Good evening Gurus in the house. Please we need your advise here.
I am currently on Tier 4 visa while my husband and children are on dependent visas. After settling down and starting work,my husband got a US Visa to proceed with his doctorate degree programme in the US(an old application). He is now in the US doing the programme.
For now,we are yet to decide on which way to go in terms of settling down after my 1 yr programme. So we are trying to abide by all the rules in case I need to switch to Tier2 in UK.

We hear he must not spend 180days outside UK.
If anyone knows much about this, pls help throw more light as he does not want to default on his current dependent Visa.

Your guidance will be appreciated.

Thanks always .

Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Coventry are all close to Northampton. As per fair cost of living, that’s very relative. The influx of students have increased the cost of rent in most of these areas including Northampton. You can also explore the option of working remote as a customer service rep.
For physical booking, you can go with your own passport and book for family. However,on the actual appointment day,all passports will be required.

Seeing is believing. Don't pay for accommodation till you view it. You can book AirBnB or hotel via booking.com though and you go check accommodation when you get here.

Duchess/justwise/mimilyrics and other gurus,

Pls is it possible to rent and pay for UK accommodation while still in Nigeria? Or how can a family go about sorting accommodation so as not to be stranded on arrival into UK. I am just thinking ahead...i intend going with my family.

Please enlighten me on the best approaches.

You can visit their office and they will give you a date for the whole family.Your own passport is sufficient. However,if it's online, you need passport details of all applicants.

I will you advise you secure first the June 21st date you are seeing online. We were at IOM Lagos yesterday to possibly get a closer date and the earliest given was June 27th.
All appeal and efforts proved abortive. You may still wish to visit and try.

All the best.

You have to find a way to get to their office, travel down if necessary. I was at their office a few days ago, the earliest dates they were giving is around that period. The day I did my test, we were close to 700 on the UK list booked for that day (I saw the list). That’s s high volume, so try going there in person.
My advise to anyone intending to apply for Visa against September admission is to book for TB test now.The available dates are very far and sending emails or going to their office to get a closer date is no longer working. They insist there are no earlier dates(Lagos office). The earliest as at yesterday was June 27th.

It is painful that one is ready to apply for Visa but cannot because of TB test.

Pls book now!

Note:If anyone has a suggestion on how to solve this problem, pls drop it here.Thanks.

ZiggyMr:
Is there anything I can do to get a more closer date for TB test? The date i got online is 21st June which I think its too far.

yes start processing a new passport and when it’s ready send it via we form to ircc, if not once you get ppr, it’s the passport you submitted with your application that’ll be stamped and then you’ll have to do a new passport when you travel so to save time and money just do it now

Thanks a lot
