folake4u: Thanks for tagging me Sir.
1. Do you struggle with your emotions or you are a hard person? Answering this question isn't really that simple because it depends on what I'm dealing with. I'm a hard person who hardly show emotions but can empathize with others. I think I become a bit softer during my ovulation/period days, after that, Factory reset!
Crying and whining really doesn't solve anything.
2. Describe your perfect day.
a). A perfect day for me will be having my body moisturized, having a book to read, soft pop music in the background, dark room and sipping any of my favourite drink.
b). Going out with friends and laughing to my heart's content.
c). When the outfit planning I have in my head actually becomes a reality and the outfit suits me nicely.
I tag XXII , Teespice , ahnie For the first question, i struggle with my emotions sometimes. My head is saying one thing and my heart is saying another. I am not a hard person per se. I know how to cry, go through the motions, feel what I am feeling. Once that phase passes, I keep it moving. For the second question, my day is made when I achieve all if not 90% of what I set out to do that day. Could be office work, personal errands, that phone call I have been postponing. Reading that book, watching old nollywood movies on youtube and watching crime stories on investigation discovery makes my day bliss. I tag cococandy, dollyjoy |

folake4u: People even pay money on how to stay elegant. 😂😂😂😂
Bottom line of what everyone has said so far is being true to oneself and it totally makes sense that we all agree on that.
Thank you so much for your response, Nia. They call it finishing school. Zeelicious foods even does a segment called Winnie's school of elegance. To the topic at hand, I believe in staying true to myself. Damsel in distress or not, I am not afraid to ask for help when I need to. The highest I would get is a no and I would never be resentful of who tells me No because they have their reasons for declining to help. That said, it gets tiring when you are being referred to as "strong". I don't want to be strong biko. I can't be strong at the work place and then still come to my happy place and be acting " strong". There are days I want to vulnerable but when you think of the fact that there are people who would want to take advantage, you will be left with no choice but to keep pretending which isn't good because for how long will one continue to pretend. Las las, do you...everyone will adjust accordingly. |

You said you are scared to get married abi?
Please don't bother getting married...that way, you won't go before your appointed time simply because you are worrying over the actions of one girl whereas you have the ones for chop and clean mouth.
They are your options according to what I have seen so far.
Cheers. |

Magnoliaa: Folake4u, I think we should gist tomorrow about that Twitter thread you made a commentary on.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have been reading the beautiful stories and all of a sudden it struck me!
Where are the gender wars? The "fear women" and gender that betrayed Jesus, lmao??
Are these people still the same people 'fighting' online?
There was not a single trace of all the usual negativity and such that usually permeates men/women discussions online.
Bruh, men and women are still linking up, doing shit and getting together FOREVER.
Wahala for who dey listen to online relationship gurus o. 😂😂
We really really are unavoidable and cannot do without each other 🥲.
I mean, sure shit happens, and all of those people likely have one or two unpleasant love experiences if they were to share, but babes, I loveeee that the beautiful, pure, wholesome happy endings are being shared ❤❤💚.
I feel it is necessary, atp. That Twitter thread made me blush like a lovestruck puppy. See beautiful stories nau. As for those who give relationship advice/nuggets, take what you can apply to your situation and discard the rest. You are the one wearing the shoes and knows where it is pinching you. Lastly, Nairaland is not the place to get unbiased advice when it comes to relationships. |

Akposy: Cinnamon rolls #oldie
To my Igbo brethren here, I am really really sorry for how Nigeria and some of her inhabitants are treating you guys.
It is so sad seeing /hearing how some bigots have being oppressing and maltreating you guyz just because of their insecurities. I am very sure you guyz will overcome and breakthrough all of these nonsense happening Stay strong, stand tall and resist every form of intimidation. One love ❤️ Thank you Akposy. I truly appreciate what you have said. |

sisisioge: Good riddance... just like the good ones with one bad side before him, farewell jare. Do you remember one popular guy in the auto section that had a wife and kids he maltreated in UK? He was a smart dude until his evil side was uncover. It's like using a small fart to ruin a big yansh. I remember that thread well. |

God bless the moderator for the title of this thread. That was the reason I opened it in the first place.
Anybody paying attention to what these alpha mails post online is doing a great disservice to himself. It is only on Nairaland that women are vilified daily, yet every weekend, there is traffic because of weddings. Let us not talk of over 500 weddings that Ikoyi Registry conducts daily.
If una like, no get sense this year. Continue following the teachings of someone who isn't practising what he preaches. |
