Hi All,

In submitting PR application, can you advice if just the front page of the passport photograph is required or do i need to upload the stamped back as well.
Also there is no option of provincial nomination document, do i need to upload that anywhere.

Thanks

Hello People long time no talk. Landing gist below:
So PPR came July 25th after 9months! *side eye*IRCC but we thank God sha. Booked lufthansa for 15th september (landed 16th sept, my birthday so to say i started this journey on a new note ehn). Journey started from eko ile around 5:30pm with plenty entourage my parents and in laws, traveled with my husband and one infant. Had 5 bags, one hand luggage, backpack, car seat and baby stroller. I thought lufthansa will give hassle with the car seat and stroller cos their site said either or, just wanted to try my luck sha, they actually accepted both. Before i continue, 3days earlier we weighed and reweighed luggage and decided it wont make sense to pay for extra luggage (lufthansa charged CAD$300, smh) so we went to cargo paid about 175k for 141kg and issued receipt for N23K (which way naijahuh?).

Maybe the mistake was informing cic.
From what ive read, people that renewed and didnt inform ircc, did not have such issues. I will modify. Thanks
gaggle:
Hmmm are u sure about this. I and hubby renewed our passports post COPR and we travelled with both passports without any issues.

GozyNA:
This is the most untrue thing I've read on this thread. Do better.
Did you use another passport after COPR?
Cos i got another one, and had to resend the new one to accra for a new counterfoil.
Someone also wrote same on this thread.
Maybe if CIC isn't notified, it might be a different game.
But i notified them to avoid stories that touch at point of entry, and cos i intended to travel close to the time my medicals would expire.
So verify or support your assertions before writing "do better"

Hello landed seniors

Can i travel with my passport that has less than six months validity if i have copr?

Please help as booklets hasn't reached my capturing date
infact if you obtain another passport i.e renew post COPR, your immigrant visa becomes invalid if you inform ircc.

Most of your points are valid.
However, i am one of those you've not met @the bolded.
Time will tell though
Guitarlife:
grin grin grin grin I see alot of back and forth about wether its worth it to immigrate or not. The only people debating this are people still in Nigeria "doing well" (Either by hook or by crook). Nigeria a place where they call you stupid if you are honest and call you smart if you are a fraudster. I have never met a Nigerian who travelled here as a PR saying they want to go back to there Nigeria life regardless of how much money they were making.

So if you have only lived your life in Nigeria stop comparing that country with Canada based on what you are reading on paper , you are simply not qualified to make that judgement.

Personally coming to Canada has proven to be a great decision for me and I am grateful to almighty for giving me this grace.

I nither generated a reference ID nor application number. I think those would be neccesary if you are trying to either pay or fill the form online. There is really no need once you get the approval letter from Immigration. I didn't pay online, I paid at POE
Oleayo22:
Hello everyone,
I need info from anyone who got VOA letter from immigration how they generated reference Id and application no. Did you end up paying online or just came to Nigeria to pay at POE?

hi Peeps,

Or what is the procedure?

One thing about visa application is that there is no hard and fast rule. I applied for my mum before I landed and her application was approved.
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by temmytee1(f): 7:52pm On Oct 18, 2018
Thanks a lot. She does.
I appreciate.
vcole:
@temmytee1 if your mom meets the requirements for a tourist visa aka trv then she can apply for one on her own. As long as she can show evidence of employment or self-employment or other legitimate source of income, plans for accomodation and can sufficiently cover the cost of her travel, she would be fine. She would fill your name, occupation, date of birth and current place of residence on her family information form as part of her application. There would be no misrepresentation since you have not landed yet and as such you are not a PR yet.
You can find more information on the Canadian Trv thread

Hi all,
Please i intend to apply for a visit visa for my mum. She intends to come at the end of december and i will be landing as PR at the end of November. Would you advise that she applies now or after i land.
My concerns are processing time and to avoid misrepresentation.
If she chooses the option of visiting family or friends i can't provide her an IV letter yet, so it will have to be tourism.
But she has to fill a family information form and will definitely include my name.
Please advice. Thanks
