9jaganja: I hope mass effect and splinter cell doesn't come to PS3 they should keep it exclusive. Tom Clancy's games are mediocre anyways I'll rather read the book. The Splinter cell games are anything but mediocre, Tom Clancy's Hawx was a pretty good air combat game, and the Ghost recon series (including advanced warfighter) are splendid! Stop being the worst kind of fanboy there is. Even Kosovo never sunk this low. And i can assure you, a whole lot of PS3 owners would jump at the chance to purchase Mass Effect 2 if it came out on the PS3. |

Gaming › Re: Could This Be The PSP2? Coming Sooner Than Later . . . . by texazzpete(m): 4:46pm On Apr 15, 2010 |
gameaddict: Yeah, sony never said but gaming thrives on experience. I still play snes, gba, n64, ps1 and famicom games on my psp because few things can beat the experience of playing games like mario, no matter where you are. These games ran on consoles that represent the power of hardware and software during their time and did what they represented. The psp represents a new approach to the handheld experience and is targeted at everyone, not only gamers. This is great but first and foremost, it is a gaming device. As a gaming device, does it stand well on it's own with users? NO! It's more of a supporting device for the ps2 and ps3. The games it boasts usually have ps2 and ps3 versions which are usually far better and offer more engaging experience and I'm expected to go crazy about the cheap psp versions. Come to think of it, sony did cause me to believe the psp had the power of the ps2 with their release adverts but games that come close graphically are short as hell. The psp is just a greedy but sucessful attempt to enter the gaming/handheld market. Do you know the sales of other sony departments dropped because of the psp? For starters, the sales of sony's other mp3 players dropped and people have lost jobs. Why? Lack of foresight? Greed? I'm even sure those fat heads are going to milk every dollar from the gow 3 if it's really the last installment. When sales of god of war begins to drop and the excitement is dying, they'll just port it to other devices. Good business but gamers don't like that. Hope they don't. Why do I even care? I may use their devices but I hate them as hell. They'll pay for messing with Nigeria. Man, this is really, really dumb. The PSP is much much smaller than the PS2, how the heck did you expect it to pump out similar graphics? You're complaining that games on the PSP are less impressive graphically than the versions on the PSP. The whole point of a handheld console is its portability. When was the last time you put a PS2 in your pocket? The whole point of a Portable gaming system is its portability. Which usually translates to its battery life. So you expected SOny to shove in a version of its 'Emotion Engine' processor along with its PS2 GPU in the PSP, yet expect more than 20 minutes battery life? The Nintendo DS has far inferior graphics than that of the PSP, yet its sold far more. Not everyone is a slave to fancy graphics on a handheld console. I might have forgiven you your poorly thought out rant, if not for the fact that you brainlessly insist that the PSP is the reason for the decline in sales of Sony Mp3 players. Have you never heard of a little thing called the iPod?! As i said, brainless. PS: the XBox 360 has a 3.2 Ghz processor and a powerful ATI GPU. The Sony PS3 has a similarly high end CPU and an Nvidia chip. These chips use over 100 watts of power in normal use, and have big fans to keep 'em cool. How the hell do you expect Sony to shoehorn this class of performance in a small, portable device? |
Career › Re: Ericsson Moves To Sack Nigerian Employees, Hire Indians As Replacement by texazzpete(m): 4:22pm On Apr 15, 2010 |
duduspace: There is a lot of ignorance being spewed out here, like Ajanlekoko pointed out, all this company is doing is to move jobs offshore (there is nothing in that advert that mentions the indians being brought to Nigeria, the jobs are located in India) and this is actually done a lot in the developed world (I lost my job with ebay in Dublin some years back when some IT first level support was moved to Manila) . Someone has basically made a business case for moving all or a part of the NOC services offshore and hard figures must have been used as a basis for this. Most Telecoms firms in the UK and other developed countries have such offshore services and they are mostly located in Asia (India, Malasia, Phillipines e.t.c). The two things the Nigerian government could have done to prevent this (without delving too much into the economics) is to:
1. Make the cost of running the NOC from Nigeria cheaper than moving it to India (ensuring stable power supply is a critical factor) 2. Reduce the cost of labour in the form of wages for these Nigerian employees to bring it in line with what the Indians will be earning.
Direct your anger aright, it is the genaral malaise afflicting Nigeria just manifesting in some other form. Make this country good and all other things shall be added unto it. SIMPLES. Congrats for being the only person using his brains here. This is nothing new: companies like Dell and HP have since moved their customer helpdesk lines and a few other jobs offshore to cut costs. It's nothing racist or anything like that, it's just a cost saving measure. DOn't demonize the company, instead let the Government offer incentives to companies like these to help reduce costs. Perhaps lower taxes and a few exemptions may make them reconsider from a business point of view. |

Alhaji Mutallab,,.The Father As a Leader of Sharia Movement In Nigeria
", Like all of the muslim Northern Nigerian leaders, DR. Mutallab the father of the terrorist who is now shedding crocodile tears because he is one of the leaders who groom the Wahabism in Nigeria. Alhaji Dr. Mutallab the father also groomed Sharia law in Katsina State, Alhaji DR. Mutallab Groom Sharia in Kaduna State,Alhaji Dr. Mutallab groomed Sharia in Kano State, Most of the extremism Ulama in Northern Muslim Nigeria are benefactors of Alhaji Mutallab, Dr. Mutallab groomed extreme Muslim businesses in Saudi Arabia, He has extreme business in Dubai and he has extreme religious business in Yemen and he has business and property in Yemen. Alhaji Mutallab is the owner of the only Islamic Bank in Nigeria, Alhaji Mutallab has ties and interest in almost all the extremist muslim religious groups in Nigeria. He is a top leader of the Sharia movement COUNCIL in Nigeria. This guy is dangerous and he has gotten it hot and thats why he is running from pillar to post because he destroyed Nigeria with his corrupt ways and his muslim jihadist ideas for long time.
Dr. Mutallab the father of the terrorist was just covering his backside because he does not want to loose his investment in the Westen World and he does not want his family to be place on the no fly list as he wants to still enjoy his vacation and western women and western wine and drinks in Engalnd, Europe and America while still using extremism and corruption to maintain their corrupt hold in Nigeria by stealing from their people, thats thats why he reported his son to America, because he and most of the Muslim leaders in Nigeria knows more and they are part of the sponsors of world wide jihadism wahabism from Saudi Arabia, Sudan,Dubai, Yemen, Nigeria etc "
Now this is the same man who is one of the main proponents of Islamic banking in Nigeria.
He has ties to questionable sources and it is evident that there is something fishy going on. So you picked up a poorly written article with wild, unsubstantiated claims from the internet and post it here as Gospel truth and used it to come to a conclusion, yet expect us to take you seriously? |

kosovo: As it stands, Nintendo has come out on top with the Nintendo Wii in this generation of game consoles so far. But ask most gamers and they'll tell you that the console is far from a "hardcore" gaming machine. It's no surprise really considering the Wii is little more than a Gamecube with motion-controls.
Nintendo Wii 2 Sure it's packed in a pretty white case, but internet aspect in place is primarily in place for micro-transactions rather than online gameplay. I fail to understand how the Wii's graphical prowess determines its status as a 'hardcore gaming machine'. And while most gamers will tell you it isn't a hardcore gaming machine, most gamers don't WANT a hardcore gaming machine. Ever stopped to think of that? People see PS3 and Xbox 360 demos in game shops right next to Wii demo stations. Yet most of them walk away with the Wii. You know why? Fun. And accessibility. kosovo: It's highly unlikely considering the large foot print that the Xbox brand now has in the US. Add to that North America's recent trend of falling in love with the Playstation brand all over again and Nintendo would have to invest a lot in the next home console and that's just something they're not going to do. I can't see any recent American trend of falling in love with the Playstation brand. Even after the price cuts, it still sells way below the Wii, the PSP sells way below the DS and the 360 routinely outsells the PS3 in the North American market. Add to that the lower-than-xbox-360 software attach rate (suggesting that many purchasers are using their PS3 consoles purely as BluRay players) and you start to wonder where your stats come from. I wonder how you know Nintendo isn't going to invest a lot in the next home console? You got a time machine handy? kosovo: Nintendo has for years taken the consumer for granted and on many occassions made it clear that their stance is that the consumer will buy what they make, when business always teaches that you make what the consumer wants to buy.
Nintendo faces a lot of problems if they want to compete with another home console. First off Microsoft’s Xbox 360 seems to be running it’s course in terms of the console’s life-cycle. We can likely expect another high-end console from MS announced within two years. That possibility alone stomps out everyone except early adopters of the Wii. kosovo: As it stands, Nintendo has come out on top with the Nintendo Wii in this generation of game consoles so far. It can be argued that Nintendo is the only one out of the three to actually cater for the most consumers, by providing a fun and easily accessible gaming platform. All the hardcore gamers you know are only a fraction of the people who are interested in gaming. nintendo went after this new demographic, and they won. Simple as that. I don't think anyone can argue that the Wii isn't good business. So shove your lame business theories up your backside and enter the real world. kosovo: As it stands, Nintendo has come out on top with the Nintendo Wii in this generation of game consoles so far. It is easily able to compete favourably with the PS3, and can last just as long. kosovo: Then you have Sony’s upcoming Move for the PS3. This new add-on of functionality basically makes the Nintendo Wii pointless and inferior in every respect. Gamer’s will have an HD high-end machine with all the options of the Wii sans Mario and Zelda.
What this all boils down to is that Nintendo will likely end up being a handheld company only by 2014. Microsoft’s next console will squash any chance the Wii 2 has of getting in homes thanks to the Playstation Move driving gamers away from Nintendo’s current home console starting this Fall. That's what you don't get. Most of the people buying the Wii have no interest in HD or all the cutting edge tech stuffed into the PS3. At the end of the day, a new Mario game will always sell far more than any littleBigplanet or ModNation type game on the PS3, despite superior visuals. The failure of PS Home has proven that it Sony just doesn't get it. All that money spent, all that dev time and yet people aren't all that into it. PS Home was meant to crush Nintendo's Mii feature. See how well that turned out |
