Youngugoes: Osinbanjo is part of those people that has made educated politicians in this country look dumb because he doesn't want to step on toes or loose his seat as a vice president, by now everybody expects an acting President with his educated qualities to take a drastic moves or even makes speeches that shows no one detects for him..... but he is just there like a figure head while the country sinks.
Get real. Osibanjo has limited power. Hes actually making some decent moves.
wintersnow: Why's she asking unnecessary questions? She obviously knows he's the taxify guy, she should have just entered the car, considering the fact that she has already wasted his time.... She doesn't expect him to smile naw haba! This is Nigeria for Christ sake, no one is fxking smiling!
Your problems are many, but a lack of common sense is key among them. She did the right thing. Why would you expect a lady to just enter a car like that without confirming, especially when she says that the color of the car did not match the driver's description?
But you're right about one thing. This is Nigeria. And here, victim blaming by ignorant people is the norm.
Such a pity. The location is pretty much perfect...moving them out to the outskirts of Lagos will pretty much cripple the market.
I'm pretty sure this is aimed at freeing up that prime real estate for private individuals. Don't be surprised if that land gets turned into estates for the affluent.
kidap: Chidiebere and Chidinma Aneke popularly known as Aneke Twins are popular faces in Nollywood movies who are endowed with chocolate skin and rolling eyeballs.
You actually typed this part in bold with a straight face? WTF are 'rolling eyeballs'?
Sunnyja: What are we still inviting the Israelis for after technically defeating boko boys and degrading them to the point of lacking capacity to lunch any formidable attack and holding territories. Confused people with a confused government living in a confused country.
Of all the people who have posted here today, you're by far the most confused.
Are you genuinely asking why special forces units are being trained? You think other countries only train soldiers or buy equipment during wars? Whether or not BH is irreparably degraded, you think the spectre of a fresh wave of terrorist attacks is not still in everyone's mind?
aolawale025: GEJ did same thing and was heavily criticised by APC. If the arrangement was sustained since then, boko haram might have been history
You people are daft Sha.
This is what people asked GEJ to do. Train Nigerian troops to have the capability to fight BH. The included bringing in assistance from foreign nations in terms of training and logistics support.
But instead the man engaged mercenaries to fight Boko Haram directly. An entirely unsustainable venture.
If you think engaging foreign specialists as trainers is the same as directly paying private military contractors huge sums to fight our wars, you're desperately in need of remedial education.
kingdenny: The truth is no matter what efe sings, haters wil still hate. Whether he sings like Michael Jackson or r Kelly. But the fact is haters are a lubricant in life that makes your engine efficient. Without them life is incomplete
Unfortunately, there are also sycophants that deceive people by calling constructive criticism 'hating' delivered by 'haters'.
Reference: Oga. Economies go up and down. We judge regimes and adminitrations by the establishment and strengthening of institutions. Institutions are the difference between developed and under developed countries. Ask those who are on the outside looking in why they don't want Nigeria. No1. The rule of law. And this is what dictatorships destroy immediately they asume power. It is the rule of law that removed Jonathan, it is the rule of law that OBJ wanted to subvert in his typical dictatorial tendency and if not for the much villified NA we will not even be talking about the APC or Buhari today. Economy is secondary. If this regime can improve the rule of law and support all ancillary institutions that uphold it then it will succeed. You should ask how well it is going about that.
Let me clarify.
It's funny you mention 'institutions' here. A huge reason why we are in these dire straits is due to the failure of the past few administrations to sufficiently strengthen institutions or invest in sustainable infrastructure. We saw a retrogression in the fight against corruption in the past administration, and the shameful squandering of a golden opportunity to use the boom in oil revenue to significantly improve our power generation and crude refining capabilities has ensured this country continues to struggle.
My initial post was to point out the hypocrisy of those who seek to prevent any discussion around recent history yet are happy to reach as far back as 1983 to sell their point.
Reference: If this regime can improve the rule of law and support all ancillary institutions that uphold it then it will succeed. You should ask how well it is going about that.
I don't need to ask. This administration is doing terrible in most aspects, and it is my hope that the APC also receives a rude shock in 2019, similar to that the PDP received in 2015. You see, one can criticize BOTH the GEJ/PDP era and the Buhari/APC era at the same time. Not everyone here is all about 'APC vs PDP'.
I strongly disagree that all an administration has to do is 'improve the rule of law'. There a a myriad of other areas that are equally as pressing. And no, the Economy isn't secondary.
Funny. If you mention GEJ's poor administration now as being a massive cause of the current economic issues we face, many of those ejaculating nonsense here will whine that we should stop looking backwards. Yet they Find it easy to go back to 1983 to blame Buhari for issues of today.
remi1444: ahhh for typing the emboldened am sincerely sorry sir...you lie , so after they graduate from S.SCH do they get employed automatically? abeg jhor, most kids that attend schools as such are either sons, daughters, cousins, nieces etc of pen thieves(politicians) I attended a community secondary school that a term fee can buy just two plate of fried rice and chicken but fact is it made me strong I CAN FACE THE WORST
It also made you ignorant.
Frankly, Buhari cannot put his child in Loyola unless that child passes the highly contested entrance exams and interview. Every single child there is there on merit.
of course some children of the rich are best placed to enter there due to the high quality of education they almost certainly had received at the nursery and primary level...but tons of others get in there too.
Fyno: I was following FFK when he was a critic of Gej govt,he never said he was diabolic, he was attacking the govt then with facts that I loved him. Listen to FFK and you'll learn a lot
GEJ never engaged FFK personally.
Like I said earlier, this is his standard response when he engages people he has personal beef with.
There is nothing good any sensible person can learn from FFK.
This dudes knows themselves and one way or the other all have skeletons in their closet. Rocha's is diabolical, a devil or didn't you hear when a spirit slapped him at govt Hux and he was taken to a stronger spirit for cleansing.
Like or hate him FFK is a stand up Guy,he knows Rochas well more than you.
Next time learn to attack the message than the messenger.
So you don't know that the standard FFK attack on any of his critics is to accuse them of Satanism and Sodomy?
Randyhot: And yet tony is far richer and famous than most if not their entire generations put together!!
Source?
Randyhot: Stupid fools!! Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well..if its looking like a mad man or whatever keeps fetching him the money and recognitions then let him take the mad looks to a whole new level..
It seems to be fetching him widespread ridicule and only sporadic praise from sycophants such as yourself.
