the bolded is a major problem affecting clubs of this nature especially in Nigeria. One thing I believe is that things of these nature should be managed/run by people who are passionate about it and see it as a life style,once someone in this mould is at the helm, the drive and dynamism needed to make the club a success comes naturally.

Yes! Affordability is another factor, truth is to set up and run a club like this isn't cheap but that doesn't mean that members would be made to 'dole out funds the price of a Davinci painting at an auction' just to be a member of the club. Becoming a member definitely will come with a financial responsibility...

Membership should not be affordable to the elites only. There can be a payment structure where members can pay In installment.

And oh! Did I mention that a sponsorship/support program can be set up to support members and members to be...

An annual fund raiser for the club can't be written off as well. All these help cushion against the problem of affordability.

In all, it depends on how transparent and liberal the owner(s) wishes to be.

I'm planning swimming and piano class for Summer hols. Painting is not a problem (will organise for Summer too). Honestly won't mind starting a playgroup but let it be free (abeg how much money does everyone have in Nigeria and I'm a Socialist at heart) and it would be nice to mingle with other mums.

If I drive to that tollgate, I'm parking and not paying any increase. Any day you see one video of a mad woman fighting the agberos and toll officials, just know I snapped.

Just set one up already... u'vealready identified the problem, create/profer the solution.

And don't make it free, u might not be able to maintain standards and trends.

With respect to business, I know Awka[capital of Anambra] to be a an ideal city that provides all things needed for a business to grow, especially for start ups.

Awka has a good security[85% .my observation though]

Rents are relatively on the low side compared to other cities like lag, abj, Enugu, Port...

The city is well positioned... It's a 35mins drive from onitsha, 45mins from Nnewi, an hour and a few minutes drive from Enugu.

Awka Has a very minimal open market presence[ just one major market ], so consider ur boutique business to do well if Ur shop is well sites and u can meet the people's demand and taste.

The city of Awka is house to majorly politicians, civil servants, lecturers, students and 'contemporary business men'(not traders o!). Let me also add that during weekends, those wealthy 'money miss road' importers from onitsha spend their time in Awka while taking their mistresses for shopping spree. So more money on weekends.

I could go on and on... lemme also stress that reviews of these cities can best be done if u were present to monitor the people's life and fashion style, spending power, security situations, rents, and other factors.

Yes you can but its recommended to at least understand basic Networking and server. Thats where Comptia (Network and Server +) comes into play.

You can use the comptia books and videos to learn but focus on MCSA certification. IMO, i dont think the comptia exams hold any value anymore unless you want to start from 1st line but lots of 1st line support jobs now require some Microsoft server exams

Wow! I must Stress that your explanation above has actual availed me a clear idea on where to start off. This has always been one of my biggest dilemma... I am just happy that I came across this thread cos I believe that with you and others on this thread, i will have a good guide and mentorship(hope that won't be asking for too much) as regards my IT Career.

Concerning the comptia(network and server), are the books, videos u can recommend for me. Also wouldn't mind if you can help with videos and books(soft copies) on comptia and mcsa sever, that would be if I am not asking for too much.

I have a problem in establishing a lab, I Install Winsvr2012r2 using VirtualBox on my win10 i5 6GRAM Laptop but my system begins to slowdown after installing some of the server features/roles and other functions. I saw somewhere one can use VMware from MicrosoftTechnet, a better options for optimising CPU but after goggling it I get no idea on how its installation, is it that i will install Winsrv2012r2 from the scratch or just install the role or part i need on my window 10.
