Nairaland GeneralRe: Man Rides Bicycle From Kaduna To Lagos To Thank Yorubas For Voting Buhari-osinba by teemanbastos(m): 8:10am On Apr 28, 2015
Crown01:
A 35-year-old Kaduna-born cyclist and supporter of the president-elect Gen Buhari and Professor Osinbajo, Mohammed Kabiru Jafaru, has embarked on a bicycle ride from Kaduna to Lagos to meet with the vice president-elect, Professor Yemi Osinbajo in Lagos State as a way to show his appreciation to the Yorubas for voting en-mass for the Buhari-Osinbajo ticket during last election.
Mohammed started his journey to Lagos at exactly 6: 35am at the palace of Sarkin Hayin Malam Bello, Alhaji Kabiru Isa Gangarida yesterday April 27th.
“I have decided to embark on this journey to Lagos because I want to go and thank Yoruba people for their immense support and contributions that led to the victory of General Muhammadu Buhari during the March 28 presidential election. The decision to undertake the journey came to my mind after analysing the votes cast for Buhari by the Yoruba people and after I discussed my intention with my immediate family and friends, they encouraged me to go on the journey.”he told journalist

PoliticsEkiti APC Lawmakers Ask Court To Jail Fayose by teemanbastos(op): 7:10pm On Apr 25, 2015
The 19 All Progressives Congress lawmakers
in Ekiti State House of Assembly have urged
a Federal High Court, Abuja, to establish a
contempt charge against Governor Ayodele
Fayose for allegedly manipulating its ruling.
They warned that impunity and manipulation
of facts of his impeachment case in the
media won’t save him.

The lawmakers were reacting to media reports
on the ruling of the Federal High Court in
Abuja which refused Fayose and seven
Peoples Democratic Party lawmakers’ request
which sought to bar APC lawmakers from
continuing impeachment process against the
governor.

Special Adviser to the Speaker Adewale
Omirin, Wole Olujobi, said in a statement on
Saturday that the APC lawmakers were
surprised that the governor and his men
could deliberately misrepresent the fact of
the ruling to mislead the public.

“It is incredible that the governor and the
PDP lawmakers could manipulate the press
again to mislead the public that the ruling by
Justice Evoh Chukwu was in their favour.
“While the judge clearly ruled that it could
not stop Fayose’s impeachment without
hearing from the APC lawmakers, the
governor went to town, in a contempt of court
to turn full circle the ruling by the judge,” the
statement explained.

The statement added, “He first raided the
courts and chased the judges under their
tables and subsequently closed the courts.
After that, he closed the House of Assembly
and chased the lawmakers out of town.
“Then it is the turn of the Fourth Estate of
the Realm, the media, in a mindless fraud
and manipulation of the press to have an
upper hand in the face of flagrant trampling
on the Constitution of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria,” the statement explained.

“Fayose is now creating for himself a
reputation as an enemy of the state who
within few months killed all democratic
institutions and their supporting structures in
Nigeria in a mindless pursuit of power.”
The statement urged the court to establish a
contempt charge against the governor and
his men for this “thoughtless manipulation
and misrepresentation of the ruling to put the
court in bad light.”

It said the latest was one in the series of
misdemeanors by the governor over which his
supporters had said nothing while always
trying to find fault with APC lawmakers.
Fayose, who reacted through his Chief Press
Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, said he would
not dignify the APC with a response.
He said, “We are not interested in joining
issues with them on pages of newspapers on
the court ruling since we know and everybody
knows the type of character the APC
lawmakers are.
“A dog that will perish will not listen to the
whistle of the hunter.”

Christianity EtcRe: 5 Types Of Nigerian Pastors by teemanbastos(m): 7:34pm On Apr 22, 2015
khalebzy:
Here are the types of Pastors you can find in Nigeria
Hope you enjoy..
THE HOLIER THAN THOU
A.k.a the perfectionist, these set of pastors acts and talk like they have never committed sin. They are always perfect in their own sight, they never seem to take to corrections and are most likely to be proud.Members of their churches tend to over-hype religious activities and this makes them a very lowlebel of social life.In many cases members are HusbandLess, wifeLess and looking tattered all in the name of serving God.These pastors keeps me wonndering if they ever had sex to give birth to their children.
THE SOJI/JASI PASTORS
Aka *Ride on Pastor* are the type that focus more on their physical appearance, they wear the latest shoes, wrist watches, hair cut etc. These set of pastors mostly attracts to their church we youths of this age because of the youthful frivolities they execute. They intimidate you with their speech eg. "When i was in America, When i was with Bill gates".These pastors are known to be stingy and only give out in order to put their names in the mouth of people. They leave you wondering in the question "are these christ like?"
THE PROPHECY PASTORS
They are called the prophecy pastors or prophets because they are fond of prophecying and conducting diliverance programs.Their churches are mostly filled up by people with afflictions. They can as well make you happy or sad with their prophecies and are referred to as soothsayers by the atheist and non-belivers.Most of them do this in order to gain popularity while some others according to Gods instruction.
THE PREACHERS
Are the ones that are gifted in preaching only, and their churches are filled with big men and women and people with less problem.Lets just say these are pastors meant for the comfortable ones in the society,if you take a Barren or blind person to their church, his/her condition would still be permanent. These set of pastor can use about 90% of church service hour to preach preach and preach.
THE HYPOCRITE PASTORS
These set of pastors cannot be but found in our society today, they carmourflage using Gods name and worship other demi-gods in their bedroom. These pastors are the ones that connotes the bible passage that says "In the End Time, False prophets shall arise..."They commit most of the dreaded attrocities in the church today eg. Fornication,Ritual,Adultery.I wonder if they ever knew that there is a special judgement for them in heaven.
At this point
