APL will be out SOON as the GMD said.. but before then, let me drop an info I learnt about recently from my HR Source.. it has nothing to do with the release but rather with a very weird method applied in correcting the first list..

She claimed that a first list was submitted sometime in October but it was met with disapproval from Top Guns in government causing the initial delays and rancours.. mostly because it was claimed to favour more of the west and south and not enough of the north... According to her, on that day she informed us that the GMD called a very short emergency meeting after the Quiz Event, it was resolved that the list should be modified after which online documentation should follow..

.. she said they (HR DEPARTMENT) consequently proceeded to remove some names from some states in order to balance it by adding some names in order states.. NOW the weird gist is, CAN u imagine the method they applied in choosing the new names that were added... she said that in order to be fast with the selection and to make it fair, they logged into the dashboards of the candidates with high scores that were not selected before, then they checked the number of times each candidate had logged in since the interview and the regularity with which they logged in and from there, they selected over hundreds of new names based purely on how often they frequented their dashboard. when my boss asked her why,, she said since the candidates in question all had the necessary high score, they couldn't pick all, they needed a particular number and so it was down to luck... and for the method, she said the logic was that those who were continually checking their dashboard showed that they were really interested in the job and were eager to know if their status had changed but those who didn't log in oftenly might not care much bout the job..

mehn, I was shocked dat day.. that is how many of us here would be called by luck.. from dat day, I began to believe more in prayers ... people who were not in the original list, see how Fate turned tins around for their favour...... just with a weird reason of logging in to ur dashboard oftenly.. that's it... we wait.

i just love nairaland, exactly what i'm passing through right now am fade up i dont know what to do any longer, i have talk and talk and complain but it all fell on deaf ears as she dont feel disturb not calling/chatting with me the whole day. i love her and i still find it difficult to call it quit. am tired

Can we just turn this thread to other than NNPC speculations? These are just speculations. As much as been hopeful we must be realistic knowing fully well not all will make it.
I only pity those of us who think they are beyond rejection in the his recruitment and fail to make other good plans.
Personally taking the idea step of not giving a f*** about what I can't control. Pray and hope but not tire my life success to it.

So everthing boils back to the GMD, I wonder if 5 months is not enough to sort out the internal issues. It appears that the corporation and GMD are slow, inefficient and not affirmative to conclude this recruitment.

If by next week, the APL does not show, it would really question his previous and overhyped "soon" statement. It gave a lot of hope but is now looking so vague and inconclusive.

I pray the dream of Macgyver1 and "next week proponents" like Klassd become reality sha.

I vividly remember how I tried to get updates on the status of the court case but some miscreants decided to insult their generations. Well let me leave it there.
However we have been fighting the wrong battle. Things like contract staff, list manipulation, slots giving etc are all nnpc's internal issues which they can resolve expeditiously, but court case is external and they have no control over it. My suggestion is this lets take our concerns to the lawyer who instituted the matter in court and appeal to him to withdraw the case. Nnpc may not do this as they are parties to the suit. But we can persuade the lawyer to withdraw the matter. The greater good he is trying to fight is on our side. We have spent our emotions, finance and time on this risking our lives to write test and attend interviews from all over Nigeria. All these cannot go down the drain. There is however no guarantee that nnpcs next recruitment will bend to whatever he is fighting for because he can never know the criteria for selection. Let's think on this and find ways to reach the lawyer. I strongly believe he either reads this thread or people here know him.

Always read to understand not read to reply. I said earlier that the court case would prevent nnpc from releasing APL publicly as their lawyers know the consequence of such. I also posited that they might decide to circumvent that by recruiting clandestinely as that would stop anyone from raising any alarm about recruitment. Like they say what you don't know can't kill you.

The missing link might just be the wait for passage of 2020 budget tho....it was supposed to be done last week but it has been shifted twice now ...

Meanwhile, I just got some info from someone close to the lawyers representing NNPC in the suit against the matter Rogue Lawyer.. I want to call my connect in the Corporate Compliance dept to confirm same.. Fingers crossed it is true...

How many organization that recruit over a thousand personnel at a go have you seen? Even banks and the likes that recruits in 100s take several months but you want to compare them to a government agency recruiting in 1000s. The process will take him.

I’m not stopping anyone from voicing out in whichever way they want too. All I’m advocating for is they personalize their concerns. They should use ‘I’ in place of ‘we’. At least I didn’t authorize anyone to talk on my behalf.

If you think going on Twitter to rant or whatever is being fearless, I wish you and them luck.

The same inquiry they said they are doing, someone has already done that weeks ago and the response they gave him is what the GMD said “the recruitment will end soon”.

What else do you want to hear?

This is a good news. I was actually informed on Saturday that NNPC won't be able to conclude the process now because of the pending court case. I just chose to be optimistic that NNPC will find a way round it and close the process this year.

To me, this looks more like an attack/accusation.

Only a few can express their dissatisfaction with the process without being emotional.

Except you are exceptionally mature, you would become defensive if someone tries to get pieces of information from you in this manner.

I even saw another guy tagging NNPC in well over five tweets just today only. No now, they wouldn't take you seriously that way.

To be honest, I don't think this Twitter stuff is a cool idea seeing how some have already started handling it.

Thanks chief. Storming social media platforms won't help your plight 1 bit because there are bad eggs everywhere wanting to turn everything on it's head. Just keep calm or send them a mail if you so wish. You weren't the one that told them to proceed with this recruitment exercise

That list cannot be 100% merit. So, it will still remain a "tampered list"....The level of compromise now depends on the personalities of the GMD.

Let's just pray that our names will not be substituted by powers that be...

For those that are source specialist.
1. Are you aware that there was a meeting in Lagos yesterday in respect to releasing of APL
2. Are you aware that nothing is delaying the release of the APL except the GMD himself.
APL would drop this December as another meeting is expecting this coming week to finalize the process.
The group GMD is not happy that some people were able to manipulate some names in the list to be release, but there is nothing he can do about it. i have read from page 1 till this very last page and refused to comment because some won't appreciate it.
Mind you, i am not an applicant but my spouse is, for the EH.
Expect APL in December

It is difficult to manipulate now cause the list is not just with one person. His mission is to have auditors screen out the names that where not supposed/qualified to be there but the process won't be funny. Other board want the names released like that but he is having a second thought. As soon as he gives the go ahead. It's just a click of botton and apl is out
