fantasyisland,
I read your two previous works on okadabooks and I was so blown away.
this piece as well is epic. forgive my not commenting since because I lack words to describe how well crafted this novel is.
one way or the other, people can relate to the stories of the main characters in question.
I feel really bad for okiemute, but it is her cross. I said so because she went into everything with her eyes wide open. the only person who could have helped her was who she turned her back on when she was supposedly living large. as someone aptly put it, be kind to those you meet on your way up, they re the ones you would meet when you are down.
kudos. I don't mind waiting long for updates because I know the wait would be worth it.
well done. 1 Like |

WARRIBLOOD: Bro nor vex.. am new to tramadol like how many pills am I suppose to take.... And with What should I take it wit.
MAN MUST FFUCK TOTO TODAY I am no medical practitioner nor a pharmacist, but tramadol is a very dangerous drug to use as a substitute for viagra. it think it tends to relax the muscles and tends to slow down the rate of heart beat. it kills way fast if wrongly used. to the topic, the more reason why I hate taking paracetamol. that drug is as dangerous as I recall relatives that passed as a result of the wrong usage of the drug. I would rather let my head pound than take paracetamol. |

Family › Re: His Mother Said His Fiancee Is Not Beautiful And Classy by Teespice(f): 7:58pm On Feb 08, 2016 |
this thread reminds me of a nollywood movie I watched when I was in jss 3.
world's apart.
I recall liz Benson telling her son not to marry ini edo because of her perceived low class.
the man knowing how much he loved her, "tushed" her up and made her into the classy woman his mum eventually fell in love with.
and in that movie when her true identity was unraveled, he said that if you love someone and cannot be with her because of class, spend money on her and make her the woman you want her to be.
in summary,
if she's not your class going by what your mum has said, make her the classy woman you want her to be.
if not, let her go for someone your mum would approve, by the way, it is you who will live with the woman not your mum.
so be guided when taking the step as per your fiancee |

Politics › Re: This CJN Statement Weeks Ago Was A Pointer To The Supreme Court Judgements by Teespice(f): 9:11am On Feb 04, 2016 |
LordVarys: As per the Yar'Adua case, the Court's ruling was based on upholding the national interest, not legal facts and the judges were under a lot of pressure. But as for these judgements on the 3 states, while I concur that the elections in the states were substantially flawed, the petitioners Dakuku,Otti, and Umana failed to prove their cases beyond card reader usage which the Lagos Appeals Court already ruled is unknown to the constitution. The amended 2014 electoral act makes it almost impossible to prove beyond reasonable doubt as you must have valid witnesses and evidence from every contested PU. The Supreme Court looked only at the facts and not the ethics. I liked the judgements because they've at least prevented Nigeria from sliding into a one party state. If we want genuine electoral reform, the National Assembly has to be key especially reviewing the electoral act. Sadly NASS is full of clowns. same thing I have echoed in previous posts. the courts especially the supreme courts give their judgments based on facts adduced at the tribunals and the Court of appeal. they don't have time to start the whole trial ish. the trio of Peter side, Otti and Umana had valid cases but the facts were erroneously presented by their lawyers. it is said that a good lawyer is not one that can quote the law but one who knows how to apply the law in any given circumstance. |
Politics › Re: Supreme Court Upholds Udom And Ikpeazu's Elections by Teespice(f): 7:29am On Feb 04, 2016 |
ceeethru: One cannot come to court to argue two cases, that there was no election while at the same time claiming highest votes cast. Neither also, that card reader should be the basics for a vote caster while the card reader was not in the electoral act. That a candidate did not pass through primary in his or her respective party while the arguer comes from another party. These are errors the APCs could not think out clearly before going to court and bribing their ways through tribunal to appeal court. Now, the supreme Court have cleared their confusion from time immemorial, setting a clear judgement. APC should learn how to prepare themselves before election and as well present electable candidates. exactly. as per your first paragraph, you couldn't have said it any better. a petitioner cannot come to court and ask that he be declared winner of an election and at the same time ask that the election be null and void based on irregularities. I feel the respondents had a good case, however their lawyers messed things up. the court gives judgments based on evidence adduced at the trial. that is why sometimes I laugh when people tend to go overly analytical on issues they know zilch about. if the courts give judgments and award costs based on sentiments, morality or public opinion, then I wonder what would be in store for the judiciary. the key to winning any case at all is having a good lawyer who knows his onions. it is not by hiring all the SANS in the country. |

you lot screaming APC and PDP...... una try.
you seem to forget that for the supreme Court to uphold the elections of ikpeazu and emmanuel was based on the evidences adduced by both parties right from the tribunal which I feel may not have been fully substantiated by the respondents which in this instance is APC.
anyway, the verdict is final. jubilation toh sure.

every body wants to create threads these days.
op,
for a man to think of venturing into money making rituals, it has to be planned. a woman does not have to nag and complain about her lifestyle before he says money rituals is the way out.
its like saying that he's weak and can succumb to any kind of pressure from her.
his judgment should be questioned if he ends up with women you described in your write up.

seunmsg: Aluko raised some vital points in his outburst and Fayose in his characteristic manner has refused to address this salient points. Instead, he's busy chasing shadows and attacking APC.
Nigerians want to know if he truly collected N4.7billion from GEJ before the election. We also want to know if a joint strike force team was used to arrest and detain opposition leaders few days to the election. These are the kind of issues we want him to address and not this diversionary tactics of blaming APC and discrediting Aluko. my sentiments exactly. but no, everything that happened and said must be blamed on political parties. |

I understand you're serving in Kano. Hope you're enjoying the city and I hope there are opportunities to gain experience practice wise, if you're interested in practice that is yeah I am. the city is quite cold but very good all the same time. all the bad impressions I always had about the north is a thing of the past. as per practice, I know I would learn a lot and it would help in the future. |
