The man named Emeka Nonso was said to be working beneath the car when the incident occurred.

He was rushed to the Hospital where he gave up the ghost..

According to reports, Until his death he was married, and was expecting his first child with his wife before his premature death.

In the direst of times, the Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) would persistently raise morale, boost confidence and steer attention to the bright side of any situation or condition that the believers would find themselves in. Sahl b. al Hanthalia reports:

“We travelled with the Messenger of Allāh (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) and we journeyed for a long time until the evening came. I attended the prayer along with the Messenger of Allāh (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam). A horseman came and said: Messenger of Allāh, I went before you and climbed a certain mountain where I saw that Hawazin had gathered all together with their women, cattle, and sheep, having gathered at Hunayn!!”

This, of course, is nothing less than harrowing news. But how would the Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) respond?

The Messenger of Allāh (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) smiled and said: “That will be the booty of the Muslims tomorrow if Allāh wills.”[1]

And he (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) would exclaim:

“If the enemy attacks you at night, let your war cry be ‘Ha-Mim. They will not be helped!”[2]

In fact, as the Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) would walk the streets of Mecca, inviting to Islām, the pagans would hurl at him the most vile of insults, one of which included “Oh Mudhammam” (meaning the despised one) as opposed to Muḥammadan (the praised one). Did this burst his enthusiasm and weaken his morale? Not for one moment, for the shades of pessimism never covered his eyes. Upon hearing their spiteful words, he would say to his companions:

“Does it not astonish you how Allāh protects me from the Quraish’s abusing and cursing?! They abuse a man called Mudhammam and curse Mudhammam while I am Muḥammad.”[3]


It does not stop there. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbbas reports that the prophet went to visit a Bedouin who was ill and bed-bound. Rather than lament at his condition, or create for him a sense of despair, he uttered such beautiful words of hope:

“Do not worry, this will cleanse you from your sins if Allāh wills.”

But the response of the Bedouin was incredibly negative. He said:


“Cleans me from my sins?! No, it is a fever that is boiling an old man and will lead him to his grave!”

The Prophet then said:

“Then in that case, yes, it will.”[4]

By the evening of the next day, he was found dead.[5]

As far as the Bedouin was concerned, his fever was causing him nothing but pain and anguish, but the Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) wisely covered the dark side of his suffering and showed him instead the bright side of it, for this will purify sins and raise ranks in Paradise! The Bedouin insisted however on negativity and thus he reaped what he desired.

In another narration the Prophet is reported to have said:

“Do not curse fever for it expiates ones sins just as the furnace removes the impurities of iron.”[6]

Amazingly, the Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) would even go as far as changing names for the purpose of upholding optimism! Upon immigrating to Madīnah he would change its name for it was previously known as ‘Yathrib’, a term related to ‘at Tathreeb’ which means to reprimand or to blame. He changed it to Taaba or Tayba meaning ‘that which is good’.

Also, the Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) once inquired about the name of a particular girl, they said she is: ‘Aasia (preceded with an ʿayn, which means sinner!), so he said: “you are (now) Jameela.”[7] which means the beautiful one.

Similarly, Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab reported that his grandfather went to the Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam). On receiving him, the Prophet asked, “What is your name?” He replied, “Hazn (rough)”. The Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) said, “You are Saḥl (ease).” He said, “I will not change a name which my father gave me.” Ibn al-Musayyab (his son) thus concludes, “So roughness (Huzunah) remained with us until today!”[8]

The family of Cristiano Ronaldo have launched a campaign to get justice for the Juventus player who is currently facing allegation of rape.

Ronaldo is being accused by Kathryn Mayorga of raping her when they met in Las Vegas in 2009. She also claims to have been paid a sum of money by the footballer to keep the incident secret.

Eid-el-Kabir: Gov. Ugwuanyi at Mosque, urges special prayers for President, VP, others

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State on Tuesday joined the Muslim community in Enugu at the Central Mosque, Owerri Road, to celebrate the feast of Eid-el-Kabir, calling for special prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and other leaders in the country.

Gov. Ugwuanyi, who was warmly received amid jubilation by Muslim faithful in the state, including the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Danmallam Mohammed; the State Director, Department of Security Services (DSS); and Sarkin Hausawa, Alhaji Abukakar Yusuf Sambo, among others, felicitated with them and also called for a special prayer for Enugu State.

The governor expressed delight at the existing peace in Enugu State, which he said was responsible for the security of lives and property in the state, noting that “this has brought development”.

“As you celebrate in this season of sacrifice, may we all continue to see one another as brothers and sisters for the good of our dear state and our dear country Nigeria”, he added.

The Muslims, who appreciated the presence of Gov. Ugwuanyi at the Mosque to celebrate with them also prayed for him and his administration for the guidance, peace, protection and blessings of Allah. The jubilant Muslim faithful equally commended the governor for the “marvelous” work he is doing in the state and reiterated their firm support for him in 2019 and beyond.

Speaking, the Sarkin Hausawa, Enugu State, Alhaji Sambo added that the feast of Eid-el-Kabir, “which is the Eid of sacrifice”, equally offered them the opportunity to celebrate the governor, saying: “we are also celebrating you because we have seen the significance of today in you”.

Alhaji Sambo disclosed that Gov. Ugwuanyi has demonstrated love and a style of leadership that promotes “unity, togetherness and love for both religions”, maintaining that the governor is “indeed a great man”, who has visited the Mosque on several occasions to identify with them.

According to the Sarkin Hausawa, “We the Muslim community in Enugu State assure you that you have our loyalty; you have our support; you have our prayers because you are indeed a friend of Muslims”.

The Muslim leader thanked the governor for the Sallah gifts he gave to the community, restating: “May your days be long. We are looking not only ahead of 2019; Muslims in Enugu State are looking beyond. Your good work is everywhere”.

Also speaking, the leader of the Yoruba Muslim community in the state, Alhaji Abdulazizi Adebayo, while describing Gov. Ugwuanyi as “a security manager”, compared his cordial relationship with the Muslims to that of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, saying: “You are doing like Awolowo” who was “not a Muslim but was a friend of Muslims”.

In his brief remark, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed noted that the governor’s presence at Mosque to rejoice with Muslims was sign of “quality leadership”, stressing that, “Though a Christian but he decided to join the Muslims on our Sallah day”.

His words: “His Excellency is a great leader and we will continue to support him to make sure that the good people of Enugu State sleep with their two eyes closed.

“As the Yoruba Chief Imman said, he is a security manager. He is beyond a security manager. Truly, he gives us the maximum support we need to operate effectively. We are assuring you that we will not fail you and the good people of Enugu State”.

The climax of the event was the presentation of a ram to the governor to celebrate the feast as a friend of Muslims. #amokelouis

A man who died after he intentionally crashed a plane into his own home is believed to have done it in a deranged bid to kill his wife, police said.


Duane Youd, from Payson in the US state of Utah, carried out the astonishing attack just hours after he had been arrested for assaulting his wife,The Sun reports.


His partner and a child, who were in the home at the time of the attack, managed to escape despite the front part the two-storey house being engulfed in flames, Police Sergeant Noemi Sandoval said.

The wife of a Utah man who flew a small plane into their home has said she will 'never understand' what was going through her husband's head at the time of the deadly crash.



Sandy Youd and her adult son managed to escape the flames that engulfed their family home in Payson, Utah, killing her husband Duane 'Rhedd' Youd, 47, on Monday.


Sandy spoke out about the shocking crash on Thursday, revealing that she is still searching for answers as to why the 'fantastic' father would intentionally crash into the home, knowing that his wife and child were inside.'I don't know what was in his head,' she told the Deseret News.


'I don't understand why and I never will.'Sandy described her husband's actions as 'completely unexpected', telling local media: 'I just want people to know what a fantastic guy that Rhedd was.'
