2. I think you would need to be specific about the particular religious books and passages from which your ideas regarding heaven or hell come. Also, you would note that the concept may also differ depending on what nation/people it is attached to. For instance, the heaven/hell defined by the Constitution of the United States differs from the concept of Heaven/Hell embraced by, say, Somalia or even Nigeria.

So you did not see all the religious books from the Bible,Koran and the Hadiths I quoted,or you just want to be mischievous as usual?

The Bible and the Koran state the opposite to this. Reference to heaven in particular dot all over the Holy books even if Hell is less clear and ambiguous.



Enoch: Described in Genesis 5:24, Enoch "walked with God; and he was not, for God took him." The Epistle to the Hebrews confirms that he was taken so that he should not see death.
Elijah: In 2 Kings 2:11, Elijah was taken up to heaven in a whirlwind, accompanied by a chariot and horses of fire, while his successor Elisha watched.

Jesus: The New Testament records that after his resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9–11). Unlike Enoch and Elijah, Jesus descended from heaven, died, and then ascended back, a distinction emphasized in John 3:13 where he states, "No one has ascended into heaven, but he who descended from heaven."

Where exactly is the location of heaven and where exactly is the location of hell?
I want us to think very deeply on these questions. Reading the Holy books there are various instances of holy men and angels descending and ascending from and up to heaven. The question is : Where is heaven? Is it in the sky where airplanes have reached or is it in outer space where the recent space ship ArtemisII recently orbited?

The second question is where exactly is hell where it is claimed the devil and his rebellious followers dwell? Is it also near the heavens or deep under the ground?

The religious books tell us that when we do good,our reward is heaven and those who do evil,their reward is in hell. Where are these places located? Are they spiritual places that cannot be seen by human eyes or are they places that can only be seen and located by the dead ones?

All I know is God is love.
All the covenants between God and his creations are about love.
Morality stems from the love of God.

You seriously need to educate and update yourself. The ten commandments you listed from Exodus are not the total and complete Mosaic laws. The Mosaic laws are found in Exodus, Chapters 17, 22,24,and 34. They are also found in Deuteronomy,Chapter 34. Leviticus,Chapter 26. Numbers. The book of Kings as well as the book of Joshua.

These Mosaic laws touch on morality,society,purification,festivals,sacrifice and offerings and how to conduct them,instructions for selection of the priesthood and the tabernacle. Laws on the ark of the Lord. The food laws cover clean and unclean foods. The clothes laws cover allowed and forbidden apparel for the Israelites.

The laws may not have been plagiarised but these laws were certainly influenced by earlier Babylonian civilisation.

Check the title of the thread. This thread is based on the commandments in Exodus and not the entire Mosaic laws. You have still not provided a source that proves these commandments were not from God to Moses and that they were stolen from Babylonian moral laws.

Plagiarism is a strong word,sir. There may have been Babylonian influences on the Mosaic laws but there is certainly no evidence of Plagiarism. If you have such evidence could you please provide a source for this your claim.

Those first four commandments scream about the vanity and ego of the God in question. They scream,ME!ME!! and only ME!!!
Don't you find it incredibly strange that there is no condemnation of a evil vice like slavery in these ten commandments?

I hope you know and understand that once you love your neighbor as you love yourself and do onto your neighbor as you would do unto yourself, you will not enslave them. Some of these laws simply need a thought process. It is not every morality that need to be written down.

Like I said,I find it interesting that an omnipotent God seems so insecure.

God is setting out the basis and terms by which he will love and protect his people.
It is a terms for an agreement. Once you agree to these terms you will come under the broad love and protection of God Almighty. These are very simple moral codes to follow.
The terms set out in the beginning of the ten commandments are a miniscule price to pay to attain eternal life,don't you agree?

Jesus modified these ten commandments into two commandments in the New Testament . Jesus said:
1. Love your God with all your heart
and soul.

2. Love your neighbor as yourself.

This is found in the Gospel of Mathew Chapter 22. Verses 37-39.



Chapter 22.

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.




Does all morality come from the 10 commandments and the subsequent paraphrasing by our Lord Jesus Christ? I sincerely believe it does. The 10 commandments are the basis of all forms of morality and moral justice.
Love God with all your heart and do onto your neighbor as you will have them do onto you.

Nigerians are in love with their oppressors. They adore their religious chains which they regard as ornaments. It just boggles the mind that a rational being will read all the atrocities committed by this so called man of God against young girls in his own church and conclude that any one writing about it has a hidden agenda against religion or the church. This is a man who is an unrepentant serial abuser of young impressionable girls inside his own church thereby committing adultry,sexual abuse with reckless disregard to his marriage vows.

I decided to bump this thread because it is apparent a lot of young people do not know how dangerous a personality Biodun Fatoyinbo is.
A lot of young people love him because they refuse to research into his past. This man is a serial sexual abuser of female members of his church.

This is arrogant ignorance. People worked for 35 years and contributed money towards their pension and gratuity when retired. This is NOT a gift. It is their entitlement. It is their right. It is their due. It is their money. It is totally different from money gifted to athletes or footballers that won a tournament probably lasting a month and were gifted a reward.
These pensioners contributed this money from their salaries. A random politician came into power and saw this money in the government coffers and expended it on something else. Something the money was not meant for such that when these pensioners retired there was no money to pay them. Young people need to enlighten and educate themselves on what the pension rules entail because sooner than later it will be your turn or your relatives turn to retire. Retirement like death comes to everyone.
If goverments at different levels blatantly refuse to pay people their own money until those people are at the point of death then it becomes a vicious circle.
This present government is doing a fair job of clearing up the mess created by past governments. We are discussing the Federal government failure to pay pensioners but there are state governments and local governments that have failed to offset pensions since 1999. These are facts!

I have written here that Paul's letter were written several years before the gospels which were written by nameless persons. It was the early fathers, elders and leaders of the early church that in their infinite wisdom that choose to affix these names to these books. It was by this same wisdom they decided which of the uncountable gospel stories floating around at this period in time made the cut and were included in the Bible.



It is of importance to note that Paul's missives that preceeded these nameless gospels (and I say this because Paul's name is attached to his letters.). Paul NEVER mentions very important points which are reflected in the gospels.
Paul never mentions :

1. The virgin birth ( mentioned in Mathew 1-2/ Luke1-2)

2.Paul never mentions the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist. (Mentioned in Mark.1,Luke3,and John1)

3.Paul never mentions Jesus being tempted by Satan in the wilderness(mentioned in Mathew 4:1-11,and Luke 4:1-13)

4. Paul does not mention the Sermon on the mountain and rarely mentions Jesus' parable and teachings.( mentioned in Mathew 5.

5.Paul never mentions the feeding of 5,000 people, nor Jesus walking on water,nor the raising of dead persons.

6. Paul never mentions any triumphant entry into Jerusalem on a donkey.( mentioned in Mathew 21,Mark 11,Luke 19,and John 19.)

7. Paul never mentions Jesus trial before Pilate.

8. Paul does not mention the empty tomb or the women at the tomb( mentioned in Mark 16:1-8. Mathew 28:1-10,Luke24:1-12,and John 20:1-18)

So where do all these stories included in the gospels and regarded as cornerstones of Christianity come from??

I once asked questions on why Paul never once mentions the virgin birth and Jesus parentage but recieved no answers. Rather I was insulted by people on this forum for the question. I did not even know Paul's letters preceeded the gospels of John,Mathew,John and Luke.
