Seun and his team knows how many NLers think and that's why they keep on posting stupid questions like this on front page every month in order to generate traffic and make cash. The Don J and DBanj are busy counting their blessings everyday while many here are wasting their time arguing blindly over stupid things that they could not verify, throwing tribal bricks and developing high blood pressure at young age. Use your time wisely. NL is fast losing it In my own opinion, Seun has gained more than d 2 guys |
You see, Fashola was a member of a committe that produced a draft constitution that encoded a kind of North-South tenure shift for NGF. The same Fashola has gone to court to challenge the emmergence of a Northern candidate against his own proposal. Fashola was the head of NGF committee that produced the report that urged FG to remove fuel subsidy. Fashola started speaking 'turenshi' when the subsidy was eventually removed. Fashola was a member of NGF committee that approved good government tour of States in collaboration with Ministry of Information. The same Fashola does what he knows best when the GGF started and he noticed that the rightful owners of projects will presnt them to the elecorate. Being an administrator is one thing. Having character is another. Fashola does not have character. Not even one bit.
What is the function of the so called Nigerian Gov Forum, Is it a recognised forum by the constitution or just the Nigerian mentality of socialising and looking for relevance. I think you have a comprehension problem. Please take time to read very well before rushing to pass judgement. What Yuguda says about rotation is an issue of a gentleman's agreement which is not in the constitution. Why now blame Fashola for doing what is not in the constitution. |
Olodos full here ohh. The court struck out the suit based on technical and legal Jurisdiction. The lawyers for Oni will just re-file the case in the appropriate court of jurisdiction
Our learned fellow, can u tell us the next court or tribunal to take the case to. Can't u make your comment without insulting others. |
patriot4: No you are wrong.I have been following your line of thought since the beginning of this thread and my conclusion is that you are just out to make senseless noise and chest beating. Most of your aspersion here are just on hearsay and readiness to argue blindly. I now understand that your failed business venture in SA is responsible for bitterness and failure to see reason, rabid attack on those who have contrary view to you. |
Afam4eva: I remember how dirty and unkempt that bridge was a few years back. I'll have to commend the governor on this. There was no bridge at the Mokola Roundabout few years ago. The construction started about a year ago. May be you are talking about another bridge. |
Fairgodwin: He's not Nigerian; he's Austrian. Get over it!David Olatokunbo Alaba is telling the whole world today that he may be an Austrian citizen by birth but he has the Naija blood flowing in him and he has not forgotten his heritage. I believe his old man is in the stadium and he wants to honour him. Let celebrate our own. He is been referred to has an Austrian now but if he commits an offence tomorrow they will remember that he has a Nigerian father and a Filipino mother. |
Decency75: the book written by Ola Rotimi ( The gods are not to blame) explained it all. You people should go and read the book.NO. Gods are not to be blamed is a greek mythology rewritten into African setting by Late Ola Rotimi. There is another book titled after the king. |
Nehemiah459: Hey dude, that's a lie cos my neighbour wrote three (3) papers that weren't her type got all of them above 50 but Mathematics which she wrote her type, she got below 50. Cygni: Na wa oh he's RICH but how come i've never heard bout him till now. Have names of all nigerian rich men at my fingertipsThen u must be a kid. Fernadez was then reputed to be the richest Nigerian in the 90's. |

Fani Kayode was worse than Abati when he held similar position during OBJ regime. He can't come here to talk like a saint. Has he forgotten that he was busy barking and biting everyone like a rabid dog back then. Birds of the same feather Serving in the government is a big banana peel for most respected people because they will compromise at the end and mess up their testimonies of previous good deeds. Woe unto the false prophets of doom , big mouth special advisers and defenders of evil deeds who are bottom lickers of their paymasters at the expense of the poor. Remember that the ALMIGHTY OGA at the top is watching all. |
dridowu: Truly Money is the ROOT of all EVIL.Point of correction sir. According to the bible ,It is the love of money that is the root of all evil. The holy book in Proverbs says money answers all things. Money is good but loving it more than God is the evil deed because u can't serve God and Mammon ( god of money) |
President Goodluck walks into a Bank to cash a check. As he approaches the cashier he says, "Good morning Ma'am, would you please cash this check for me?" Cashier: "It would be my pleasure sir. Could you please show me your ID?" Jonathan: "Truthfully, I did not bring my ID with me as I didn't think there was any need to. I am President Goodluck Jonathan, the President of Nigeria" Cashier: "Yes sir, I know who you are, but with all the regulations and monitoring of the banks because of impostors and forgers and requirements of the Dodd/ Frank legislation, etc., I must insist on seeing ID." Jonathan: "Just ask anyone here at the bank who I am and they will tell you. Everybody knows who I am." Cashier: "I am sorry Mr. President but these are the bank rules and I must follow them." Jonathan: "I am urging you, please, to cash this check." Cashier: "Look Mr. President, here is an example of what we can do. One day, Tiger Woods came into the bank without ID. To prove he was Tiger Woods he pulled out his putter and made a beautiful shot across the bank into a cup. With that shot we knew him to be Tiger Woods and cashed his check." "Another time, Andre Agassi came in without ID. He pulled out his tennis racquet and made a fabulous shot whereas the tennis ball landed in my cup. With that shot we cashed his check. So, Mr. President, what can you do to prove that it is you, and only you, as the President of Nigeria?" Jonathan : stands there thinking, and thinking, and finally says, "Honestly, my mind is a total blank... There is nothing that comes to my mind. I can't think of a single thing. I have absolutely no idea what to do; I just don't have a clue". Cashier: "Will that be large or small bills, Mr. President |
From the much i've gathered, there were no alternatives given to them nor relocation, neither were they given prior notice b4 the demolition which is my point. That is why the group SERAP(not sure i got the name right) is suing d govt on their behalf.i actually saw the group's press briefing on channels y'day.
It is a pity that the demolition have to happen. I don't want to believe that this people were never given notice. Sentiments apart: 1. Is there any legal documents for those structures 2. Is the place fit for leaving If you are occupying a place illegally, you should not expect government to provide alternative for you. However, government and private sector should endeavour to provide affordable accommodation for all. |
Any confirmation of this. Who is now the new governor. Are we going to have another election. Can we have full details |
henryboff: [b]I tire for this people. I believe in miracles because I have seen a lot of God's wonders with clear proofs. . I do not know of any pregnancy test of where you separate blood cells. . Precipitated labour do happen but not for 5mins in a primigravida (first timer). Mission house stories are always fake stories. Pregnancy after long delay is a termed precious pregnancy and attended to only by senior experts in order to avoid complications. |
coogar: the nigerian health system is a disgrace......@ before you start insulting Nigerian medics I want you to read the super story every well, word by word and read the 1st comment by Mayoowak. ( A very good one indeed for such a foolish story). It is an insult on our collective intelligence to just take in things without scientifically judging them. According to the woman, this so called pregnancy was never confirmed by any reputable hospital either with blood or urine pregnancy test or any scan. A funny quack attendant conducted a separation of White and red blood cells. In which laboratory? This is a test that cost a lot and done only in highly specialised facilities like teaching hospitals. With my knowledge of medical field in and out of Nigeria, am yet to see how she was confirmed pregnant by separation of blood cells when simple investigations did not confirm it. By what parameter. Do you know about medical ethics. Even a quack will not do elective caesarian section on a non pregnant uterus. So no naija doc will do a foolish thing like doing an operation on the woman. Every trained medic knows you have to bring out a baby before 42 weeks or it will die in the uterus. ?25 months that's over 200 weeks. Why not own up that you bought or adopted a baby. No crime in that. Why is it that this so called pregnancies are always delivered in mission houses by unnamed birth attendants. May be na winch belle !!! |
STENACO: I am studying in SA. Those that are having difficulties in getting momentum insurance. We have compcare insurance. I can help with that one.@ Stenaco. Congrats. I was following ur study permit issue with the high commission last year. Never knew you got the permit. No feedback to the house. Hope you have settled down. Issue of job for a student depends on many things. Your study permit allows you to do part time work but all this depends on your location, course and background. There is generally high unemployment rate. Most students do odd jobs like night shift waiters and cleaners or others The money is small but will augment u. If your course schedule is light not 8am to 5pm like some research program, u can even do day time shift. It is easier if u are in big cities like Joborg, Pretoria and Cape Town. There is fear and hatred for naijas but as a student u are more acceptable. Can also move closer to Naija professionals who u can meet in churches like RCCG, Winners, Christ Embassy. They have their links and can help especially with naija biz men but be careful about naijas on d street, most are into shaddy things and can clean you out. |
I think we have lost our priorities and values. We are in a world where anything goes. The entertainment world has taken over ,people do not see the need for moral and academic education. It is now the fast lane world. No regards for the commandments of God but whatever our body craves We are surely coming to the end where the holy book talked about people being lover of themselves instead of God, justifying evil for modernity and having inordinate desires ,forgetting that everything will be tested by fire. The love of this world is enmity with God |
lrguru: Adultery is a sin in the sight of GOD, but i'm not GOD so i do not have the right to judge no man, since i'm just a mere mortal. For those of us still alive, just lead a clean life, cos no one know when u shall see hit the other side. RIP goldieDid u see her committing adultery? Did you made your conclusion by what u read online? You have already judged her with your opening statement. |
rman: Efe Ambrose is the 12th player for Juventus tonight.I blame the coach for using Efe Ambrose. Is there no other player to play his role. How on earth do you use a guy who went through the rigours of AFCON, flew from Joborg to Scotland and was playing a top class match within few hours of landing. I was shocked seeing the guy on the field. |
@Luvlagos]@ngwana.mobu I agree with your submission 100%. I felt bad when I heard about the case on thursday. I am presently studying in Cape Town and can tell you that an average south african hates the police and avoid them like shit. Nigerian police are far more less corrupt. I had tough time getting accommodation and the reason was because I am a Nigerian. My landlord told me about his nasty experience with naijas. The first thing that come to mind on hearing naija is drugs. They claimed that 90% of drug dealers are naija. The irony is that naija don't use d drugs. To them naijas are devils sent down to destroy their youths. Other nationals also do their things quietly but naija must show they are in charge. Naijas are really in charge of the trade and the corrupt police is feeding off the biz therefore no crack down except occassionally Extrajudiciary killing is wrong but SAPS does this everyday to their own people. NAIJAS need to change their orientation and understand this is SA not Aba, Onitsha or Lagos |
Two things are likely; Publicity stunt by Prof Ibeh or they actually found something, and were excited to make hasty announcements.... The fact is that on daily bases thousands of molecules are screened for therapeutic potency, only very few make it to the final stage of approval for use in humans and even at that stage its the duty of the regulatory agency to make the announcement. So, the conspiracy theory is unlikely. Prof and his team errred in making such public claims, at best what they should have done is to present their research findings in a scentific conference to relevant stake holders and HIV specialists.
I dont really have the full details but i believe the so called prof was wrong to have given a press conference concerning a discovery of such nature. There are laid down guidelines and there are also issues of ethics. You publish your findings in peer review journals or present your findings at scientific conferences. Many of our so called academics behave just like semi illiterates , they publish scientific papers and write funny text with many sections taken from existing books without acknowledgement and brings money bags to launch the book. Very funny indeed. No wander a committee set up by NUC found out that only about 30 PhD publications around the country were fit for advanced publication into a book after considering 1000s of theses. I cant just imagine an academic going to press to announce a discovery, where are the ethics that guides researches Where are the Abalakas and the Abdullahis who made headlines years ago, where are their so called cured patients, dead? after paying huge sum of money. |
flowervase: please house i have a concern, I applied for study permit nov 2012 at Abuja to resume sch late January, I was asked to call back 3 weeks time which i did, having gotten thru i was told to bring additional documents which i did and was told to call back 1st week of January 2013, The thing is I have been trying to get them since last week anytime i do its either the man at the other end tells me they are busy or i should call back later and I don't want to travel all the way to Abuja the third time to be told its not yet ready. please is anyone in the house facing similar challenge? what can be done.@ poster I had similar challenge last year at the Abuja end. I was lucky to have a brother who was checking for me weekly. Will have to leave his office and stay at the embassy. Look for someone in Abuja to do that for u. It could very frustrating. |
@Kosoblanc kosoblanca: house how much is the momentum insurance and can some one in SA help me to do it faster.@Kosoblanc You don't need anybody to do it for u in SA. I was almost messed up by someone who wanted to do it for me last year. Google Ingwe momentum student medical aid. The cost is R 3996 (N 80,000) for one year. Apply online , follow d instructions. Use d address of your department and expect the document emailed to u in 24 hours. Use your Nigerian bank mastercard or visa card to pay online. I use GTB mastercard for transaction in Naija and SA. Do this as soon as possible so that latest by Tuesday u are good to go |
How in the hell does a bus get robbed
This shows u are not conversant with Nigeria to be asking this type of question. Car jacking or armed robbery happens every day across the world. |
Could you please explain what you mean by questionable stops? The ABC that I know of stops only at ABC terminals and other designated bus-stops. ABC is so flawless and upright that they stick to their departure time. If 7:15am is what's written on your ticket, it means that at 7:15 even if its only 5 persons who have purchased tickets, the driver would depart. I experienced such when I was traveling from Awka to owerri via ABC...a bus which was supposed to accommodate at least 15 passengers was so scanty...we were less than 7 passengers in that bus, and as soon as it clocked 8:30am (the departure time) the driver left Awka and headed for owerri. Surprisingly, he didn't stop to pick passengers on the way like other transportation companies do. Instead he drove us straight to our destination. So mr poster please get your facts straight before thinking of rubbishing some else's business. I don't understand you here...what's the distance from Abuja to Ph? A bus that leaves Abuja at 7:15 am, no matter the kind of stopping the driver makes should get to PH latest by 7pm. Now there's one rule you don know...no transportation company bypasses its bus-stop. ABC has a park at onitsha so if at all you guys arrived late as you claimed, the driver would have driven straight to their park for a break, and continue the journey the following day. I've experienced that several times. This leaves me with the following questions. Where exactly were you robbed? What route were you referring to that wasn't safe, cos I see no notorious route from Abuja to Ph. The routes like the benin by pass and benin roundabout were probably passed in broad day light...cos I've never encountered any form of holdup there. All holdups end at ore, and resume in Asaba. And coming from Abuja, you definitely aren't going to make use of the ore route. So if at all you encountered any form of hold up in Asaba, that held you guys till 1am, the driver would have parked his bus at onitsha, cos no one and I repeat no one uses the upi-iweka route at such an odd time (1am). So I ask again where exactly were you robbed? Lies. No transportation company bus would get to its destination 5am (almost 24 hours after departure) and the management would fold their arms. Its not possible...the manifesto which you filled has a carbon copy that stays with the management. So at the estimated time, if there's no trace of the bus, a call would be put across to the driver to know his exact location and how safe it is for him to continue his trip. That's what standard companies like ABC, the young, chisco, ekene...etc do. If you don't have strong proofs to back up your claims, then I would suggest that you refrain from posting crap on this site. Thanks. I believe all the so called craps the guy posted because I experienced similar things with same company. You need to travel with ABC to have a good experience. Departure was delayed for 3 hours. Conductors were dressed like touts without knickners and tee shirts while drivers were poorly dressed. These people used to dress like airliine personnels years ago. Stopped on the road to put water into the radiator. Spent almost the whole day and night on the road for a journey that was supposed to have end before 12am. I paid double what I would have paid for a smaller bus. I was really disappointed because this was not the ABC of yester year. |
