PoliticsLet's Do Our Own Pre-election Survey by TeeSeven(op): 7:46pm On Jan 05, 2015
Hi everyone, with the general elections just a few weeks away, I watched with interest, how fellow Nairalanders have not only taken sides but also 'fight' strongly to defend their choices. It's also interesting to see how they amass 'likes' from people who share their views.
From the look of things, it seems our choices have now been 'narrowed' to two main contenders, namely: Goodluck/Sambo and Bihari/Osibanjo tickets.
I then thought it'll not be a bad idea to use this system in conducting a somewhat 'crude' survey. This is just to satisfy my curiosity. I'm aware that this does not translate to 'actual' votes, but at least, it'll help give a rough idea of the candidates' popularity, here on Nairaland.
No insults or name-calling please. Simply vote. Thanks.
PoliticsRe: Terrorism: Kenyans Urge Leader To Save Their Country From Becoming Like Nigeria by TeeSeven(m): 10:34am On Dec 04, 2014
Thanks (or is it 'No Thanks) to the GEJ mal-administration. Nigeria has now become a bad example of what a nation is not supposed to be!
Foreign AffairsRe: Soldiers Didn't Burn BRT Buses In Lagos - Nigerian Army by TeeSeven(m): 4:29am On Jul 05, 2014
Immorality, irresposibility, immunity and impunity at the peak on display by the soldiers!
Reminds me of the 'Unknown Soldiers' saga of the 70s that invaded, attacked, vandalised, brutalised and carried out murders at Fela's shrine.
Foreign AffairsRe: China Bans Muslim Officials From Observing Ramadan by TeeSeven(m): 6:20am On Jul 03, 2014
How do you 'ban' someone from fasting? Do you monitor how/when and if they put food in their mouths?
EducationRe: UNILAG Dissociates Self From Unscientific Publication by TeeSeven(m): 5:02pm On Sep 21, 2013
@Shortgun: Your 'writeup, which is in itself a 'misfiring', ' simply shows that you need some education!
Please try and read again.
shortgun: So what are they saying undecided

This write-up is supposedly coming from professors, doctors, phd holders e.t.c, yet one cannot make sense of the article.

I've always said, the problems of Education in Nigeria is with the Lecturers and managers of our Universities.

How come the road side mechanics, bricklayers, carpenters are able to train their apprentices to become experts and in turn train others, yet our lecturers with their doctorate degrees n ph.ds cannot produce a graduate who can create job for himself not to talk of creating employment for others.
Science/TechnologyRe: The Olinguito - A New Carnivorous Mammalian Specie Discovered by TeeSeven(m): 4:50pm On Aug 16, 2013
Is it not interesting that new species are still being discovered? The question now is, who knows how many more new species are still yet to be discovered.
This just goes to show that God is still greater than man!

EducationRe: Kwara Poly Student Protest Over Killing Of Colleague by TeeSeven(m): 5:20pm On May 28, 2013
@touch_me_hard: I'm going to excuse your innocence and apparent ignorance because it is obvious you have never been 'touched_hard' by the activities of these animals called our POLICEMEN.
Nigeria is a country that is governed by the animalistic ideology of MIGHT IS RIGHT. Now, a word on the Ombatse issue. I'm sure you're not naïve enough to believe that the police were on a mission 'friendly' handshaking mission. You probably would never have heard of the result of their mission had they gained the upper hand.
By the way, a similar incidence of the Ombatse onslaught, taking place monthly cannot equate the number of innocent lives the Police waste in extra-judiciary summarily executions!
Don't blame people when they resort to/incite violence. What other option do they have in obtaining JUSTICE?!

touch_me_hard: In as much as I condemn what the policeman did, I can't help but wonder why some people are here on Nairaland calling on Ombatse people to help the Kwara Poly students to retaliate on the Police.
Are you people this heartless?
Just few weeks after the Ombatse incident which left over a hundred families mourning, some people are here calling for more killings of Police officers.
Can't you guys see that the wounds are still fresh in the hearts of those affected?
Have you guys asked what led to the incident between the student and the police? Has anyone tried to find out what the student did first?
It's not as if I'm in support of the Policeman that shot at the student, but for someone to call on ombatse cultists to attack the Police is very much uncalled for. Afterall, the Police did not revenge on ombatse for killing their officers. Pls we should learn to stop fueling violence in the country.

#.. The facts about fulani Behaviour; they never antagonise a people, but when you antagonise them or their herd in any way or form, believe me hell hath no fury like a fulani man seeking revenge.

They r a live n let live kind of people. And they certainly do not engage in highway robbery. The state govt should look inward for the real culprits for that, and stop 'suspecting' fulani all the time.
At the bolded: I think you know very little about the Fulanis.
Car TalkRe: Learner's Sign On A Public Transport Service by TeeSeven(m): 6:29pm On May 12, 2013
@Poster: it is not a crime to be a learner (on private and commercial vehicles) on public roads. There's no surprise to it. I have seen a similar sign on London Transport busses.

As much as I cannot contest the poster's suggestion, I must say that these pictures have not done justice to the poster's claim. It'll be only be fair to compare pictures taken in similar lighting conditions and treatments.

RomanceRe: A Single Lady's Advice To Single Ladies by TeeSeven(m): 1:00pm On Mar 30, 2013
Good job @op. Sadly though, women are simply not 'wired' to reason out things logically like you just laid it out. My heart really goes after ladies that have to make this 'life changing' decision of choosing a life-partner and yet have their reasoning beclouded with the inadequacies of feminine logicism. I wish them God's guidance.
And for you @op, I wish you the very best is finding YOUR man.

Well, we will correct our own MISTAKE in 2015. Mr Clueless, you're such a MISTAKE and a joke!

EducationRe: The Problem With HND Certificate – By Femi Olabisi by TeeSeven(m): 7:00pm On Feb 21, 2013
Quite interesting writeup. But, I must say that the write is leaving behind(or is unaware) of the aim of these different institutions. I believe the confusion is infact general. In actual sense, we need them all. They all are meant to play different ROLES in our education.
We all can't/needn't be graduates.
