That's not what the video shows. The iPhone is clearly faster in most operations, with the few 'wins' on the Note 8 for apps with different codebases ie Pinterest and Twitter.

What the video does show is that in any sort of demanding app, the iPhone 8 crushes the Note 8. Benchmarking, gaming, video or song editing etc.

Stop misrepresenting facts. In real life the iPhone will perform the same tasks quicker than the Note. And Camera wise, the iPhone outclasses the Note 8

The comment about design and immersiveness is a moot point since the main competitor for the Note 8 is the iPhone X which has the same chipsets as the iPhone 8 but paired with an immersive display.

The guy made a very valid point..it is easier to build apps and programs for an OS with a limited range of devices like the iPhone..unlike in android because a LOT of different devices run on android os..so one needs to put in more work hours and resources in catering for the various devices running on the OS..it’s common logic for Pete’s sake!

That's not the real reason why, though. Android developer middleware allows devs to write code once and target a lot of devices. Code should run and scale across different chipsets, display sizes etc.

The main reason why developers prefer the appstore is that iPhone owners - on average - tend to purchase more from the store. The appstore is far more profitable for most devs than Google Play.

Of course the gap is narrowing as Android grabs more marketshare, but it's still there.

I can assure you that when you place an iPhone 6 and an S3 side by side, you will not be able to tell which is better..because the OLED screen of the much outdated s3 offers a vibrant display..use both the ip6 and s3 to watch a movie and I bet you you will prefer the S3..now I am talking of real life usage because I’ve owned both phones...I am not a fanboy of Samsung/Android or iPhone/ios...but yes, the ip6 has a better camera.

Sorry, you don't know what you're talking about. The S3 has a drastically inferior display to the iPhone 6/7/8.
Color accuracy, white balance, greyscale, brightness...All these areas the iPhones sport best-in-class performance. I suggest you read a few Display Mate reviews.

Apple has been mediocore in the camera department in recent years. Yes portrait is good but meh to me and HDR was in pixel and Note 7.

They haven't been mediocre by any metric. They just weren't on top of the list for the past 2 years.

As usual from Apple, the current year iPhone is the fastest phone on the market. The lead over Android phones seems much larger this year. Apple's done a killer job indeed with their custom SoC.

The best-in-class camera performance is also a great addition.

There will always be people who grip at iPhones...but in this case it's clear there's significant performance to match the price.
