Christianity EtcRe: Two Creation Stories In The Book Of genesis by TheMadame(op): 10:04am On Jun 20, 2025
Dtruthspeaker:
So as Linda Ikeji, Nairaland, Punch, CNN, Al-Jazeera etc report the same news, therefore they must have copied from someone, does that make sense?
Ancient Babylonian first kingdom existed around the years 1894 to 1595 BC.

How rational human being could equate this time frame and dissemination of information with 2025 of Nairaland and Linda Ikeji or CNN just beats me hollow.

During these times and era few people were literate and messages were written painstakingly by hand.
Nowadays with a click of a button I am submitting this post and you are comparing it to men writing of tablets of stone and cuneiform.
Christianity EtcRe: Two Creation Stories In The Book Of genesis by TheMadame(op): 5:50pm On Jun 19, 2025
Goosethetruth:
These are myths plagiarised from earlier myths from ancient Babylonian Civilisations that existed long before the Bible was cobbled together. The two creation stories in Genesis chapters 1&2 are written by two different writers. If you study the two chapters carefully you notice that the writing style and composure are vastly different. One writer talks about the creation being the work of the Eloihim while the second creation story is credited to Yahweh. These are two different deities in fact the Go's El is a superior God to Yahweh but some how over the course of history the Jews replaced El with Yahweh as the main God of Israel.
My point is that these two creation stories which have their source in ancient Babylon are written bu two different unknown authors. The compiler / editor of the book of Genesis decided in his wisdom to join the two stories in one book as if they are a continuous story.
These are two different stories describing a single event from different perspectives of two different writers.
Once you understand this point the mystery disappears. There are no originals of these Bible stories that are stories that have been translated,copied,re-copied,edited,redacted and mistranslated ad nauseam. These are basically the words and thoughts of humans passed off mischievously as the infallible words of a God for mind control.
Interesting take. Thanks a lot.
My conclusion on this issue two years ago before the fanatics took over and tried to derail the thread was that almost every ancient civilisation has this creation stories in one form or the other because mankind always try to explain their etymology.
So it would not be a strange thing if these oral traditions and myths were copied from each other.

Thank you for your take on the issue and the enlightenment. Appreciated.
PoliticsRe: Dr Paul Ezike On The State Of Insecurity In Lilu,Anambra State. by TheMadame(f): 8:21pm On Jan 22, 2025
Goosethetruth:
Watch the YouTube video made by Dr Paul Ezike on the state of insecurity in his village called Lilu in Anambra State.
In this video he explains how the Lilu village has become a desolate area, completely over run by terrorists and terrorism activity.
He claims all houses in Lilu have been abandoned to these criminals. In fact he states that the traditional ruler of Lilu has abandoned his throne and taken to his heels.
The Anambra State government needs to look into this issue if terrorists can be allowed to sack a whole village and turn it into their camp for terrorist activity and kidnapping.
Members of this forum from this Lilu village need to speak out and if this Dr Paul Ezike is lying they should expose him.

Cc gidgiddy, big koko,Igbopromise, franchasofficia your comments would be appreciated on this burning issue.

What this person has described here sounds like a war zone than a civilised town.
It is sad that Anambra state has prominent citizens who have blatantly refused to speak out against these terrorists and kidnappers. Anambra state is going back to a state of nature: nasty, brutish and cruel. This is a rule by the man with the biggest weapon.
It is nice that it is an Igbo man that is crying out and telling this story. His name will be written in gold unlike others from his tribe who refuse to speak out against these criminals but rather prefer to blame others for this self inflicted immolation.
PoliticsRe: Is It True That Nigerian Custom Charges In Dollars?? by TheMadame(f): 4:17pm On Nov 19, 2024
confusedlady:
The Nigeria customs operate under the auspices of the World customs organisation (WCO) which is the umbrella body for customs in every country of the world.
The duty of the WCO is to ensure that customs duty is fair, consistent and constant in all countries of the world. This is why import invoices or receipts are almost always calculated in dollars.
Once the cost of the goods+ insurance of goods +Freight of goods= also called CIF( cost+insurance +freight) is calculated in dollars the sum total is converted to the local currency(Naira).
Taxes are now calculated in the following sequence of 5%,10%,20%,50% and 100% depending on the item being imported.

Bear in mind that after the import duty tax. Importers will also pay 7% surcharge as well as VAT.

I hope this gives you a bit of clarity.
You are very correct. Many Nigerians are extremely ignorant of how duties and taxes are calculated. Some even ignorantly think that customs arbitrarily manufacture duty.

1. Duty is calculated based on a harmonised tariff book used in the whole of West Africa in order to have uniform tariffs for all goods.
2. Import duty is calculated based on the atrested invoice provided by the importer which is most times calculated in dollars.
3. Customs convert the amount of money on the invoice into Naira and work out a percentage of duty based on the tariff book.
4. Importers have been known to provide forged and manipulated invoices. This is why customs have a valuation unit with a data Base of prices of goods all over the world for each year.
5. If an importer provides a contested invoice value of his goods then the importer, his clearing agent and the goods are refered to the Valuation unit for final arbitration. Valuation unit ruling on value of goods is usually final.

Chai stray bullet.

Abeg no defend me o! You go collect! Just Waka pass.

Meanwhile I still stand by kakaki.

Vehicle has been purchased and will be delivered when title docs are ready.

45m is a lot of money, sadly this has happened and insha obatala it will be sorted soon.

Meanwhile just in case you are yet to insult gazzuzz , don't wait till car arrives.

You sound very glib.
Would you personally be happy if someone collected 45 million Naira from you and promised to deliver a car to you in December but by February ending you still have not received the car?
I need a very honest answer from you.
AutosRe: Kakakiautos - Case Of Fraud by TheMadame(f): 9:05pm On Feb 20, 2024
kowalsky:
Sometime Mid October I contacted KakakiAutos, I think the active handle is lanreg95 to help get a 2017 RX 350 FSport. Had a hard time finding the particular spec I wanted in Nigeria so I considered bringing it in from the US.

First contact, swift replies, smooth talk, the entire shenanigans of a sleazy salesman.
I'd read a review by 222martins or so where he bought a GX, so I was pretty much comfortable with doing business with this mofo.

In the space of two weeks or so I transferred about 45 Million to his account.
I was very particular about getting my car to Nigeria before December because well, I wanted to flex on people during Christmas and also because I have a busy schedule, that time would be the only time I'd have time to fix whatever fixables since this was a Copart Vehicle.
I got assurance that this would be in Nigeria that time.

Since paying for this vehicle all I've got are explanations with no evidences whatsoever.

First off. I got two extra bills one because this dude failed to do the FX conversion day I sent him the money. Second for some allegedly unforeseen issues with the vehicle. These extra bills summed up to millions but Fair enough.

December came by. No car. January, same. This guy kept barraging me with listicles of illogical excuses. Apparently this car has not even shipped.

Now, I understand that things can happen with a deal like this but you know what freaking grinds my gears with this mofo - he speaks too much English.

In his head, he's this suave and sleek business man with contextual professional replies for every situation and it’s so fvcking annoying. So much that I've lost my patience, not so much because this car is not in Nigeria but mainly because people like this need to be brought down from that egotistical pedestal they've placed themselves on.

You can't hang on to someone else’s 45M and be doing lingual gymnastics and rubbing phonee all around your English.

Going forward I will be involving my lawyers and we will see where that ends for both of us.

I contemplated against creating this thread but reading this guy's replies on WhatsApp just sent me off the edge. Such an annoying dimwit, thinks he's so smart and posh, Gosh huh
Good day to you.
Sorry about your unhappy experience.
Please I am only going to say this to you directly and only once.
Keep this thread up and do not take it down or withdraw it. I know they must be applying pressure on you to take your thread down. My sincere advise just keep the thread up to keep up the pressure. This is the only way you can get either your car or your money back.
From my experience of dealing with fraudulent people they will assure you that they will return your money if you take down your thread but I assure you if you take down your thread they will renage and by then you will lose momentum and your car you will not see.
Keep your thread intact. Do not change a word on your title. Also be prepared to involve the appropriate and relevant security agencies into this matter. Escalate the issue through any legal means open to you.
If you bulge to pressure, in the end the car they will give you will not meet your specifications. I know what I am talking about because I have been on Nairaland opposing fraudulent activity for a long time.
Once more I admonish you not to take down or ammend your thread. Escalate legal action. Involve appropriate security agencies. I hope you either get your car or your funds.

YES! But moderately.
That's the import of what you're quoting! smiley
The Bible is a compilation of religious books written under the inspiration of God. The Bible contains God's words and commandments.

Maxinthe house own understanding of these words and commandments of God is to cherry pick which commandments to obey as it suits him and his cohorts. His own understanding of God's words and commandments is to twist and turn God's words and commandments from white to black. His concept of Christianity is to decide which commandments to follow in full or in moderation or to even completely jettison. This kind of Christianity is According to your whims and caprices. I have consistently shown you laws written in the Bible and you have consistently tried to twist these words to suit your JW agenda.

Christian Women should be careful as to how they express themselves.
Their real beauty as believers is not in what they put on rather it's their good manners that really matters.

That's the import of what you're quoting not that faithful women shouldn't braid their hair.

The quotation mentioned several things including jewelries faithful women of ancient times put on jewelries but they don't rely on these things as what makes them beautiful rather they rely on their good manners!
So why is the law in the Bible, which is God's word? Should believers now cherry pick which of God's laws we choose to obey?

Good day.
I have recently read 1st Timothy chapter 2 verses 9-15. People always talk about the fact that this chapter of the Bible admonishes women to be silent in church and learn from their husbands but are silent on the part about women's dressing in particular braided hairstyles. Verse 9 is the verse on which I seek enlightenment.
I only seek knowledge not quarrel or insults please.

1st Timothy chapter 2 verses 9-15.

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
