Why would you think a yoruba King should go to a church to seek God Almighty?
Does Olodumare live in a church?
Tinubu once said yoruba Obas are useless. ..now I agree, cus the simple task of being the custodian to the culture and traditions of your ancestors is now too difficult. . It is better to not have an Ooni in Yorubaland than one that doesn't represent the idea of "OONI"

Imagine after being coronated by obatala, Obalufon, Oranfe etc he goes to give thanks to jesus... is this an act befitting for a human being. .king or not?
He goes to church to seek God Almighty, because that is where He can be found. And the king gives thanks to Jesus, because Jesus is way higher than all the Obatalas, Obalufons and Oranfes put together. undecided
CultureRe: Ooni Ogunwusi Blasted For Kneeling In Church by Tequilah:
dondaddycares:
Stupidity is when you compare the Oba to the Queen of England without knowing the status of the Queen. The Queen is the spiritual and temporal head of the church of England, so all the Bishops and Priests of the church of England kneel and bow before her. Now to the Oba, is the Oba the head of the church where he knelt? Aside this logical argument, the Oba knelt before the living God who is the giver and taker of life, if you got problem with that, God hug transformer

Hmmm...

When they keep hunting igbos
What they don't understand Is that not everybody has made up his or her mind, some people are swayed by sentiments but when u make their sentiments legit is when things go crazy

I got my very first ban on nairaland a week ago,a weeks ban to be precise for simply quoting a line from a book which you just did 'there was a country'
To say I'm highly disappointed is an understatement. I started visiting nairaland from back in high school when I finished jss3 been a registered member since the day I opened my very first email account and this makes this account 2yrs+ and I'm just 18

My point..stop the witch hunt or the agitation would grow
I'm out.
Getting a ban is not a new thing. Just stay within the rules, and if it was spambots that banned you, then send a message to the mods to unban you. And finally please grow up. Nobody is hunting Igbos.. undecided

you can try another tactics we all know that Buhari collect money from Dasuki so he is a thief. you can only try but you can't stain Jonathan. braze don blow fowl yansh don show.
Don't mind them. Even the judge said it was "a reference in code (not subtle) to the former President of Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan..". They have NOT provided conclusive proof that it was actually Jonathan, neither did they state the exact way in which he was implicated in the deal.

If I were Jonathan, I would file a counter-suit against that so-called judge in the same court for defammation! angry Italian businessmen generally have one of the worst reputation in international business circles, when it comes to corruption. sad

More than half of the N171.32 billion ($1.1 billion) paid to Malabu Oil and Gas for the procurement of one of Nigeria’s richest oil fields, OPL 245 by Shell and Eni was used to bribe Nigerian politicians and intermediaries who helped to secure the controversial deal, Reuters is reporting.

According to a letter seeking the help of UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to freeze the assets of those involved, Italian prosecutors said some of the N83 billion ($533 million) slush money was used to buy private jets and armoured vehicles. “We are investigating many money transfers to many people in various countries who received sums that vary from millions of dollars to thousands of dollars,” Reuters claimed the letter reads.

British prosecutors acting on the request have already frozen two accounts with combined sum of N29.5 billion ($190 million) belonging to the chief intermediary, Emeka Obi. Former oil minister, who was convicted for money laundering in France, Dan Etete, owns Malabu Oil and Gas. The company was incorporated five days before the oil block was awarded to it in 1998 during the regime of military dictator, Sani Abacha.

While trying to cover his link with the company, Mr. Etete registered the company with a fictitious director, Kweku Amafegha. The company also listed a fake address in registration documents.

Mr. Etete confessed to a British court in 2013 that former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, demanded a slice of the oil block as bribe.

The Federal Government acted as a conduit for the fund after Shell and Eni raised concerns over transferring the money directly to Malabu due to Mr Etete’s conviction. PREMIUM TIMES investigation revealed that after the money was paid to the Federal Government account, it transferred N120 billion ($801 million) to Malabu’s account.

The Attorney General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke, and Minister of State for Finance, Yerima Ngama, authorized the transfers.
The company subsequently transferred the money to shady companies with fake addresses.
Despite overwhelming evidences showing that Shell and Eni are aware that the money would be paid to a character with a shady background, officials of the companies have denied any wrong doing in the affair.

For instance prosecutors said that a senior official of Shell had a face-to-face meeting with Mr. Etete over expensive “lunch and lots of iced champagne” few moths before the money was transferred to the Nigerian government.

An email presented during the trial also mentioned that the Shell official who feted with Mr Etete would refer to someone in The Hague known as “Peter” over the terms of the deal. Curiously, Shell’s CEO is named Peter Voser.

The Italian prosecutors are investigating the role of Eni’s former CEO, Paola Scaroni and his successor Claudio Descalzi, for alleged international corruption over the scandal. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/168992-malabu-oil-deal-corrupt-nigerian-officials-bought-private-jets-armoured-cars-with-n83-billion-bribe.html

Until you answer the question about how many Igbo communities in Igboland, does the Bonny river run through, I am afraid you won't get someone to save you and drag you to the shore. Maybe those ships you are waiting for to sail up the Imo River will send a life-guard to rescue you. Keep drowning....

Fruit punch, point out where I wrote that the Bonny River runs through Opobo and Eleme. If you cannot what should be your name? Desperado?
Did you take any fruit punch tonight, is that why you are now seeing strange things? Were you not the one who wrote this statement below?
You were the first to mention Opobo and Elele when you were talking about the Bonny River. Do you recall being asked if the Bonny river runs through Igboland? You couldn't even give the names of the Igbo communities through which the Bonny river flows through...

ezeaguisforever:
The Bonny River runs through Port Harcourt from Elele. Anymore questions or will you find something else to twist in your favour and act like you haven't completely 'drowned'?
ezeaguisforever:
Tequilah or is it fruit punch, did you miss where I posted this image when you asked for the size of the mouth of the Imo and I told you it was a mile wide? Did I not tell unu that Opobo was even being discounted for discussion sake? Are there not Opobo people who have been recorded as identifying as Igbo?
Were you not the one who mentioned this? Stop calling others names, that you should bear. 'Desperado' is actually your own middle name, going by the way you have used google maps, pictures etc., to try and convince everyone that your container ships from Igboland will sail through Imo river, New Kalabar River etc into the sea. Am done.

Okay, so it seem you're really confused or you just don't want to admit that your point has been debunked. Now you're just writing nonsense for the sake of it. Is Opobo on the Imo River or the Bonny River? Ogogoro joker. Don't be a junky.
You keep contradicting your own statements at every turn, and you have now ended up making a fool of yourself. Why are you asking if "Opobo is on the Imo River or Bonny River?" Were you not the one that stated that Bonny River runs through Opobo and Eleme, in one of your previous posts?? Haba, you have just revealed to everyone that you are in fact the Ogogoro and Kai-kai drinker here, with the way you keep clutching at straws.

That part was not Ojukwu's fault, the war started from Opi around Nsukka, first land corridor taken, Murtalla invaded through Asaba that led to the demolition of the Niger bridge, you expect ojukwu to route supplies through Owerri -portharcourt when PH fell as early as 68?
That would be suicidal.
The Federal govt offered Ojukwu a land corridor. If Ojukwu had accepted their offer, it would have been the federal govt's headache to get the food to them through land. Why did he decline it?

Jealousy and envy at its peak! You are not in any way from ala Igbo, yet you've spent days arguing about Igbo land with a bona-fide son of the soil. Are you not ashamed of yourself? What happened to trying to figure out how to change the perpetual brown roof syndrome Yoruba land, even with all her seas and oceans has been afflicted with, instead of being so obsessed with Igbo land.
No problem, continue running from pillar to post, as you can't see that @ezeagu has you by the balls in this argument.
Stop getting paranoid! Is there a law that says non-Igbos cannot pass comments about issues that concern Igboland, when several Igbo people keep passing comments about things that concern other ethnic groups?? huh

So why are you getting hysterical? Ezeagu made his points, and I made mine. You seem to be getting worked up over it, for some reason. Will you get over yourself and stop looking for enemies where there are none?? chai! shocked

And you should get a refund from your teachers o, because they did a bad job in teaching you that everyone who does not see your myopic point of view is Yoruba. It is a pity that you swallowed their fallacy, because my ethnic group is totally different and has absolutely nothing to do with the Yorubas. You are free to continue racking your brains, trying to figure out how to change the brown roofs in Yoruba land. Now will you run along and play with juveniles like yourself?! shocked

And what does that signify? How does this change the fact that the Bonny River runs through Igbo land? LOL. Keep the joke coming.
Now everyone has seen that you are the only joker on this board. unfortunately, your antics are really getting dry. It is quite obvious that the Bonny River you were basing all your earlier hopes on, does not even run through Igboland.

I guess this is now your cue to try and prove that Opobo people are actually Igbo, so that you can justify your claim that Bonny River runs through Igboland, and your container ships would have direct access to the sea...

Oh, so Imo river is no longer directly linked to the sea where it gives access to your ships from Igboland to sail through? Is that why you are now claiming Bonny River into the bargain? And trying to show that it runs through Igboland? And is that why you are also trying to turn Opobo people into Igbo?
