IyaTola: My yealy rent is about 22% of my annual income. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment in Alimosho LGA, Lagos. The environment is decent and I look forward to becoming a landlord in the same area. All the other tenants knew somehow that I don't belong among them. Living below your means is possible sometimes but the pressure is high & I wasn't "really comfortable" either. All depends on you & your goals.
Nigeria will humble you..the cheap house you're looking for does not have vacancy in the location where you work, now what do you do? and even the pay for the job can't meet your needs 50%..the system is happening to all of us, that's just the truth.. how many jobs pay over 100k today
gloryhomemaker: This is a quick meal idea on how to cook healthy vegetables egg sauce and boiled unripe plantains. This meal is so healthy and contains most of the nutrients you will need for a healthy living.
Persephone1: As the topic reads, this is a question i have been pondering on for quite a while now. With the recent happenings around, one is left to wonder the whole essence of dating. Attraction is natural, no doubt but aside being mushy and all gloomy what else is the usefulness of the chemical reactions that ends up taking over the logical aspect of a being. If at all these chemical reactions will be left to run, it shouldn't be wildly. Well that Isn't the topic for today.
Two individuals meet, there forms likeness of some sort only to be explored further and ruin the beautiful aura. Then with tears and heartbreak the once most dashing being you had ever seen becomes a devil with horns. The human nature is truly complicated.
The whole essence of dating isn't to explore bodies, it should be to get to know who you are attracted to, it is to determine if the other person is worth moving closer to. If you two share same views of Life. Unfortunately, dating these days is more of knowing how deep your pocket is and what color of labia you posses. What should come last comes first, and when there is an imbalance you see blame shifting.
Perhaps it's time All should go back to the drawing board, go back to the traditional ways. Hopefully there will be a change in the declining rate of meaningful romantic relationship in the Nigerian society.

Messi1: I started a work as a delivery boy in a drink distributor not long ago and everything is going right but one thing i dislike is my boss's fiancee's flirtuous move towards me. She fundiles my hair and caress them. This lady behaves as if she doesn't know me in the presence of my boss, but in his absence she makes the environment uncomfortable for me with her amorous advances. How do I avoid this woman? I don't want to have problem my boss.
onthehill: Woman Dies After Being Detained And Starved For A Year By Her Husband In Yobe (Photos)
A woman identified as Sadiya has died in a hospital after she was detained and starved for a year by her husband in Nguru, Yobe State, IGBERETV reports.
Sadiya, a middle-aged housewife, was rescued by her mother Hadiza after she suspected something was not right when she spoke with her daughter over the phone.
Hadiya went from Kano, where she lives, to Yobe state and found her daughter looking emaciated.
She had been locked up and starved by her husband for a year.
Sadiya was rushed to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital where she was receiving treatement until she died on Saturday, Nov. 19.
Yobe State Police Command, while acting on the warrant issued by Nguru Senior Magistrate Court, confirmed the arrest of Sadiya’s husband, Ibrahim Yunusa, over the alleged detaining and starving of his wife.
"The motive of this act is not known, but police have arrested Mr Ibrahim Yunusa and handed him over to the magistrate court," DSP Dungus confirmed.
Following Sadiya's death, Olumide Omosebi, the CEO of Gnosis Help Initiative, a non-governmental organization helping victims of domestic violence and abusive marriages, revealed that he was made aware of Sadiya's case last year.
He said that he advised her family to break into the house and rescue their daughter.
Sadly, they delayed until one year had passed and it was already too late.
Greattestman: This issue has been eating me up for so long and i don't know what to do. My mother began pressurizing me to rent my own house and leave her alone.
It was unprecedented and i don't expect that from her. I'm barely 20 and I teach in a private school. I also do home lessons so my monthly income ranges from 25k to 30k or thereabout.
This money will not be enough for me to rent a house, buy my food and take care of myself. I have tried to explain but she refused to understand with me. She told her friends to advice me to leave; that I'm matured enough to live alone.
