If your nominated occupation is not related to your qualification, you cant be assessed positively. With VETASESS, it is a full assessment, you have to assess both. Is it a 4 year degree from a State university? If yes, I cant categorically say they are not assessed positively but the chances are slim. Kingbukaz: My question is can my Bsc in Public Administration but considered closely related to HR Advisor which I nominated, I read somewhere that if your qualification is not closely related, it may affect the outcome of the assessment. That's why I opted to use only my work experience. Again, my bsc is from a state University here in Nigeria. Hope is clear now? Thanks for responding. |

majiouk2002: Morning peeps, please is it necessary to certify all docs, for visa lodgement, at the Australian embassy before uploading them? Nope. Certification is done for only white n black copies of your documents. If the copy is a colored scan,it can be uploaded directly. Btw,i don't think there is anything like Australian embassy in Nigeria....certification is done in court. I might be wrong sha |

No points required for positive assessment. All you need is concrete evidence of your one year experience and a qualification relevant to Forestry. Try and match the ANSZCO code for Forestry Get your documents together i.e. transcripts, Certificate, Employment evidences (pay-slips, Contract letters etc.) Basically, check the required documents on vetassess website and you are good to go. perrychemical: I have read through this thread from start to the end. It was quite informative and inspiring, you guys are doing a good job. I really want to make a little enquiry about a particular Skill occupation called Forester. I discovered that assessment is through Vetasses. What do you think is the required point to get a positive assesment? With a profile of at least one year experience with Forestry research institute of Nigeria (Frin) as a research assistant and a degree and master in Forestry from FUTA. Thank you very much for your concern. |

Sadly we are in the same dilemma o. PTE has broken my heart thrice now. Also had to apply for NSW this morning after d disappointing news. The extra 5points is from State nomination. So not to worry about that. Yeeshas: @Bellong.... I have taken my PTE a second time, sadly still got the same 76 in speaking. We are now considering applying to NSW for visa 190 with my 55 points, but there is an issue, everytime I try to complete the process of filling my details on the EOI/Skillselect, I get a total of 60 instead of 55, I have gone through it multiple times to see where the extra 5 points came from to no avail. Please why do you think this is happening?
PS: I am tired of writing PTE. |

I am sorry about that. I had actually sent u a mail yesterday only to realise it didn't leave my Outbox. Ive applied for State nomination already Thanks bellong: You delay in reporting the good news...
If Victoria is your intending state, submit an EOI for 190 and apply for nomination from Victoria. The state sponsors the occupation.
Once you are able to achieve the expected English score, edit your EOI for 189.
@Mamajaz,
Amen..... And to you too.

I require a positive assessment of both Qualification and Work experience to be able to submit an EOI. I am not even claiming points for Work experience. Bnimz: Do you NEED the work experience points? If you dont, you can proceed to EOI or try to make up with English.. I remember only Reading was 78... He'll get the required score this time around. |
