you prefer? and lots more?
i was laughing when i was reading the previous transcript about testimonies and all that you can do that in a Nigerian embassy its not church service you are going to lol but don't give up just go and check the school really well, watch their YouTube vidoes if they have, know some of their achievement. if its a theological school you need to bring something different to the table unlike others going to a normal university.. unless its just liberal art Christian university then you'll talk about both the school and then why you chose the program in the school.

Rocket flies because its escape velocity is enough to overcome the earth's gravitational force of attraction. That doesn't imply that gravity is absent., it just means that a much higher force overcame it.

When you were a child, have you ever had two adults with one holding your hands and the other your legs? Or four adults holding each of your limbs? Didn't you suspend in the air? Is your body not symmetrically even at the perfect angles so all that could be feasible. Explain that to me oga?

Look at that pole and see the angle at which the 3 diff wires are all connected? Looks to me like it's a 120o connection or close to it.

Its a perfect triad connected at a perfect angle to give a perfect suspension due to the force/law of equilibrium. Talk about the shape with the strongest connection. The triangle.
actually what i implied was that all the planes ships and rocket you mentioned had to do with all those things i mentioned. nonetheless i have seen what you wer talking about guess i should have been the one to observe the picture well
Thank You smiley

So explain how an airplane can be suspended and also why ships don't sink and turn into submarines or better yet, explain how a rocket is able to defile gravity or stay atop it?

It will be a blow to my face that I, a science student agree that some spiritual forces are at work here. I don't subscribe to cheap-ideas all because its beyond my grasp.
planes ships rocket are not being aided by wires.. we are talking projectiles gravity aerodynamics i can't see any of that in those pictureswasn't also implying that spiritual forces are at work what i was trying to tell you was that the explanations you have to why that wood was hanging is not it oga

A law can not be overcame but can only be subdued by a much higher force/law which in this case is the 'law of equilibrium'. The law that keeps an object stable.

It isn't surprising as there are 3 wires connected at an even angle to the pole. That accounts for the suspension
bro forget this your inglish no apply to that picture examim that image well and you'll know that there is a difference between practical and theorems

Hello to everyone. Have been a silent follower for over a year now went off for a while when I was considering changing the country I wnt to pursue my masters from USA to TURKEY, but even with the admissions given by turkey universities my family has been adamant that it's either USA or never so am faced with my fears and am ready to just face it with the help of GOD and. Nairalanders cos have heard and read a lot about u guys.

Please here are my fears, I applied to some US schools Western Illinois University, Central Michigan University and ETSU, but am just to fascinated to WIU because of a Professor have been in contact with, but the problem is I have a cgpa of 3.19/5.0 and that is the only area am lacking in my program requirements for admission and he told me with my GPA I will be given admission on CONDITION. The status alone is making me unsettled and will that not affect my VISA interview as have been always scared of the interview part right from time and the fear of denial made me opted for turkey in the first place.

Please help a JJC who needs to be put through and please pardon my long note.
picture of you following silently for a year or idonbelievit grin well i've seen lots of people here say taking an external exam can increase your chances so as LagosismyHome will say write your GRE get a good score and reapply again
also please endeavour to consider other schools

IQ tests aren't an accurate measure of intelligence. There was this boy on Beyond Scared Straight that had a high IQ so he thought he was some kind of genius. He was a dumbass. IQ tests just measure your ability to recognise patterns and solve puzzles. If he can't apply it to solve any problems then its useless. Chuka, the Igbo boy that figures out how to out a generator together from scraps lying about is far more intelligent than any 'genius with a high IQ'.

1) not even about going to canada but furthering your education is a huge step for you. you live comfortably don't you know with a higher degree you can live better especially now you thinking about settling down and having a family.

2)studying in canada or any developed foreign country is great you'll be exposed to more than what you can imagine you'll see the world in a different view

3) Canada happens to be a great place for international students most especially for those who wanna stay back and work after graduation they've made it very easy compared to their neighbors the US. so about getting a job after that its not a problem if you decide to stay there.. if you wish to return home to work its a plus for you cause you have an advanced foreign degree that our employers admire and also have work experience... can't you even get a study leave from your workplace without salary

3)as for your gf she should understand that you're going for what is best for you and her so convince her besides you won't be the first couple to leave each other for education and comeback you can also Marry her b4 you leave if you wish

4) make sure you've gotten your admission and visa before leaving your job if the management is not the kind that is understanding

5) in summary leaving your job to studies is not a bad idea.. make your decision together with your gf make her feel very important in making decisions about your life she'll trust that you really know what you're doing and will allow you go which girl no like better thing I'm sure she has been waiting to tell you this but she been no get opportunity but now she has tongue

6) i leave am between you and your parent good luck!

Somebody once posted here that Indians like working in group in the classroom and u know working together is friendship so that is why I asked is it possible to work in group with American citizen or do they feel superior?
the thing is people of the same background tend to click together so do the Koreans or Chinese do they like staying put within themselves especially when there is a good amount of them in the School.. I'm sure if you had a group of Nigerians in one school they'll likely form a group to and assist themselves unless other wise because our head dey touch sometimes lol. now when you're in a class there will likely be projects for and you'll have to form a team which will comprise of different kinds of people so in other to achieve you all have to play together to achieve a common goal so irrespective of your background you all have to work together. now maybe some few will have their indifference with you they'll rarely bring it to your face.. it's all about making friends though not everybody will be your friend but that is not because they feel superior or anything but its just life ( in summary not everyone in your group must be your friend its all about working together to achieve a goal. who knows you may get some friends from the group )hope i get your message lol i feel like I've derailed

Religion / Re: What Happens After Death? by Teedawg: 11:57am On Jul 02, 2017
This is what i have to say to all regardless of your believes or unbelieves we are still here talking about what happens after death everybody bring his or her own opinion based on what they believe there are lot of unresolved questions in this world only those who have died know what happens but wait what if there is no consciousness in them to even know the state they are haha. how do we know lol somethings are better left unexplained thats why God told Adam and eve not to eat of the fruit because they won't be able to handle what comes after and that is why we go through this stage of uncertainty maybe if he had taken more bites from the fruit the thing for Balance but the dose is not complete grin haha. that is why i even laugh when some people say there is No God how the heck will you know just because a human being sat anf thought of it and it made sense to him doesnt mean he is right it doesn't also mean its wrong but you can not be sure that is why i always say God or no God i appreciate the fact that there are holy books to guide you that's one of the important of them to help you restrain all this curiosity that can make you go mad even if there is no God I'll still appreciate those who made it and it actually defines what i see in my society today so that's a point for me. if truly God doesn't exist then how will a group of individuals who i will consider not so intelligent at that time as the science say got to create things that matches at different time intervals haha The only thing that can question the bible authenticity is when its proved that aliens exist Note i said Bible not God
me ma get question will rapture actually happen also are we actually going to heaven abi God will make the earth a new earth (Jerusalem ) in which we will dwell in with him(go and read revelations to understand ) tongue

All praises to God Almighty for a successful visa Approval after I was denied visa two months ago( April 12 to be precise wasn't a nice day for me) and that was how I found this thread.i got advice from the gurus to refire and apply for a bachelor's degree rather than the associate degree I got denied for but I believe in God intervention and still went with the a community college I20...fast forward this morning the rain was much Chaii rain way sock me today no be here ooo plus the bus I entered stop at oniru if you are familiar with vi and I had to walk from there to bonny camp before I could get keke( I wish you could see me that morning you go pity for me) after my biometric verification I was on the line watin to be interview and I was fortunate to listen to profojah Interview Chaii the guy was so audible and the way he was gesticulating and explain his program as well I was like which kind wahala course be this bayi pale kini grin grin ....that's how I was directed to window three fresh looking young guy always with white earpiece.......

Vo: Good morning
Me: morning sir with a smile
Vo: what's yours study plan?
Me: I will be taking 64 credit of course work at a period of 24 month which some of the courses I will be taking include engineering graphics, dynamic, calculus and the likes prior to my graduation which I will be transferring to obtain a bachelor's degree ( vo look impressed with my response after denying the first two guys after bleeping with their response)
Vo: Why associate degree and not bachelor's degree
Me: I'm going for an associate degree because the only place I can get so much in depth knowledge on my field of study in my first two years at an affordable rate before transferring to a 4 years university happens to be a community college, so it's not really all about the associate degree but it's about what I can aquire and gain during the period before transferring
Vo: Why did you choose this school
Me: I choose baltimore city community college because I was impressed with the standard of the program I Was applying for after some extensive review I found out that they offer more hands on approach of the courses I will be taking compare to some traditional four years university in their first two years which was very impressive and was what I was looking for.
Vo: what are your plans after graduation?
Me: I intend transferring my 64 credit to Morgan state university to obtain a bachelor's degree in civil engineering after which I will be returning to practice in one of the top construction companies here in Nigeria
Vo: when did you finish secondary school
Me:2012
Vo:what have you been doing since then
Me:after sec school I enrolled to a technical school to learn about satellite TV and cctv installation and afterwards I applied for an Advance level program which I finished in 2016
Vo:which other schools did you apply to
Me: Morgan state university and Wester Nebraska community college
Vo: so you intend going for an associate degree then you will transfer?
Me yes sir
Vo: I will be approving your visa pick it up in the.....
Me: I went deaf and almost jump up..

I want to say a very big thanks you to everyone on the is thread you are all amazing and special thank you to @Teedawg and @neurosic for a one month intensive mock interview I don't know you in person to thank you enough but God Almighty will surely reward you and I hope to meet you guys someday..... That's how I got my visa approved for a community college
