I'm sure you have raised awareness about this and any potential customer will inspect cautiously. The laptop guy also, I still remember his ID cos he did something like this to his customer and would advise anyone to thread with caution when dealing with him. Same with some posters on auto section. My point is, just salvage whatever you can and if you can get a refund, just get it, let the rest go and move on. All the wahala you have gone through cannot be duly compensated anyway but you have made other buyers aware of this act. 1 Like |

This is one reason I will never enter any shop in CV and buy a UK used phone or whatever. I never pray to even risk being that unlucky. It's brand new anytime I enter CV and even from trusted big shops. These U.K. Used people are all liars. Cos some don't even know what they are selling. They are just looking for the next lucky/unlucky victim, not customer The other day, on this same NL, one said he sells laptops as imported, dumbtalk. The unlucky Buyer got home and discovered laptop doesn't charge beyond a particular percentage/mark. I will advise you just change the phone and move on and NEVER patronize such people again. |

This, perhaps, is the simplest comparison i have come across on Nairaland. You are comparing a bigger and smaller car, same model year, different class, different sizes, same maker. Every device gets hot when it's in use. Most gadgets get really hot under heavy processor usage. You are playing game and you don't want your iPad to get hot? Why? Doesn't your engine get hot when you are driving? Don't fret, don't panic. It won't explode. |

Oga have you bought any of these cars or you are still waiting for reviews? The GS looks heavier and more solid though I think Acura would be cheaper to purchase and more expensive to maintain. Just My thoughts. |

You see, I don't know and I am not sure about other brands but MAINT REQD light will never come up on a TOYOTA as a result of wrong oil. It has to do with mileage of servicing and should be reset at every service. Check Engine and other lights may pop up but this particular MAINT REQD in a TOYOTA has nothing to do with type of oil. That's what most people here are tying to point out to you. But it seems you care more more about being right than corrected. |

Same as my Camry whenever I reset it. I used google as guide though. It's pretty easy. Also, note that even if you service your car at 4,000 miles, and you don't reset it, it will still come up after the remaining 1000 miles out of the 5k if it wasn't reset. @ OP, let me tell you a story. In 2012 when I was still a youth corper, I used to escape to Lagos a lot from serving town, osogbo in osun state to enjoy my gidi life as a proper Lagos boy. Our CDs used to be on Thursdays so whenever I run to Lagos on weekends, I usually just leave Thursday morning so I can make it to my CDS meeting latest by 9. Now note, I have never missed my meeting or gotten there late despite leaving Thursday mornings. I start my journey around 5:30/40 and I make it down before 9. I used to drive a well maintained Camry 2.2 aka Diamond and My car was living the life. Now on this thursday, I had gotten to Iwo road around 8am and I was doing about 140/50 on that stretch, heading towards gbongan. At that speed, it's not speedometer you will fix your eyes on but the road. I looked in my center mirror and I saw AN ANGEL EYES BMW 5 Series GRAN TURISMO coming behind me, it was a 530 or 535i, not so sure. I thought the guy would be with me in bout a min or two or at least make him sweat a little, before I could say jack, dude had breezed past me. I will never forget that day and despite me being a benz person, I actually appreciated BMW that day. That particular car is unique.i doubt any of their other cars could have had the guts to overtake me that way on that day due to our roads and all but dude did it and I never saw him past the next 4 seconds. Vroom, my uncle was gone. Morale of the story is, a car needs a befitting driver. If you overtake one person driving a g63 and/or any turbo engine, you were only being allowed to play or maybe show off. Those stuff under the hood are not your mates. Hope my story will make you chill the next time you see a solid German on the road. And just honk your horn as a show of respect for allowing you pass. 23 Likes 1 Share |

My brother, so because you want to save what will not even be up to 5 litres per day, you will suffer in hot sun, let dust fill your car seats, choke yourself with the toxic fumes from other ill-maintained vehicles, refuse to enjoy the music blasting from your car due to noise pollution from other cars and even road noise(on the expressway), get uncontrollable air dragging your car and sanity with you while speeding, amongst other things? ? ? I don't think it is worth the whole hassle. If your car has a good AC, please use it. Life is too short for all these mediocre stuff. If your car consumes so much fuel with AC on, then have it fixed. 8 Likes |
