The eyetoy could do basic motion tracking - just like any decent webcam can do with the right software installed. Google for motion sensing webcam games, you'll see plenty.

The eyetoy was built for Sony by Logitech, and with the right drivers installed it can and has been used as a standard Windows webcam.

The wii remote and nunchuck have accelerometer, optical and acceleration sensors allowing the device to be used as a precise pointing tool and able to track movement in three dimensions. It is a far more ambitious concept for wireless, non-traditional control than using the original Eyetoy.

Natal needs total redesign of Games and can't work with existing tittles,  thats where Natal would also fail, Only 3 Ist Party studios can't save Natal. How many publishers would like to spend resources and put on only NATAL?, when two similar Motion tech are available in the market with great install base.

Meanwhile  Sony is targeting both Casuals and Hardcore with the move, The Move can easily be patched with existing tittles. with Dedicated 21 1st and 2nd Party studios supporting it, Failure isn't an option. Third party dev/publishers are also interested, Lord of the rings which was already slated for the wii is now Coming to the PS3. . .


Sony has tried Motion camera only with the eye toy and have equally tried Motion control only with the sixaxis, they found out they can't work independently . . that's why Move uses both the Playstation Eye and the Motion control. I need triggers, I can be running around thinking my fingers is a GUN. nuts.

Everything Natal can do the Playstation eye can Do except that Natal is 3D, an maybe a little more. . bUT  but,  Natal just got one of or it's processor removed. . . and it eats 30% of the 360 cpu, thats means expect more mediocre games. .

Here you go to  the video to show you playstation started the whole motion sensing thing. The video was uploaded in 2006 and the game came out long before that!! And it was on PS2. Makes me wonder when you started playing games.

I have a PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 all connected to my HDTV. Plus a surge protector and a power strip box. then HiTV and DSTV boxes and a home theater.

I don't have to tell you the jungle of wires and chargers and power cables around the back of the TV despite my best cable management tricks. Adding a UPS to that mix is not an appealing act

The surge protector does my protection for now - i bought it myself in the UK so i know say no be aba made

Set your xbox horizontally on the floor not vertically. The only risk of scratching is when the console is vertical.

There were no tech demos for the Move before the Wii came out - it didn't exist.
The only rip-ff artists are Sony - sticking the original motion sensor in the SIXAXIS controller to ape the Wii's controls.

Just got my copy of God of War III yesterday, haven't played it yet, though. My PS3 requires a firmware update, and there's no way i'm doing that on NEPA. If dem take light during the update, bye bye PS3

As for doubling sales, i see no evidence of that. The Xbox 360 handily outsold the PS3 in the North American market by over 100K units.

dude i used that thing on a 4gb ram laptop 1 week after it was out, the lowest it did was 740 mb on the ram. with two, three heavy apps, 1.4 gb.

its like 3 times more efficient than vista, but not that much of a slouch. 1 gb rams are for xp & co. anything from vista upwards, min 2gb is ideal

It uses up your available RAM. if you have 4GB, it'll intelligently load up your apps into RAM to improve speed.

You can easily run windows 7 on 1GB RAM on a netbook - works decently!
