ShedrachU:Even if he comes now, he will fail because they will use corruption to affect his free making decision. During his days, Nigeria wasn't as bad and corrupt as this. This issue is a structural problem. |
ppogba:Thank you my friend. I'm an objective and frank person. Thank you too for maturedly engaging me. I like people like you. |
TOPCRUISE:I checked back your mention and saw that I wrongly quoted you instead of the other guy. Apologies. You have not said anything wrong, please. |
Where's the vision? All these old recycled politicians that keep bearing every party's flag? The ones with vision, are they even allowed to smell primaries? |
TOPCRUISE:If you had ONLY said they are ingrates, I wouldn't have bothered quoting your mention, but saying it won't be well with humans like you is improper my brother. |
TOPCRUISE:Cursing people like you just because of football?? Are people's choices the same? Can everyone share the same opinion with you? This is not good for your personality...com'on. |
Nigeria's problem is beyond a 90mins match we're watching on TV. It's a reflection of a failed state. Even a blind man knew Eguavoen could have changed to a 4-4-2 formation in the 2nd leg which Nigeria was always known for in the days of Okocha and Kanu. Common sense should tell him that the only striker we had had no goal scoring chances because he was out-marked by two players. He would have started him with Ighalo from first half. Nigeria....hmmm....painful and avoidable things. Modified: As for your question, that Eguavoen was woeful did not still justify that Rohr was good. He was getting really poorer after the world cup as he lacked technical skills. Let's not get too used to mediocrity that we call average good because of some few results. Our problems have always been judging by results only even when quality is dying and the foundational structure is eaten up, until a day the whole building collapses. |
For me: dead on arrival. Other Nigerians can collect your ₦1k, rice, salt and maggi. |
Fahdiga:Louder please! |
RealLordZeus:I tell you I was worried by the headline until I read through. I've always learnt to read contents before presuming especially with the way journalism is being bastardized globally, especially this naija news and unscrupulous bloggers. Before, headlines were enough because they reflected the summary of news, but I can't teach my children to read newspapers again by merely scanning through headlines first. |
ArchiLimited:At least, they qualified and it's there on the records. Not all will have the excellent show, but the honour of being on the world's largest sport stage is a beauty on its own. |
The whole country will soon declare for Presidency! ![]() |
Bodmum:Kai ![]() |
3kay945:Thank you, Sir. We must not defend mediocrity and lacklustre performance. The truth is that Super Eagles is a reflection of the crumbling structures of a failed state. The nail should be hit on the head without fear or favour when and where necessary. My best wishes are with the SE in their return leg. |
mymadam:You're welcome friend. I treasure reasonable and matured chats. That's how it should be! |
FalseProphet1:Una eyes go clear if Super Eagles no up their game on Tuesday with that nonsense wey dem play yesterday. |
pafra:I love when people engage me intellectually without sounding insulting and demeaning! Which one is stop watching football? And if you will still continue sounding like that, don't quote me again, please. |
abulude:I tell you. Not to even think their accounts can be traced to criminals trying to quickly dispel evidence by transferring dirty money into their account. This is how some innocent people experience "akoba " (are implicated) and find themselves in prison for their foolishness. |
pafra:Ehn ehn. I don't know football. Pls, tell me more. So, Nigeria went to Ghana and performed woefully because they saw themselves as underdogs to Ghana?! A grasshopper mentality like the 12 spies did in their low esteem. So, Ghana told Super Eagles not to be able to make 6 passes through in the first 27mins of first half, to be holding the ball unnecessarily too long, fall down with no stamina at the slightest fair tackle, leave a loose midfield while forcing passes to already clipped flanks? Wasting set pieces nko? History has nothing to do with current form of players and playing well with good tactics. Abi na history tie our legs again from playing good football? Na we be our own problems for this country. |
tamdun:No word in English to qualify their shamelessness! It's painful everything does not give one hope in Nigeria. What does it even take for these players to make 6 passes to one another in the first 27mins of the first half? All players invited, like my fear would have it, why were those with quality play not used? Why the invitation if we would waste 70mins before substituting and wasting our chances of changing the game and scoring? Must we continue playing flank football despite being clipped? What's wrong in changing pattern and playing middle? No push or drive from the players except Osimhen. All were playing big man game. |
mymadam:Away rule has been removed. Modified: It hasn't pls. Only for UEFA. But, it only counts as double, if the scorelines between the two teams are the same. |
Cmanforall:Nigeria is "cryable". Pardon my English. Hope always being killed. I'm tired of hoping. Everything just wrong. |
Angelfrost:This is the only logical comment I give a thumbs up. |

forgiveness: ![]() Don't be surprised, you see all sorts on NL. It's easy to type and send but not critically thinking before pushing that send button. That's why we even have more typing errors today. No critical thinking and evaluation! |
Stale news! |
EatforHealth:Exactly! If all those money used to fund this programme were judiciously used to repair the intra-road network without those corrupt project commission, it would have been a better priority. What's the essence of destroying these fine cars on our non deplorable roads and spending more on vehicle maintenance and repairs? Yet, all things being equal, this programme is a good one. |
