Some people are just heartless, that's all i can say.

I posted that old thread to let people know that pre-ordering of vehicles is also dangerous if you fall into the hands of a fraudulent dealer. There are lots of other threads of stories that touch the heart. Once again here it is,a whole nine million Naira up in smoke.

Don't even know what to say again.

You will/must find something to say because you are one of the most cerebal posters on this forum. By the way I really enjoy your threads. Please keep up the good work.

Lol....If you search through the section, or check some guys posts on this thread, you will see them.

I didn't create the thread to paint anyone, but just want bring to the notice of everyone willing to own a car.

They should be careful and run a VIN check before buying any car.

Lalasticlala what do you think?

I want to commend everyone who has contributed positively on this thread. A stitch in time saves nine, however if you expect this on the front page, you are on a long thing.
The Auto section is plagued with all kinds of maladies and it did not start today or this year. Half truths, false documentation, fraudulent adverts, fake customs documents, and shifty characters abound.
I stopped posting here when it became a process of banging your head on a brick wall and I wouldn't have known of this thread if a poster hadn't tagged my moniker.
The government has banned the importation of vehicles through the land borders and the customs have closed down all vehicle seats at the borders yet on this section we still find dealers advertising vehicles from Coutonu through Idi Iroko and Seme borders boldly. These vehicles can NEVER have genuine documents, yet people patronize these dealers probably out of ignorance or probably due to trying to cut corners.
I hope you guys can keep this up. All fraudsters on this section should be named and shamed.

This is what happens when good people stay out of politics because they perceive it to be a dirty game....it just leaves room for thieves, rouges, murderers, dope dealers and hookers like this lady to take over.
This girl even had the guts to say all women are hookers.

I agree with you but they taking it personal now.

Don't have bad records on Nairaland. Stil finding their messages very funny. They called me all sorts of name but I don't care. Vowed neva to reply her coz I know that she is a frustrated individual. When you jobless, automatically, u Wil b idle and idle person can do anything stupid to seek attention. Stop fooling yourself madam

The ban is everywer and everybody ar aware, so why do you want to kill yourself? Nobody is forcing you to buy from cotonuo, so why d headache?

What you people don't know is that before they legalize landborders, activities are going on. After they legalize it, very few pay duty, like 10% out of 100% pays duty. Now that they ban it, activities are stil going on.

NB. I don't encourage smuggling. Jst need to clarify some issues. 70% percent of those cars you buy in lagos came in through Cotonou. If you not comfortable buying from Cotonuo, buy in lagos. Nobody is forcing you to buy in cotonou.

I pay my duty now at tincan. Government is after revenue. If you can provide evidence that you paid for the car at tincan, you free. Port of entry does not read on d vehicle.

Regards

Your lies stink to the high heavens.
What is smuggling?
The government said vehicles should not come in from the land borders and you Tadeus have decided to bring in vehicles through the land borders,Is that smuggling or not?
When you bring in the vehicles through the land borders do you pay the appropriate customs duty at the border? From your absurd statement above you claim to pay illegally at Tin can island port so between Seme border and Tin can the vehicle is being illegally smuggled into Nigeria or not?

This is my last post to you except you specifically call me out again. From my observation of your activities you come across as a fraudulent and dishonest person and I sincerely pity any one doing any business with you because they will get burned.

Madame do answer his allegation with clear cut evidence

Which clear cut evidence?
Anyone can allege any thing on a forum.
I am not alleging anything but I am asking Tadeus specific questions.
1. How is he going to import these vehicles since government has banned the importation of such?
2.Is the vehicle documents going to be dated before or after 1St of January 2017?
3.Which proper Customs officer will append his signature and index/service number/stamp to such a document in this era of anti corruption?
4.How will such a vehicle be brought into Nigeria except through smuggling?
The whole process stinks to high heavens if we apply our brains.
Tadeus from my little Interaction with him comes across as a very dishonest fraudulent personality but I wish anyone who choose to do business with him the best but know for the record it can never end well.

Lol!
Let Mr Tadeus, the big time importer/clearing agent answer my questions and leave my imaginary husband driver out of this issue.
How does he intend to clear these vehicles through the Seme/Idi Iroko border?
How will he procure genuine customs documents for such vehicles?
Which customs officer will append his signature to such knowing government forbids such?
Please use your brain.

Sir,
Why must I call you?
Why would you not explain how you will clear this vehicle on this forum?
I just need a simple explanation on how you can import a vehicle from Benin Republic to Nigeria through the land borders if the government of the day has banned such.
Will the Customs documents be dated after January 1St 2017?
Or will the documents be back dated to a date before January 1St?
Will the documents indicate Seme border or Idi Iroko as entry point?
How will you obtain proper and genuine documents for this importation of the vehicle?
Which proper Customs officer will append his signature or stamp or index number to the customs documents, knowing the government has forbidden entry of such into the country?
Sir honestly I smell forgery and smuggling in all this, but I will give you an opportunity to disabuse my mind.
I await your response please.

Thanks for your question bro. Nigerian Senate opposed it and advised Mr president and custom boss to lift the ban. It's on Nigerian newspapers and you can get the info online too. Work has not commenced though.

Nairaland is online forum and everyone have right to say anything. Been reading some comments lately on this post and I must confess , I find it very very interesting when I found out some facts

Madam, I'm sorry if I have ever hurt you but I stil stand on my decision. If your husband can bring two guarantors, I wil give hm cars to deliver for me. I don't take risk with my clients hard earned money. You called me to help your husband, that he is jobless and he can drive very well, he can deliver cars and I told you I can't give cars to someone I don't know to deliver for me. Don't know you took it personal. Ova two years now.

I read your comments and I intentionally ignored you. Madam, I must confess, you have been entertaining me all this while. Thanks so much.

The bitter truth is that you can't bring me down. I'm not a road side agent which you can testify to. I'm a licensed agent and you know my office.. Before I joined Nairaland, I have been doing auto biz. I'm not a kid in d biz. If you think you negative write up will bring me down, madam, you wasting your time.

I'm a business man and I don't take unnecessary risk. My clients can testify to that. Have been on Nairaland for almost 8years now and no negative comments about me. It's because I'm not selfish and coventous. Too late for you madam. If you husband stil need the job, tell him to provide two guarantors and we wil seal deal. Most of my clients don't wait to go with their car and you don't expect me to give it to your husband. It's unnecessary risk to me.

We tried exploring this option but there are no vehicles in his stand. He brings a car to the stand, take a picture and drop it back to their owners. What we could find were only accident-ed craps and loads of keke-napep. I have spent almost 1/2 the amount I bought this lemon in logistics and other trial and error attempts. And wanted oga cityhood to just bring any solution at-all (willing to give him real money for Toks, provided he'll deduct the price of this from it) up-to the point of asking him to sell it to any other dealer at any price at all for me to get something, but to no avail.

So what more? I moved on because my mind can now focus on important things and I can walk into reputable outlets to get something that's worth it.

Thanks for all the sane contribution from N/Ds

Haaaa!

This is stealing now.....

Quite honestly,I am trying to wrap my head around this story. Mr City hood, big time car dealer, you have the OP's money and you have the OP's lemon ,cannibalised Toyota Highlander with a Lexus engine.
We do not need a long story except for you to come out of hiding and tell us how you want to remedy the situation.
1) You have the Highlander in your possession.
2) You have Memeluv's money in your possession.
What do you want to do?
No messing around. Are you giving him another vehicle from the numerous ones you are advertising all over Nairaland? Or are you giving him his money back?

Business / Re: Help!!! He Has Refused To Return My Money by TheMadame(f): 9:02pm On Nov 29, 2016
@OP,
You made a big mistake paying into an account, without verifying if the name on the account corresponds properly.
However that does not excuse the accused from returning the total amount of money,if he has a conscience.
I would seriously advise the OP to get off the internet and take practical steps to recover his money by involving the relevant authorities such as the police and the banks if he is really serious about getting his money back.
You have his name and his account particulars.
Do the needful and get him apprehended if you really want your money back. Simple.
Travel / Re: Why You Need To Make Bonny Island Your Next Travel Location by TheMadame(f): 6:19pm On Nov 12, 2016
Caveatemptor:
@OP,
As others have posted, the pictures you posted and painted is the NNLG quarters, for foreign and local staffers of the NNLG. In those quarters there is apartheid, because certain areas are reserved for foreigners. I say this with all authority because I worked there in 2006 for about six months before I was transfered across the river to ALSCON in Akwa Ibom state. ALSCON which stands for Aluminium Smelting Company of Nigeria,is similar to NNLG in Bonny.
Beautiful residences built for the staffers with all comfortable amenities while the indigenous people of the vicinity wallow in abject poverty.
The 24 hours electricity is restricted to the NNLG and provided by gas turbines and not PHCN or NEPA,while ghettos like Finisima,Bonny town and Ikot Abasi wallow in abject poverty and darkness.
These are the main reasons for militancy in the Niger Delta.
Forcadoes in Delta State is another example of a developed town/city surrounded by abject poverty.
I know all these things because if you wanted to eat real local foods such as fresh fish,Banga soup and starch, you had to leave the developed cosmopolitan areas to the ghettos to eat proper African foods and while there you could sense the poverty, anger and tension of the indigenous people. The anger of the Niger Delta people in the swamps is real and can only be assuaged by proper development of the area by the government.

While I agree about the wealth in the midst of poverty is a reality in the Niger Delta area. Is militancy and destruction of oil pipelines the solution?
While I sympathise with the people of the Niger Delta area. I feel their militancy should start with their leaders, governors and representatives, that pretend to represent their intrests but actually use the cause of the Niger Delta to feather their own nests by using the youths to blow up pipelines, negotiate with the government at the centre, collect settlements and then build havens for themselves, selfishly in Maitama,Banana Island or abroad, while abandoning their people in abject poverty in the Niger Delta.
The militancy since Isaac Adaka Boro has done nothing for the people of the Niger Delta but push them further down the poverty line, while producing a few multi billionaires in dollars amoung their so called leaders ala Tom Polo, Edwin Clark ,Assari Dokubo and the grand master,James Onanefe Ibori.

If this man can loot so much and so fast under a touted corrective and anti corruption government, then just imagine what must have happened in the past!

I am totally shocked, and saddened by the actions of this General Burantai. What a hypocrite!
And he would be instructing the soldiers under him to keep fit by jogging and doing push ups while behind their backs he was robbing them blind!

We are watching this government to see their next line of action.
