POPE II: I'm talking about the USA duh . Why are American flags present in churches? Na wa ooo, is my English that bad
lol
No it is not. I misread it. Why wouldn't American churches have American flags in them. It is America.

I'm not sure I've seen flags inside the churches. Many have a flagpole out front as a show of patriotism.

POPE II: huh huh Nigerian churches?

Anyway I meant Christian churches
I really don't know. I've never been to Nigeria. Why don't you ask someone in the church? Surely they will know.
RomanceRe: He Asked For Her Passport. by texanomaly(f):
Ideally he should come see you first. If that is not a possibility for some reason, your friend needs to go online and check out what it take to get a passport to the UK. Then she needs to obtain it herself. If she can not afford it and he is serious, he should pay all her fees. Tell her: DO NOT SEND HIM YOUR PASSPORT!! There should be no reason why she can not visit him.

A few things to keep in mind though:

If you have a friend in the UK, or know someone who does; make arrangements to be picked up at the airport by them.

Do not stay with him. Stay with friends, or at a hotel.

Meet him in a public place...Do Not meet him alone.

If possible have a friend there meet him before you come. Also have them come with you for the first meeting.

Make sure the Nigerian embassy there knows where you are staying, and who you are going to meet.

Ask him for a copy of his passport to give to the embassy.

Group unveils Satan statue design for Oklahoma

Associated Press
By SEAN MURPHY 2 hours ago

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A satanic group unveiled designs Monday for a 7-foot-tall statue of Satan it wants to put at the Oklahoma state Capitol, where a Ten Commandments monument was placed in 2012.

The New York-based Satanic Temple formally submitted its application to a panel that oversees the Capitol grounds, including an artist's rendering that depicts Satan as Baphomet, a goat-headed figure with horns, wings and a long beard that's often used as a symbol of the occult. In the rendering, Satan is sitting in a pentagram-adorned throne with smiling children next to him.

"The monument has been designed to reflect the views of Satanists in Oklahoma City and beyond," temple spokesman Lucien Greaves said in a statement. "The statue will also have a functional purpose as a chair where people of all ages may sit on the lap of Satan for inspiration and contemplation."

The Satanic Temple maintains that the Oklahoma Legislature's decision to authorize a privately funded Ten Commandments monument at the Capitol opened the door for its statue. The Ten Commandments monument was placed on the north steps of the building in 2012, and the Oklahoma chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union has sued to have it removed.

Similar requests for monuments have been made by a Hindu leader in Nevada, an animal rights group and the satirical Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

In response, the Oklahoma Capitol Preservation Commission recently placed a moratorium on considering any new requests.

"Anybody can still make their request, but we'll hold off on considering them until the lawsuit is adjudicated," commission Chairman Trait Thompson said.

The push by the Satanic Temple has rankled elected leaders in this conservative state known as the buckle of the Bible Belt, who say such a proposal would never be approved by the commission.

"I think you've got to remember where you are. This is Oklahoma, the middle of the heartland," said Rep. Don Armes, R-Faxon. "I think we need to be tolerant of people who think different than us, but this is Oklahoma, and that's not going to fly here."

While Greaves acknowledges the Satanic Temple's effort is in part to highlight what it says is hypocrisy of state leaders in Oklahoma, he says the group is serious about having a monument placed there.

The group already has raised nearly half of the $20,000 it says it needs to build the monument.

"We plan on moving forward one way or another," Greaves said.

Another Oklahoma legislator, Rep. Earl Sears, called the group's effort "an insult to the good people of the state."

"I do not see Satanism as a religion, and they have no place at the state Capitol," said Sears, R-Bartlesville.

On its website, the Satanic Temple explains that it "seeks to separate Religion from Superstition by acknowledging religious belief as a metaphorical framework with which we construct a narrative context for our goals and works.

"Satan stands as the ultimate icon for the selfless revolt against tyranny, free & rational inquiry, and the responsible pursuit of happiness," the website says.

UncleJJ: Why would he want to lick her clit. Only virgins have that privilege - the sorta di.cks sexually active women have "experienced" is beyond any man"s imagination. What's worse is that does dic.ks have been in others poosay's that have have others other dicks in em.

In a country like America , you could licks all six continents in one slurp. Here it goes ... Africa , spits... Asia , spits, North America , spits, Europe spits.......

OP , no sane Nigerian man will lick an American girls clit.... Six continents in one slurp is just too much for one man. grin
huh huh huh

First of all, don't judge everyone by your immoral standards. I am an American. My husband was the first, and only. I was a virgin. So you can shove your opinions. Stop making blanket assumptions. angry You obviously know nothing about Americans. Don't believe all the trash you see on TV. Whores like Mikey Cyrus, and her ilk are Hollywood trash. Not all Americans are sluts.

Deep Sight: I actually agree with you: there is nothing whatsoever insightful about atheism: it is rank st.upidity, in my honest opinion.

However, when I describe Plaetton as having original insight: I still mean that - for he has an uncommon mind which delves into deep things such as the energies of the universe, the wellspring of consciousness: and even the possibility of extra terrestrial life. Indeed he even has a very unique take on the real identity of Yahweh as an ET being and the real origins of human civilization. He actually has been so lost in arguments on the existence of God that he has never had the time to really elucidate his very very interesting ideas in that regard.

What is shocking, is that such a mind as his could conclude in favor of atheism. Anyway stranger things have been known to happen.
@Plaetton
I would very much like to hear your views on this subject. Deep Sight as well. I am a Christian, but my views on the bolded are not the norm.

FlowerPower: So I was dating a wonderful Hausa man who had everything I wanted in a man except he was a Muslim in Christian clothing. No matter what he said, the conversation always went back to Muslim practices and at the end of the day I'm not giving up my Jesus for anyone. Anyway I decided to back away from him because I didn't want to end up being married to a man who was secretly Muslim. My long time Igbo friend is still around. My family loves him, but I have never given our relationship a real chance because he is not a US citizen. He is a legal resident, but the horror stories I have read about foreign men and American women have scared me.
Recently he gave me some kola nuts, bitter kola, and as always prepared my favorite Nigerian foods. He described the ceremony when welcoming visitors into your home, told me Lekki would be a nice place to live, and said he needed to speak with his uncle (here in the US) about me. No matter who I date (American or Nigerian), I always end up comparing the person to him. He is God fearing, well educated, very sensible, and we are great friends. Besides the citizenship issue, I have another concern...

Is it true that most Nigerian men are not very interested in pleasing their wives intimately? undecided
First of all, where did you hear the bolded? smh... Are your parents Nigeria-American?

What if you have irrefutable proof that not getting what you want or at least not trying to get it is what He wants, probably because it will distract you from his more important plans for you, Will you let it go even if it makes you unhappy?[/quote]The mistake we often make is not thinking with an eternal perspective. We need to think about what will give us lasting happiness. So many times we give in to momentary pleasure. This will not sustain us in the long run. The bolded is not the question you should be asking. You should ask yourself, "Is this something that will bring me lasting happiness? Am I short changing myself later, for this happiness today?" Is it something you can honestly say is for your good, and will not come back to bite you on the behind later?

rationalmind: Hi tex, good morning/afternoon/night.cheesy

It appears you didn't go through the links you supplied. Now, let's take them one after the other.
Yeah Mynd told me.

rationalmind: This isn't a job per say. Its a 6 month internship programme though paid. After the internship, which is just some form of training, the graduate is back on the street looking for Jobs.
Hey six months of employment is better than no employment. At the end you not only had a job for six months, you gained more training and experience. Unfortunately, you are right. This field is more appreciated in better economically developed countries.

rationalmind: This was returning an error message.

The requirement for this is a minimum of a PHD. You know what that means for the graduate, don't you?

This is a job vacancy in south africa not naija

Apart from the fact that this is a vacancy by a non-profit organization, they are looking to apply just one soil scientist who has a minimum of a PHD.

Returned an error message as well.
Ok

rationalmind: Dear tex, all the above links even confirmed all we've been saying. Go to the university to study soil or crop science in Nigeria and you may not find the labour market funny after graduating most especially when you are that average nigerian who has no one to help with "long leg" and you naturally don't have the drive, zeal, and capital to establish a business.
You are right. It is a shame government officials are so busy robbing the people. That money could be used to create subsidies for careers in this field. As I said this field is becoming increasingly important in Nigeria. Especially if population estimates for The future are correct. Nigeria has so much potential that is being stolen away by the corruption and selfishness of your leaders. Smh
