QuantumK: Hello people. Pls i was going to ask about family members . If you have 2 step mums , is it okay to include in your application as direct family members? One lives in usa with her 3 children the other in nigeria with 2 children but im confused that putting it will affect my application. My dad gave me part of the proof of funds Hope they dont start wondering if i have too much baggage. Does polygamy affect anything. No it doesn't affect anything. People abroad also experience multiple divorces. For my husband's profile, this was the situation. He has two sets of half siblings and we did not even know their dates of birth. We inputted an estimate and included in the LOE that the dates are estimates as we do not live together and don't know. Got PPR in December without issues. Truth at all times. |

Ejadike: Good morning from Nigeria. Please, I've asked this question but no one seems to help with any answer. How much would it cost me to process everything asides from the money I'll need to have as settlement funds in Canada? Please I need your reply on this. Thanks and God bless. Visa not required. It is a technical stop, you will not even vacate the aircraft. |

Hi Fam, for anyone that has used the vans at Toronto Pearson airport, what is the average cost? Destination North York. Also are the vans big enough for 9 boxes and 5 persons? Or only goods will be conveyed then we follow by another car? Thank you. |

hardhewoonmee: Hello, Please I would like to travel to canada june, but i need a few updates about what price was your flight ticket, did you book at the ethiopian office or you bought through an agent, also please do you think I should book a straight flight or do to toronto first then toronto to saskatchewan. Ill appreciate your prompt response. Thanks a lot. It is better you book your trips on a single itinerary. Most flights to Canada will first do a stop at Toronto of Montreal before you board a connecting flight. Just go the the site/app and choose Sask as your destination. You may also check with travelstart or travelden. Note that Ethiopia is usually cheaper on Thursdays and 7 June is the cheapest date in June. |

amindondee: Landing Update
So the customs lady wrote on it that good still coming and gave me my document back. Will ship in some more food in due time for winter later in the year ). Picked up my bags and home we went. Congrats on your safe landing. Wondering though if it might be cheaper for you to buy food in Canada considering the cost of shipping. Those things are available over there you know. Whatever cost you are considering saving will be absorbed by shipping fees |

temyb: I don't know the the magic thag is happening this morning but two people I know found dates just now. One got April 24th and the other May 30th for Lagos appointment. In btw please i want to ask mamas that take their kids with them. My girls are going to be 2yrs soon and we are taking them for summer,by the time they are going they wouldn't be 2 but by the time we are coming back they would be over 2. Would that mean am by children ticket or infant. Please help a mama biko This was me in 2016. I flew with an infant and returned with a child. the airline adjusted the fare for only the return leg when i was in US. All in all, it was cheaper than a full return child fare even with the lap price when leaving Naija. The con is there may not be available seats on your return journey. I was very fortunate to grab one of the only 2 seats left then i called them to issue the ticket. This was Emirates BTW |

ray78: Good day nairalanders.Anyone using a GT Bank Mastercard?I just heard we cant withdraw via ATMs.I'm stuck as i have naira in my account thinking i could withdraw it in CAD only to contact GT customer care and be told it is no longer possible, unless i use it for POS/WEB payments??Please what step can i take to get my money in CAD? You can do a POS cash advance at major stores and get cashback through POS purchase. Alternatively, you can purchase a money order (which is like a cheque) and deposit it in your foreign bank account then you get your cash value when it clears. |

I have one dated may which I used for Ontario PNP, can I use it or I should get another. I did on a Saturday. Consultant Practice but you need to be there very early cos they will stop taking names around 10am. If it happens to be a rainy morning, even better, go in the rain, you will have few people there. Go with your passport, a copy of your international passport, your passport photo and a funded bank card, they usually do not take cash payment |

I have 2 US born children and their country of birth is stated as US on their e-medical. Though I presented their US passports and did medicals at Children's Practice. |

If you are on the verge of changing your phone, is it advisable to buy from naija or get it when you land?-Also generally, where are the best places to get phones? Also what should a new immigrant spend on their first car(family of 5) and where do you get the best deals? |

Dammiehar: In this case, I think she needs to make her separation legal. Even if she is not going for divorce straightaway, she needs legal backing that they are separated. This is very important, as in this case the husband will not have to go for medicals, but the children have to, she will also have to show POF for the kids. She needs to talk to a lawyer, who will advise her on what to do. To add to this, if the hubby will not consent to making the children available for medicals; she has to present a legal document showing that she does not have custody and access to the children in order to waive the medicals. |

debbiejosh: You are right sir, in March even with my PR Card, I wanted to buy PTA, I wasn't given with a one way ticket, so you need to know which bank truly honours PTA on a one way ticket, even with the immigrant visa. I have not checked to see if this question has been answered. One way ticket is not eligible for PTA by Banks per CBN policy. However, if a Bank also has a BDC subsidiary e.g Stanbic, you can apply (but you have to have maintained an acct for a certain period and book like 2-3 weeks ahead). Else, you can get from other licensed BDC like Travellex that have regulated pricing or buy a return ticket. |

Visa is not required for visiting up to 6 months only. For pendant residency, processing still required. In my own case, I used their US passports as the principal ID merrymum: As your child is a US citizen, he/she doesn't need a visa to enter Canada. So you can upload both passport biodata pages but you won't be sending the child's passport for visa stamping when you get PPR because the child is already a citizen of a visa-free country (US). It's same with my daughter. |

Thanks for your response. Tried the phone scanner. The passports scanned well but the BC, funny. Seems it has some embedded watermarks under light and the paper itself is wide. My husband's feels I shouldn't worry that they are familiar with this thing MummyJaygirls: This ur matter na wa o, u should have come to ask for suggestions before submitting na. Anyways as u r worried, u can raise a CSE. There are some phone scanner apps, u can try it, u may also snap the pp, scan with the phone app then upload.
We await feedback. Goodluck! |

Bimpsy99: Wes gives the most favorable resut. Two or more cert. IQAS evaluate as three year diploma, use them if you are not the principal applicant otherwise use WES. The difference of over 50 marks is significant Hello Bimpsy99, how did you input the HND assessment? 3 years or more PLUS one year program? |

merrymum: You said your work experience is NOC C. Please remember that only NOC 0, A or B are qualified for express entry. Double check all the requirements (read page 0 of this thread) before you make your decision. I have a total of 9 years experience but 5 years fall under NOC C, 4 years in NOC 0. |
