ammyluv2002:You've got to be kidding me. There are literally thousands of Nigerian evangelicals that screech and scream as their standard Modus Operandi. I know the annoying guy that walks around at 5:30 am preaching loudly with his megaphone considers himself a 'genuine man of God' |
Francon:If you don't see how putting women in the same cell as hardened male criminals will end up in rape, you're dafter than I thought. Though from your words I think you know very well what you were advocating. Also, if you think putting them in the same cell equals a continuation of their relationship, it would appear you have a childishly flawed imagination of how Nigerian prisons are. Putting them in the same cell means they get to share the same cell with maybe 10 other women. |
Francon:What kind of miserable woman are you, that you're openly advocating the violent rape of women, members of your own sex? From where I stand, I see no difference between you and shekau. Both of you seem to take pleasure in the torment of others who do not subscribe to your beliefs. you and the three folks that 'liked' your post are scum. |
arsetalks:The world is much bigger than Nigeria. And there are doctors in Liberia and Sierra Leone that are deliberately putting their lives on the line much more frequently than Dr Adadevoh did. Many doctors lost their lives fighting Ebola. TIME isn't going to put every single one on the cover. This cover and award gives a blanket award on all of them, including Dr Adadevoh |
More appalled at the terrible picture quality. Were these pics taken with a potato? |
That is one damn ugly watch. Not sure why this is front page worthy. 50k for a watch isn't exactly earth shattering. |
The OP is not serious If she were, the first thing she would have done would be to persistently ask her BF why he threw the shirt away and then plan a course of action depending on his answer. Communication is key. Nobody commenting here knows what happens in your house. First step should always be to try to communicate before coming to Nairaland to sound the opinions of the mob ![]() |
tenry:Here's the deal. When you learn how to spell 'feeble' and 'skull', I'll pay you the attention it seems you desperately crave. Deal? Oh, those jibes about money? Let's not go down that route, OK? |
tenry:And if you're not a goat, you'll know that she's one of the few people that's trying to get these girls back. she's mostly over there in Abuja, rallying folks to demand the Government sits up to do the right thing and bring those girls back. Not even the Pastors you'd prefer she hangs around with have done anything near what she has done to try to bring the girls back. Apparently to clowns like you, when someone has a cause, that person has to have zero social life. That person cannot attend events held by their friends. Someone has already been an accomplished minister and is well known to millions of Nigerians and yet you're ranting that she 'wants to get noticed'. If she wanted to be 'noticed' or wanted 'public office', why would she take a position opposed to the Government of the day? Yet you claim you are not brainless! Abeg stop pouring invective on people doing things you don't have the cojones to do. Cheers |
tenry:Oh look, an internet e-curse. How cute ![]() When you grow up, come back and talk. |
tenry:Last time i checked, this woman is one of the few Nigerians still trying to make sure that the Chibok girls do not remain forgotten and they are reunited with their parents. That makes her one of the few living heroes we have in Nigeria, and a good deal more brave, more honorable and more GODLY than your cowardly self who will NEVER achieve anything near what this woman has achieved. What she is doing with the #Bringbackourgirls campaign is a good deal more important than anything she could be doing in the Redeemed Camp. Rubbish |
major466:Why do I have the strange feeling that you're being paid to post this tripe on Nairaland? |
eleojo23:This hypocritical Pastor can not bring himself to say the truth...that the most fervent finger-pointing is coming from the PDP, from the likes of Okupe and Metuh. Even Oritsejafor has long since adopted a modus operandi of blaming Northern Muslims and fostering a climate of religious intolerance. Worst CAN president we've ever had. |
According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened around 9.30 am, and the LASTMA officials supposedly seized and confiscated the phones of passersby who attempted to film the scuffle.Nigerians have been so humiliated and oppressed into cowardice sha. LASTMA have no right to confiscate anybody's phone. In fact, you are well within your right to fight them in self-defence if they try to take your phone. Any Lastma official trying to grab your phone should be treated like an armed robber. Very soon now, even Mr Biggs security guard will start seizing phones from people on the street and they will mumu-ishly concede. |
What Is all this 'we will' and 'we may'? Make it law, make it a guideline and enforce it. It doesn't take Ages to get this done. This is something Stealer Oduah should have put in place. It's a no-brainer. People should not have to land in lagos by 12 midnight because of airline delay and be left to meander home in the dark. |
Of course we're generous. We're the guys that reward bad, kleptocratic leaders with our votes. |
dabigjoe6:Thanks for showing the world how brainless you are. I don't even have to say anything. Cheers ![]() |
Martinsmeshach:Here's a protip that will serve you well when you hunt for your next phone or camera: The Megapixel count is NOT an indication of how good a camera is, compared to another. If water and dust proofing is higher on your list than an all round more powerful performance and screen, go for the Z3. |
Martinsmeshach:Remote play. Means IF you have a PS4 and you can sideload the app from Xda-developers http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/ps4-remote-play-t2929147 Then you should be able to mirror your PS4 games via wifi to your phone for off-TV play. Of course this works seamlessly with the Z3. |
caramel007:Did you register for a Samsung account? You can track the phone with that. Next time you get an Android phone, install Cerberus backup from Google play. If you're rooted and you give the app root access, it can survive even reflashing and will prompt you when anyone puts in another SIM |
sKeetz:Sometimes I hate the lax moderation on Nairaland. Such an offensive comment and yet it's still up, hours after. Seriously sexist point of view to label any girl using a flagship phone as a 'prostitute'. Flagging this to the mods. |
So a rebranded Galaxy Note chinese clone is now the 'indigenous Nigerian phone' that we should support because 'we are Nigerians'? Sometimes I can barely believe some things I read on Nairaland. I'll support phones made in Nigeria. Or even assembled in Nigeria. Not phones wholly made in China with a Nigerian name slapped on it. let's not even dwell on the sheer idiocy of anyone buying an Android 4.2 phone right now. |
Martinsmeshach:Depends on what you want. Note 4 has a bigger and better screen (2k Super-AMOLED vs 1080p IPS LCD) and is more powerful (Snapdragon 805 vs 801). Note 4 has the stylus support and has a better camera (forget the 20 MP megapixel count of the Z3, the Note 4 has perhaps the best phone camera of 2014) Note 4 gives you an entry into VR with the Gear VR add-on. Xperia Z3 has a pretty great battery life. Not sure if it tops the Note 4. If you've got a PS4, you can do remote play on the Z3. Though you can sideload the remote play app from Xda on your Note 4 Note 4 is a massive phone. Z3 is more pocketable. Bottom line is, if you can stomach the size, i'd go with the Note 4. Or perhaps a Nexus 6 if you can find it. Z3 is a great phone too, you can't go too wrong with both |
rhymz:This is conjecture. What is a FACT is that with 806 accredited delegates, 860 votes is just a clear sign that the voting was rigged. And you're there laughing. This is your own country that politicians are destroying...and you're laughing. Shame. |
Why is this dumb article making the front page? Journalist experiences turbulence mid-air and decides to spin it as a fault of the Dana Plane. I can't think of any local carrier that hasn't had cases of air conditioning being sub-optimal before. Especially Arik Air. Lots of things to tackle Dana on, but this is a non-issue, and just an all-round brainless article. Not sure what the emphasis on the age of the aircraft is for. Lots of airplanes remain airworthy even FAR longer than that 20 years. |
AdeniyiA:Shouldn't you weep more for the Nigeria that has been experiencing bad leaders since time immemorial? |
Some of the people sniggering at the 'womanizing' bit practically worship some of their General Overseers that boast about how they were 'in the world' before they got saved. Shebi Kris Okotie was a womanizer before he became a Pastor? |
rosemary1500:I'm not even sure why Samsung came up in this discussion. It's simply a warning from a reputable security agency. Heed it or not, that's your issue. |
michaelbiz:All this long story and absolutely zero susbstance. The entire point of discussion with you was that Tecno is a FAR smaller threat to Samsung than the likes of Xiaomi, Lenovo et al. You disputed that. I proceeded to show you that Samsung is FAR more worried about those other Chinese OEMs that sell more in a week than Tecno sells in a Quarter. You still persist in your ignorance. You don't even seem to realize the inanity in posting articles about Tecno being the market leader in Nigeria. When Blackberry was the market leader in Nigeria, did that prevent them from nearly slipping into bankruptcy? I asked you for any possible reason why you think Samsung could manipulate Lookout Security (valued at > $1bn, 45 million users) and you're posting an article about Samsung's habits of trolling tech blogs? https://i1.wp.com/memecollection.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/black-guy-laughing-on-boat-gif.gif Abeg go and learn and come back to discuss instead of airing your ignorance in public. Nobody is disputing whether Tecno has 'taken over the Nigerian market' or not. In the grand scheme of things, that does as much to Samsung's bottom line as BlackBerry's one-time dominance in Nigeria did when it came to keeping them afloat. |
michaelbiz:The 'whole world'? Yahoo News http://news.yahoo.com/samsung-posts-48-8-drop-q3-net-profit-235147004.html "Samsung is struggling in the Chinese market and it may take a while until the situation improves," said Lee Min-Hee, an analyst at Seoul-based IM Investment and Securities. China's Xiaomi dethroned Samsung as the top smartphone seller in China, with its share rising to 14 percent in the second quarter followed by Samsung's 12 percent, according to estimates by the market research firm Canalys. Techtimes http://www.techtimes.com/articles/19240/20141102/the-fall-of-a-giant-samsung-aiming-to-smartphone-profits-into-gear-with-cheaper-low-end-devices.htm The biggest threat right now to Samsung's dominance in the market place is not Google, Apple, or Microsoft, but the upcoming Chinese powerhouse, Xiaomi. This company from China is still small compared to Samsung, but it is growing fast, and not to mention, Xiaomi is the largest smartphone maker in China. BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-29516806 Samsung's mobile division, its biggest business, has been struggling to maintain its dominance against rivals such as Apple and Chinese smartphone-makers Xiaomi and Lenovo. Samsung still has around 25% of the market, down from 33% a year ago, but a trio of Chinese firms Lenovo, Huawei and Xiaomi have rapidly grabbed a big slice. The Telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/mediatechnologyandtelecoms/electronics/10952864/Samsung-profits-fall-25pc-as-demand-in-China-slows.html Samsung Electronics said operating profit declined to a two-year low in the second quarter, hit by the strong local currency and slowing demand for its smartphones in China. Also, here's a handy chart from the Wall Street Journal in case you have difficulties reading https://si.wsj.net/public/resources/images/MK-CQ442_SAMDRO_16U_20141030174805.jpg I took the pains to post all these to conclusively show everyone you have no idea what you're talking about. Here's a protip for you, little man: When you're in a hole, stop digging!! Waiting for you to post another brainless, drunken post about how all these analysts are wrong and how it's the relatively small number of phones Tecno sells in Nigeria that is responsible for the pinch Samsung is feeling right now. |
jiggar:External attacks are one thing. They can be avoided or warded against. Pre-flashed malware is a whole new beast entirely. From day one, even with all the precautions in the world, you're already in the hole. There's a whole lot of difference. did you really need that pointed out to you? |
