Newborn27: Thanks so much for all the bashing....I never regret any way for posting my personal story on NL....the people trying to blame me for not going back home....I don't blame.....*he that wore the shoes knows where it hurts* I should go back home to be a liability on my parent's with two kids or start begging and prostituting to cater for them as there is no ready made job for my arrival.
My accepting my Boss's plea was not because I wasn't thinking in my right frame of mind, but this is my Boss, the man who still pay my salary and accomodated my kids and I for 12days... saying NO will make me look like an ingrate and give me a bad record at work for being adamant...I wanted Folykaze to prove to my Boss how beastly he can be under his sheepy clothed look....if many of you reading this sees Folykaze one on one, you'd never be on my side and will even scold me on his behalf cos of his *GENTLE* and calm looks. Who bashed you? You call constructive advice coming from a place of tough love bashing. No disrespect to all those who are typing epistles... This OP doesn't value all what you have been saying so far...it is only best to wish her well. |

BENEAMATA: As in , what are guys feeling like these days ? You sleep with various ladies , anytime you feel like and still feel entitled to having one " decent " lady to settle down with one day .The OP should worry about why he hasn't found a decent one among his many girls . General advice : a drum filled with water shouldn't complain about horses and donkeys flocking around it . You will live long The OP and his fellow pit toilets are just showing themselves for who they really are. Bunch of dirty pigs who find pleasure in sleeping with anything that as much as breathes. Their fate will soon be like that of the fellow taking 4300 injections because of sexually transmitted infections. Rada Rada |

I'm in my year 4 and wish to pick a skill in tech(Programming). I have started. But my concern is with the way things are now will you advise me to continue or I should face my degree squarely. You can combine the two together ie Law and Programming. With the current economic realities, it is best to have two or multiple streams of income. Do the programming course at your spare time say weekends. |

Family › Re: Confused! by Teespice(f): 11:44am On Jul 16, 2021 |
Klass99: Seven blessings to you.
You're so on point with this post. The first time I met my new neighbours, Sandra asked me if I was married and I said no.
She responded to my answer saying "I will be praying for you to get married and if you will join your faith with mine, you'll see that in no time at all it will happen. You'll get married and have your kids."
In my own mind I was like, why do people do this? Why do they meet someone for the first time and without knowing enough about that person, they begin to prophesy things that you may not even want, things that do not excite you or things that are the least of your concerns?
I guess they assume every woman's problem is marriage and children. Meanwhile, at that time I was in a job where salaries were no longer being paid reliably, my financial security/stability were at risk I needed to find new work and get out asap. But, madam thought the absence of a husband/children was worrying me and they would be the answer to my prayers, whereas I had an entirely different prayer for myself .
Anyway fast forward to 2 weeks later (exactly 2 weeks after they moved in) I heard screaming and shouting from their crib one night around 11pm. Husband and wife were in a war of words and I heard Sandra say "If you ever slap me again, my people will track you to this new house and deal with you, I have given them the address to this place. Try it again and you will see what happens to you." Richard (the husband) was on one side shouting "Useless woman I helped you by marrying you, you're very stupid yada yada yada. Then I heard doors slamming, a car starting up and driving off.
I laid on my bed thinking to myself, see wetin person been dey pray for me, sey make I enter! Indeed, misery loves company and it seems like the women chopping shege in their marriages are the ones who often meddle, pry and encourage others to get married. Women who are happy in their marriages hardly ever do the sort of thing Sandra did. In fact, they don't push or question others about their marital status, their marital bliss is so evident you see it for yourself and want to have it as well.
For the two years we resided in the same compound that couple regularly fought like that till they moved out. Endurance and submission will not change a man like Richard and I told Sandra one day that if I was married to your husband we would have been divorced by now, because of the way he talks to her alone. The verbal assault no be here o!
I think the fear of what her people will do to him, if he ever hits her again forced him to stop the physical assault. But, it looked liked he took all that physical strength, pressed it down, shook it well and ran it over, into his mouth and words. Such that his words were like Tyson delivering two upper cuts, a jab, then a knock out blow to an opponent. Cc sleekyshuga. What is it we always talk about Your last three paragraphs....nothing but facts!!!! I do not have anything else to say. |
Family › Re: Nigerian Men Have Failed Their Women by Teespice(f): 7:58pm On Jul 12, 2021 |
cococandy: In our society, Women who fight are vilified.I blame those who take a back seat but at the same time, I don’t blame them. They choose to be non-confrontational. To fit in. To avoid being labeled as feminists and what have you. Honestly It’s easier. they don’t have to deal with the venom that inevitably comes your way when you’re woman who is known to question the status quo. Nobody really likes stress sha
Our society places premium on female docility. That’s what makes a good woman to us. Sometimes other women will drag you down because you’re too vocal. Too opinionated. Too much in general. It will be hard for us to collectively as you said push for our rights when amongst us we have those who value male validation over the best future for the coming girls and women. Per your second sentence in the second paragraph, you are absolutely spot on. I experienced this few weeks ago and since then, each time I see a woman who vilifies other women in order to prove a point albeit baseless, I know instantly that she has deep rooted issues. |

I was going to Epe last week Tuesday and on Eko bridge, the bus broke down. As the driver was trying to fix the problem as well as give money to those who were not patient enough, two scruffy looking boys came out from nowhere and began to speak in Yoruba.
The fear, the apprehension on my face was so obvious that myself and another female passenger had to beg for lift, if anything to get out of that place ASAP for fear of being robbed even in broad daylight. Normally, for safety reasons, I do not get into cars but this one was borne out of necessity.
Thank God I got to CMS in one piece. To that lady who gave us that lift, thank you so much. |

Anybody that has tried Singapore noodles before should share the recipe biko Make this the way you would make stir fry. Use hot water for the noodles and leave for at least five minutes. Let it not stay in water for long to avoid being soft/soggy. |
