Bambi222: please can you explain the proof of funds part, what documents do i carry for that. Also, is there a required percentage of school fee i should have paid? Bank statements. You can login to your bank app. For percentage of school fees, I don't think there's a requirement. Just have the balance fees in your account |

What I am expected to do on the supposed day and how long it takes please as I am having my appointment soon. Thank you. Just get there early. Ensure you go with your passport and payment receipt. As for how long it takes, i think it depends. The average time is 5 hours depending largely on how early you get there |

ChikaIJ55: Hello everyone.
Please i need some information about Conestoga college.
I recently got an admission in Conestoga college for Applied Energy management - Renewable energy stream for January 2024. The program length is 2 academic years (periods of 8 months).
I would like to know if the program provides a room for 3 years PGWP and the steps to follow after paying my acceptance fee.
Thank you. Yeah. You'll be eligible for a 3yrs PGWP. After paying your acceptance fee, the next step is to apply for your visa |

Hopez456: Someone posted in a WhatsApp group I belong to the following relating to the return ticket issue.
"I just left Egyptair office here in Abuja where I went to get final clarification on all the issues concerning their flight plans. Their Rep. manager clearly stated that the root of the entire issue was that two individuals were sent back from Cairo to Nigeria when the immigration officials at Cairo discovered they had fraudulent documents. They were heading to Canada but their trip was cancelled in Egypt. Hence, more strict measures were employed. In conclusion, only citizens, permanent residents and students with all of their supporting documents(I-20 &!admission letter from your school) will be allowed to board. Finally, the credit card issue only becomes an issue on the suspicion of any fraudulent activity or history of fraudulent activity. If none, then you’re free for onward boarding. On this note, here is wishing all EgyptAir passengers like myself a safe flight in advance. Cheers! 😉"

Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by tenderjunkie: 11:50am On Jul 18, 2023 |
Hopez456: Thanks bro. I know it is illegal, but what can one do.
I will however go their office soon Apart from it being illegal, it has zero benefit to Egyptair. It will only chase away their potential customers to other airlines. That's the only reason to know it is false |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by tenderjunkie: 11:37am On Jul 18, 2023 |
Hopez456: I called EgyptAir customer care in Abuja and I was told return ticket us compulsory when your visa is less than 2 years. Which is the location did you call? Nothing concern airline concern your visa length. Even if you want to book a return ticket, you can choose to do so with any airline of your choice. The claim that Egyptair will make booking a return ticket with them compulsory is absolutely ridiculous. No airline has that authority! |

zubizareta: So I just got off the phone with Egyptair customer care and they confirmed that's a pure lie.
They said the only conditions they have for students are: Ensure your departure date is close to your resumption date. Evidence your school fees is paid and enrolled as a student. I just tire. The rumour actually makes no sense. Nothing agents cannot do for money sha. And most people are driven by hearsay rather than facts. Thank you for confirming |

Vheekthur: Hello house, good morning. Please, gurus in the house, I need help. I have a friend that is interested in studing in Canada. She has BSC, Post graduate and MSc in Accounting already. Considering the fact that Masters programs are usually expensive in Canada than Graduate Certificate (post graduate), is it advisable she use her BSc result and apply for a post graduate, or use her post graduate to apply for another post graduate or use her post graduate to apply for MSc?
2. Please what school do you think is best for her to apply.
NB, She will be travelling with 3 Children. Having a master's degree in accounting doesn't stop her from applying to colleges in Canada. She needs to convince the VO why a college postgraduate certificate suits her more. I know someone who has a master's in engineering and went ahead to do a postgraduate certificate in robotics |

Hopez456: From a group I belong to. It is very misleading. I know someone traveling via Egyptair and he was forced to visit their office to find out. The information about booking a return ticket is false. The document he was asked to provide upon departure was the yellow fever card. I believe this return ticket nonsense is the handwork of some flight agents to get bigger commission from their clients |

allbestkaima: I will be arriving Saskatoon on 10th August with a student visa. I don't have any relation there and no accommodation. Is there any group that I can join? Congratulations! Please try to secure an accomodation before leave Nigeria. Temporary or permanent is fine. You can use Airbnb to get temporary housing at least for a period of 1 week. Download the app on your phone and you can make payment using your dollar card or your wema naira card. Ensure the unit you book has a refund policy. That way you can get your money back if you choose to cancel your stay fully or in-between. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Religion Has Finished My Mother.. by tenderjunkie: 10:14pm On Jul 12, 2023 |
SultanOfPuna: Religion has turned my mother into a shadow of herself. Ever since our teenage years my mother was not the churchy type. We are raised Catholics Back then she was active and bubbling.
all of a sudden my mother left Catholic faith and started messing around with different churches. This has cause countless rift between us, my dad and elder sister have done everything possible but my mum is too brainwashed by these Pentecostal pastors.
How can someone be attending Christ embassy and winners chapel?? I Heard she wants to join mountain of fire but changed her mind. Everytime church, church, church Yet she never gain anything from it I have been sending her money for her for upkeep since November last year only to come back home February this year and discovered she donates everything to different churches
I feel she might have a mental disorder and I don't know how to save her. She literally spends all the money in church donation tithe and all those craps. And those pastors always calling her to come for one program or the other. I don't know what to do Nor be only you. This thing has crept into many Nigerian homes |

Adebayo82: Good morning everyone. Please I have a brother coming to Saskatchewan university 3rd of August 2023. I need cheap flights for him without transit visa of any kind. If somebody could share with the best and cheaper airline that doesn't required transit Visa. Please treat it as urgent. There's no cheap flight for that date. I doubt you'll see anything less than 1.5m. Also the earlier you book the better. To avoid transit visa wahala, avoid flights that have stops in USA. Also avoid flights that have more than one stop in Europe. So book only flights that have one stop in Europe. It could have a stop in Africa (if you use Egyptair or Ethiopian) but not more than 1 stop in Europe |
