You have no right to slap any female personality. It doesn't make sense. You could have gotten your answer without slapping her. Learn to control your anger going forward. Sorry for the heart break.
BusinessRe: What They Never Told Us About Working Hard In This Present Age by TheEminentLaity: 10:46am On Oct 19, 2017
You put in a good word brother. To add, all failure is failure to adapt. People who complain a lot are those struggling to adapt. In Nigeria, different rules apply...ways to network, look for jobs, get appointments etc The problem is that we learn western methods through books.

Bill Gates or Zuckerberg example does not and cannot apply in Nigeria, not yet at least. So study Bill Gates all you want, you're not going to thrive in the Nigerian environment and then one starts complaining.

majekdom2:
You are mixing things up because you didn't think deep and perhaps thought success will fall on you from the moon like that. There is no single lie in what they told you. Having connections and a network of people is all part of the "hardwork" and working smart! How easy is it to connect with someone... do you just make friends, yes you can make friends easily with riffs but not easily with individuals you will benefit from. It's a whole lot of hardwork connecting with the right people to help in your career or business. Point is, life isn't a easy or a bed of roses like many see it. Whilst some people believe in luck.. check well, they were prepared for that opportunity plus their hardwork. In my little experience with life, I found out many youth are unprepared, lack information and the network to possibly help them. In my own experience, I didn't even have someone to tell me about life neither was I smart about learning about the experiences of people around me, so, I had to learn from my own mistakes and experiences. Which someway, keeps one on the slow lane. At the moment, that is past, I have learnt to take a cue from the experiences of people around me and also, be always prepared and informed. So yes, whatever you were told is the simple truth!
PoliticsRe: Ibe Kachikwu Exposes Maikanti Baru Through His Letter To Buhari (Pictured) by TheEminentLaity: 9:28am On Oct 04, 2017
Always go through what you read so you don't sound like an id!ot in your writing. Didn't you read that Ibe is also Chairman of the board and that due process mandates all contracts, as is done in other ministries, go through the board?

TonyeBarcanista:
Honestly, I don't know why Ibe Kachukwu is crying...

1. In his letter he sound so insecure like he is in superiority contest with GMD Baru

2. He seem to forget that he is the Minister of State for Petroleum resources and not the Minister of Petroleum resources, hence, any approval the GMD got from Buhari (the minister) subsist and NOBODY owe him any explanation concerning the decision of the boss at the top.

3. I'd have loved that he cite sections of procedures/rules that mandates contracts above $20m MUST be passed through the NNPC board before it is implemented. From the traditions of NNPC, the minister is usually the final appending authority... If, however, that is the case, then this is a serious indictment on both the GMD and the Government.

4. As for appointment, as unfortunate as it may sound, once the Petroleum Minister approves it, it becomes valid with or without the input of minister of State.

Let me for the record state that the office of Minister of State is more or less minister without portfolio because you can easily be sidelined... I'd have preferred Kachukwu to prefer remaining as GMD than the "promotion" to Minister of State when in reality he is at the mercies of the Substantive minister (in his case the president) and nobody will really fear much.

SOLUTION
There is nothing anyone can do about this, not even President Buhari. NNPC is a cash cow and Baru is the GMD and Buhari is the Minister.

I am sure Kachukwu is not expecting Buhari to query or sack his kinsman?

BTW Did I read that they refused to allow Kachukwu get appointment with Buhari? Naija wahala plenty o

EducationRe: Where Are Our First-class Graduates And Professors? by TheEminentLaity: 11:50pm On Oct 02, 2017
Rapmoney:
... it reminds me of how our aunties and uncles used to hand us many sweets, biscuits and gums during their children's birthday parties in the early 80's. To be sincere, I've met some first-class graduates from these schools who didn't even know the main difference between a university and a polytecnic. They couldn't impress me!

... Don't we have so-called professors in government? What is their significance?
Who are you, again? Please remind us.

You could have simply asked the question without the nonsense you wrote in-between.

What's derogatory about what she said? don't forget she said '...on a lighter note...' before she started talking all that. Why don't you mention what is derogatory about what she joked about? Don't our brothers have big d!cks, generally even Lukaku fans made up a chant about his big schlong and he took no offense because they obviously mean well.

The world is getting too sensitive jaare

EducationRe: See The Buildings Of Uhonmora Secondary Commercial School In Edo State (photos) by TheEminentLaity: 10:00am On Sep 23, 2017
Doesn't the school have any alumni? It seems it's only useless churches Nigerians donate money to. Who do they expect to sweep the junk room for them? Was it the local government chairman that dumped refuse there? can't the principal write letters and organise for fund raising? Or he's busy sowing seeds expecting God to change his school?

At this point, I am fulfilled when I say the people deserve every measure of governing and infrastructure they get. Nonsense!
PoliticsRe: Stop Adding To Our Problems, Give Us A Little Respect - Soldier Warns Nigerians by TheEminentLaity: 12:36pm On Sep 22, 2017
The issue here, I recall, is not about the military not being a brotherhood or sticking out for each other. It is that you guys, especially the Nigerian Army soldiers, have zero respect for human beings that are not in camouflage uniforms. The guy/soldier/cadet you quoted knows the obvious and saw everything wrong with the status quo.

You guys cannot defeat any army in the west but even those one respect people and as a result garner so much love and respect in return from their citizens. Other soldiers in African countries also do not behave like you guys... So it is not about leaving your brother to hang dry in public, it is the obvious that we talked about.

I remember I told the cadet/soldier in question that although he cannot do much now, as he rises above in rank, he can change the paradigm of his surbodinates.
Also, you talk about war, which is more likely in your time in service: - that you encounter civilians or that you experience war?

greatbrian:
Just saw ur mention. Its not about boy cult, its about the man next to u. The guy I quoted is not cadet. Is just a wannabe. I did my spade work, and I realised it.

Now lemme tell u dz. A times when I comment here is not as if I dnt know whatz right, but the military to me is one body. U dnt know who z gonna HV ur back when war calls. And u dnt point fingers. And talking of one body that means when one part go astray the other follows. Sorry for the long epistle just wanna clarify things. I remembered when I was a clown during plumming break a coursemates of mine a lady though went to coz chaos somewhere and the thing went viral thanks to social media. Even though immediately after the resumption d particular girl was on hospital admission still we are coursemates who didn't even know what happened suffered for a week just for her sins.

I hope u understand me. Am not a supporter of human right abuse. But whatever the case maybe u dnt cast ur broda in public. I remember my arty man once causing a chaos with police he was wrong buh I had to support him and maintain he was right. Although while we were together I. Rebuked him. The military to me is a brotherhood no one except those in it understands.
