Celepope:And which Bush or Kennedy or CLinton patriarch was ever arrested for MASSIVE embezzlement of public funds? How many Bush, CLinton or Kennedy kids were trained and funded with stolen money? |
Welcome development. We should also strive to stop the sexual harrassment of lecturers by desperate students too. |
pweetixandy:Why should he be running from pillar to post for a baby after just 18 months? Any doctor will tell you that it's not everyone that conceives immediately. Why should he be forced to accompany his wife to visit pastors he has no intention of visiting? So if she goes to meet Ifa priest or the Okija Shrine, he must tag along, eh? |
Emilord:Then I hope nobody ever leaves you alone with their baby. You're clearly a bird of the same feather. |
johnmartus:Which Northern leader hasn't come out to denounce Boko Haram? Has that stopped Boko Haram? Some of you speak out of deep and utter ignorance. |
Applaner:It doesn't take a genius to guesstimate that an attack of that magnitude takes time to plan and execute. I never saw these kind of daft questions when the likes of Olisah metuh were blaming the opposition for bomb blasts without any shred of proof. |
some of these tips are Rubbish, anyway. 5 - 20 secs my arse. |
LMAO! Nigerians will never cease to amaze me. See the entire first page filled with people castigating the act of pouring dirty water. Meanwhile only a few wise souls are asking why a pit was left uncovered for someone to fall into. Is that not - by far - the bigger hazard? A pit that anyone could stumble into in the dark? This promising fellow would never have died if that pit was not open for him to fall into it. |
anonimi:I suggest you take your own advice and re-read my post carefully...unless you're alleging President Jonathan is secretly a female? You post that I responded to began with "She has done an EXCELLENT job so far" Now your response to me is about Jonathan. Are you saying GEJ is a woman? |
cooljude:Does anyone truly care about this? What's the sense in bringing this up? The only criticial information we need to know is that Oil price is dropping below our benchmark price, our Naira is being devalued, austerity measures are being prescribed that will see fuel, food and 'luxury good' price going up. The buffer we should have had in place has long since been frittered away, leaving us looking increasingly vulnerable. Nigerians are (rightly) worried and you're babbling inanities about OPEC politics ![]() |
anonimi:As far as I know, your only role on Nairaland is to divert criticisms of anybody in the FEC to the Senators, Governors and LGAs. This is a thread talking about dire consequences to the economy and you're still desperately trying to paint the FEC folks as blameless saints. Is there something wrong with you? Do you enjoy destroying and devaluing your own country? |
Homguy:You obviously haven't searched for it well enough. Found it in 10 seconds http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Fan-Club-Irving-Wallace-ebook/dp/B007RZVAXW |

Htown64:Nobody's going to count those stoves. Most likely happenstance is that a third of those stoves get purchased while the rest goes into the pockets of crooks. |
Meh |
Chigold101:Ironic that you babble about mumuism yet fail to see that nothing in what you posted invalidates his point. He's asking for photo evidence of the so-called cloned PVCs and you're talking about photos of personnel entering a building. Rubbish |
malachytochukwu:Yet another brainless post. Once again, Nigerians are not saints. So the data verification and electronic archiving process that the data centre was doing would eliminate a whole lot of those. Even if the data was not fully reconciled, this is of little concern to Nigerians. The data being processed is just APC's internal membership data and has little bearing on whatever is used for elections next year. It really is unfortunate that such a simple explanation seems to sail above your head. As someone said earlier, why should I bother about whatever method TAN used to arrive at their membership number of 16 million people when it should play no part at all in any elections? |
okparaugo:This is a good example of a brainless post. malachytochukwu:This is for internal APC registration. This has been made clear in the OP and the multiple comments that follow. Are you truly this m0r0nic? Unless the crux of your argument is that all Nigerians are saints, there is no reason why there will not be instances of folks trying to register multiple times. As many others that are far wiser than you have said, this is internal APC membership registration, and has absolutely nothing to do with INEC voter registration or voter cards. Digitizing this hard copy data is likely to remove these cases of multiple registration. All we have here is a case where the DSS have seized sensitive material belonging to an opposition party, and are probably now perusing it. You can be sure the PDP now have access to sensitive APC records and material. This just seems like executive sanctioned espionage, to be honest. |
alutaoracle:People were shot and it's 'not too bad'? maybe they should shoot you next so you see that gunshot wounds are indeed very bad ![]() |
Codedboy95:Yes. If you'd gone to this type of school, you wouldn't be using "does it worth it" in public. |
Nearly 500 dead this month alone, including 43 school children, ripped apart as they stood in their Assembly hall. Yet our security forces are being misused in intimidating the opposition and carrying out immoral raids on opposition headquarters and seizing sensitive data. Not to mention seizing newspapers and protecting ludicrous impeachment plots. It's no wonder the fight against Boko Haram goes poorly, when key resources are so brainlessly diverted for selfish purposes. |
mikeansy:I remember when Mikeansy was known as a sensible Nairalander. Seems the allure of crisp naira notes is enough to make even the once-honorable folks change into political harlots. |
Arysexy:You don't need 'thorough investigation' to immediately show if fake voter cards were being cloned. Where are the cloned cards? Where are the blanks? It's been days now, no hard evidence. No further arrests of APC leadership for questioning. All you paid-per-post clowns should put some more effort in your output. You may not be paid today for this lacklustre argument o! |
Just three hours ago, the Nigeria Police force twitter handle (@PoliceNG) tweeted this: https://twitter.com/PoliceNG/status/537180920508588033 Nigeria Police ForceWhy is the Nigeria Police force tweeting a partisan link? Aren't they supposed to be neutral and unbiased? |
Arysexy:Why should the SSS be 'waiting for d time to expose the evil party APC'? Can you even listen to yourself admit that the DSS are partisan and are not neutral in this? There is no evidence. All we have is the usual use of state security apparatus to harass the opposition and seize sensitive material belonging to the opposition political party. |
Orunto:But those aren't 'trumped up charges' na. The OP is even being too mild. Much much more than 100k barrels of oil are being stolen daily GEJ didn't deny or refute it when CNN asked him what he was doing that 400k barrels per day were being stolen. |
leo1234:Why do you think this is something 'negative'? This is just a fair reflection of the state of the MMA, PHC Airport and several others than online propaganda spinners have done their best to deceive everyone that they are world class. IMHO, it's people like you that seek to always explain away rubbish with mindless positive platitudes that are trying to destroy Nigeria. |
brainpower:Ironic that your Nairaland username is 'brainpower' because you've just made a thoroughly brainless post. saharareporters made a report based on tweets from an investigative journalist. If you have issues with the info, go on Twitter and read and tackle the tweets. Funny how you disbelieve Sahara Reporters yet you're perfectly willing to accept any official press statement the Chad Govt puts out... As if Governments are oath-bound to always tell the truth. Even Tribune confirmed they went and discussed with the journalist. No guarantees that the info is 100% correct, but dismissing it out of hand because the news was posted on SR is just plain rubbish. |
signz:Ah, Ok. I misread your post, assumed you were referring to the illegal refineries in the creeks. I apologize. With proper oversight, perhaps using imported modular refineries may help...but I can hazard a guess why they are currently illegal in Nigeria. If the ban is lifted, a whole lot of operators will be running with stolen crude. We need to fix our oil bunkering problem first. |
signz:I'm not sure why people express opinions like this one above, but it drives me nuts. Do you even know ANYTHING about the process they use for these illegal refineries? Do you know how they get the stolen crude they use? https://nigerdeltavanguard.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/ILL-I.jpg Do you have any idea how hazardous it is to refine crude in this manner? How damaging it is to the environment? The damage to the workers? The people that die in the process? The massive oil leaks that result from this process? https://cdn.theatlantic.com/static/infocus/nigeria060811/s_n15_RTR2KCQT.jpg There's a reason why standard refineries are very expensive to build, and require a focus on safety to run successfully. Please NEVER try to short-circuit good things...that always leads to disaster. |
I love how the lady carefully fails to state why the husband was denied. I don't think any Embassy in the world is set up to guarantee your marital bliss |
There's a special place in hell for those m0r0ns who think the fuel price hike from the removal of fuel subsidy payments will be 'temporary' and that prices 'will be driven down eventually due to market forces'. It take a special case of treachery to support fuel subsidy removal, perhaps one of the few things that the ordinary Nigerian enjoys from their corrupt leadership. The question we should be asking is why we can be swayed to vote for someone who cannot end the subsidy frauds, and why subsidy payments keep going up despite the partial removal which should have seen the payments drop significantly. Neither GEJ or Okonjo Iweala have been able to come up with empirical reasons why subsidy payments are drastically on the rise again. It's not like our population has exponentially increased or the absolutely number of cars in Nigeria has been raised dramatically. Govt claims that more and more people enjoy better power, so we expect a commensurate drop in amount of fuel being used in Generators. |
