michaelbiz:What does importing cheap China phones have to do with anything? What 'whole show' has Tecno stolen when the entire annual sales of Tecno in Nigeria can be covered by Xiaomi in 2 weeks in China? You think the Nigerian market is what is making Samsung have sleepless nights ? All these clueless people that know nothing. So Tecno is the 'highest quality ' now abi? Technology guru that is happy with the possibility of his data being stolen. Dey dia dey masquerade as 'tech guru' as if we don't have access to your post history. Just thank God that Tecno has made affordable phones for you. You're still yet to explain how you think Samsung bought over the independent Lookout Security, and why they're going after relatively small fry like Tecno instead of massive competition like Xiaomi, Meizu and Huawei. |
ibedun:An 'unwritten rule' doesn't mean it's illegal. 10 years ago, people would have been saying there's an unwritten rule preventing a black man from becoming the President of the US. |
Promking:That's exactly how the source article is worded. Anyway, why do I care? It's clear some of you don't care if all your data and files are being funneled to a remote server somewhere as long as you get to play your cracked copies of Modern Combat ![]() |
michaelbiz:Kai, poverty is not good o!! Lookout security is a highly reputable mobile security company that's used by nearly half of the Fortune 500 companies and is not affiliated to Samsung in any way http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lookout_(company) If this was an attempt from Samsung, they would have been targeting the players like Xiaomi and Huawei that are actually hurting them in the all-important Asian market, not the kobo-kobo Nigerian market ![]() You've just been informed that your phone may likely be spying on you and sending your private data to malicious users. All you can think of is to justify your cheapness by manufacturing a hare-brained conspiracy theory in your head. Smh |
chrisbaba1:Of course he can. That's his right. People in that area will just not vote for him. That's human nature. I'm not sure where it was explicitly stated that only a Yoruba man born in Lagos can run for Lagos Governorship. |
pashaun:In Africa? 99% of the crap that happens there is caused by your fellow black man. This self-denial is hilarious. |
changes1:So they should do like NTA and tell you all is well in Northern Nigeria? Some people just LOVE being lied to. |
How many times will these amateurish stories written by 'naijasinglegirl' hit the front page? |
I think the FG has hit on a strategy here. Just mention 'America' as an excuse and red herring and see mumu-ish Nigerians falling over themselves to believe. |
Bayswater:You mean like how the Russians covertly supplied aid, training and arms to the Vietcong during the Vietnam war? Or to the North Koreans during the Korean war? There's a reason why it was called the 'Cold War'. You naive children seem to know nothing of history. Shame. |
And this is part of the crappy dividends of this administration. Local production still not hitting 1% of demand and yet importation dropping by 20%. People being driven further below the poverty line, import duty hikes preventing people from owning newer, more modern vehicles that are more fuel efficient, pollute less and are safer. As a result, more Nigerians are using old, decrepit and less safe vehicles on the road. Despite this, we still get the same stories and chest beating, largely revolving around Innoson. Where are the Nissan cars we were promised? All we get are PR pieces. Why has none of the pricing details been released? |
Almost makes me want to weep that the journalist is talking about a single tank. Past Nigerian leaders have crippled this army so terribly. We should be talking about at least 10 main battle tanks and a force of 15 assault helicopters. Boko Haram would have been routed long since. The garden variety RPGs and Molotov Cocktails Boko Haram employs against our thin-hulled APCs are useless against sturdy MBTs. Sov-Bloc Main battle tanks like the T-72 are usually MUCH cheaper than tanks you'll source elsewhere, so no point pointing finger at the Americans. I can understand guerilla and suicide warfare, but it's inconceivable that BH should ever be allowed to win a pitched battle in the open against the Nigerian Army. |
shizzleStar:That, fortunately enough, does not apply to me. No interest in any political party at all, only interested in people who are determined to move this country forward. shizzleStar:I don't buy this narrative about Ihejirika, sorry. There's nothing concrete to show for his tenure. No permanent change in tactics, no evidence that issues of morale that have bedeviled the Nigerian Army were resolved, no evidence that Nigerian soldiers were given superior arms in the time he was in charge, no evidence that he ever purchased any helicopter gunships or assault helicopters. I can't see the HARD EVIDENCE to support these claims. To be frank, I find the accusations that Ihejirika has a hand in BH rather laughable. No sense in it at all. Still every bit as likely that the escalation in BH activities could just be tied to a change in tactics from bombings to an all out armed rebellion. |
amaechionuh:Why should I 'commit suicide'? i've already repeatedly said it that GEJ will likely win next year. I'm 99% convinced of it. That doesn't mean I have to like it, doesn't mean I have to toe the line of you compromised lapdogs. I will just continue making money to take care of my family as usual. It's people like you I'm worried about. What will you do for money once 2015 comes around and your masters have no more need of your services? Will you take to begging or Armed robbery? These are the million dollar questions. |
shizzleStar:Yes. I have no patience for anyone that tries to tie Boko Haram to Politics. Such people are partly responsible for the slow response to BH, and I fully am convinced such people - even the ones on Nairaland! - have blood on their hands. Check my post history. I have NEVER once claimed that Boko Haram is anything other than a fundamentalist terror group. Nothing wrong with being paid to blow APC and PDP trumpets. Everything wrong with paid posters that deliberately lie, spread misinformation and attempt to turn logic on its head just to score political points. Such people are e-thugs and sycophants...it matters not if they are APC or PDP sponsored |
tonychristopher:Nebuchadnezzar WAS a historical figure http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nebuchadnezzar_II Wait, you actually think it's only in the Old Testament (jewish histories) that there is information about the Babylonian and Persian empires of old? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!! And you DARE call someone 'ignorant' when you yourself have proven yourself to be a d'unce? ![]() Damn, can't believe you are that silly. And to think you are probably going around, calling yourself and 'educated person'. |
menesheh:Evil proliferates when good men do nothing. It is a shame that someone like you that is educated can call an administration that has used soldiers, police and DSS to harrass and detain opposition politicians, attack peaceful protesters and seize and destroy newspapers a 'liberal' administration. Not since the Abacha days have we seen an administration so eager to use security forces to muzzle opposition and deny tax paying Nigerians of their fundamental human rights. Wole Soyinka is well within his rights to speak up, and only an addled mind will find fault in what he said. |
amaechionuh:Yeah, he couldn't say 'thank you' in 2012 when the elections were far away? You have to 'thank' capitalists that are also Making money hand-over-fist from Nigeria? Either you're a paid sycophant or you're ridiculously naive ![]() Edit: I see with your lumping Boko Haram, GMB and APC together, you're just one of those disgusting e-thugs on Nairaland. I have wasted my time replying you. |
A lot of people think that KSB lost because she ran against Lai Mohammed's son. That may be part of the reason, but another strong factor against her is her reckless promise to 'clear the streets of Ikeja of prostitutes'. That's not a winning message for the (overwhelmingly male) delegates ![]() Even if she ran against Baba Suwe, she would have still lost. |
Firefire:But that's the point. two raids, years of accusations of being behind boko haram etc. And not a single damn secret has unfolded. At some point, one has to point fingers at the accusers when all accusations keep failing. |
I hope we won't hear new allegations of wife beating. |
NoContract:Why don't you do the same, buddy? It's a posthumous release. She didn't release it herself. |
Really lame title. How does a dead person 'release' a video? |
espn:Don't abuse. Report his post to the mods using the Report link. I just did. |
And just to be clear before some Neanderthal attacks me, I'd rather such monies be used to beef up our universities. How many Universities in Nigeria offer courses in advanced astrophysics and rocket science? The whole nation must move forward technologically, not the one you'll pack some phD holders to the UK or China to work on a satellite design team and then start beating your chest. When final year students of OAU are able to make stuff like this and showcase it, then we've arrived. |
govt....always promising, never delivering. I wish the minister would devote time to show us what benefits we derived from the existing space satellite venture we're into, instead of making meaningless promises. Alternatively, provide some details on the sophistication of the satellite to be designed and launched. High school kids in the US have been making mini satellites for a while, so this isn't nearly as ground-breaking as many of you think. |
ireneony:Prettier than you. ![]() |
Nigga Raw!! Still the only Naija rapper to rhyme 'rap game' with 'beans and plantain' ![]() Always loved his music, though. Playing it in my car and learning some Igbo words. That his album that had 'My name' and 'Shake your body' |
Smooyis:Lots of people are dead. Fathers, mothers, children...and all you and your fellow bootlickers can do is to try and turn it into 'the persecution of TB Joshua'. There is no middle ground here. Anyone who believes this was a 'controlled demolition' does not deserve any certificates he may have earned. There's absolutely no evidence that there was any demolition, and the fact that no explosives fragments or bomb residue can be found at the site is a clear indication that no such demolition happened. If there was even a 1% chance that the building was blown up, the place would have been swarming with SSS officers. So basically, No motive No evidence And yet all you blasphemers are so desperate to preserve the aura of invincibility around this flawed man that you come online to lie and mislead and deceive. |
I'm not saying the OP is lying, but he is clearly recounting 3rd and 4th hand information (as someone earlier said) from people he met in the bush. At times like this, people are always given to hyperbole. I find it hard to believe that bloodthirsty BH folks will be obtaining phones from students and not killing them as usual. I bet some thugs took advantage of this crisis to become owners of iPhones and Blackberry phones ![]() |
Calebosko:You're obviously still poor, because this joke is damn unfunny ![]() |
talktrue1:In the North? LOL. Some of you are really desperate for civil war. |
