Boss13: It is good news in the short term. However, what is going to happen after the governor is gone? We should not kid ourselves about not knowing how our politicians work. Give me one government agency that is effectively managed in this country.
I like the idea but I don't understand why the governor should be the one building a rice mill with public funds, something some wealthy business men would gladly venture into if they consider the benefits offered by the government.
Anambra government would not only save money for essential services, but also have a rice mill which will generate employment for its youth You worry yourself to death over nothing....one of the ways to trigger investment in production is to build and privatize. Likely, the man will sell the place to an investor who will continue with an expansion drive . Al the power plants sold by Jonathan has had their capacities almost doubled by the new owners. Investors always want ready made complex they can run from the word ,go. |

As for the budget for the presidency, I think 97% of it goes to the agencies under it. I'm just interested in how much will be the budget for food and other miscellaneous. You won't get it because it is hidden in the presidency votes...mr president WI decide how the votes of 40 billion(capital and recurrent) is split amongst the presidency subheadings Zero budgeting is a clever way of avoiding preying eyes like yours |

The budget is clear enough for all to see, with these set of intellectuals I believe the budget will perform, forgetting the politics involved. This is a better budget than we have had initially, more is being channeled to infrastructural development, debt service as well as capital expenditure, these are all requisite for development. A little Faith won't kill u. Is there any difference between capital and infrastructure? And why is the presidency allocating a whooping 20 billion to itself in both capital and recurrent expenditures? Over 400 billion has been handed to works without specifics.... These sectors are still relatively inactive and under-exploited. I am wonderimg how Governor intends to finance his over bloated budget. I'm not surprised.. The man is an illusion.. The servicing of such borrowings in the near future will simply destroy Nigeria.

kahal29: Barely four days after a Court of Appeal sitting in Benin-City, Edo State, dismissed a petition filed by the Delta Central senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon. Halims Agoda, against him over the 2015 general election result, Chief Ighoyota Amori’s victory dance has been cut short by the same Appeal Court.
The Appeal Court on Saturday annulled the election of Amori, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and declared Obariri Ovie Omo-Agege winner of the Labour Party as the winner of the 2015 Delta Central senatorial election. The appellate court annulled the victory of Amori as declared by INEC and upheld by the elections petition tribunal.
THISDAY gathered that gloom enveloped the camp of Amori, a one-time education commissioner in Delta State as his victory dance over the Appeal Court’s earlier verdict has become short-lived.
Dismissing the appeal of Agoda earlier in the week in the unanimous judgment, Justice H. Barka held that the use of manual accreditation was legal, adding that card readers were meant to complement manual accreditation. Barka said, over voting could only be said to have taken place if the number of votes cast was more than what was in the voters register and “not card readers.”
The judge also dismissed claims of the APC candidate of election violence and argument that the conduct of the election by INEC did not substantially comply with the provision of the Electoral Act.
Meanwhile, the victory dance yesterday night shifted to the camp of Omo-Agege, a one-time secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG) and chieftain of the PDP until his defection to the Labour Party before the 2014 general election.
With the victory of Omo-Agege, the number of PDP senators in Delta State has been reduced from three to two, that is, Senator James Manager representing Delta South and Peter Nwaoboshi who represents Delta North district.

You need to go for eye surgery if you saw the COAS in the video.... Then, Buhari would have been considered incompetent if the COAS took another route and didn't fire him, immediately... repogirl: Please go and find your brain from the dustbin you dumped it.
Where in the world do soldiers kill people because they blocked the road? Are you okay?
What happened to making arrests?
Even in protests where protesters throw stones, fire and harmful objects at the police, all the law do is stand their ground, make arrests or highest disperse the crowd with water or tear gas.
Are you an animal? Do you understand the value of human life? Do you understand that the law is supposed to protect human life and not take it unnecessarily? If a law enforcer should kill, it should be the last option when all else fails and only when there is a threat to life.
Or you think because they have guns means they should shoot unnecessarily? Sporadically into a crowd of people? On what level is that okay? That is pure Barbarism!
God forbid that this country will turn into what you people want it to become. Before that will happen, God will clear all of you who feel its fine to kill innocent unarmed people just because of your personal bias and rival sentiments against them. They are soldiers not police. Every situation is analyzed with war eyes |

repogirl: This story will still blow open, I am very sure of it.
Buratai's half hazard attempt at a cover up cannot work.
He says the soldiers are to protect lives, property and curb lawlessness but they did the exact opposite.
Till date the army cannot show evidence of how they were attacked or evidence of attack or one soldier that was injured or killed when the shiites attacked them.
The Nigeria army that love to take pictures of their spoils have not one single picture to show except for the one where they shot the shiite leader and they expect us to believe their bullshit?
Buratai's thinks he is smart, soon he will outsmart himself. He thinks he is supreme and powerful and his army has to answer to no one.
Okay, we will see. There was a video where army Chiefs not soldiers were pleading with the sect members to allow them pass through but they refused... The chief even had to order the soldiers not to shoot and for like 10 minutes engaged different leaders of the youths to allow their boss go through. I am sure that even if the officers had decided to pull back, they would have been pummelled with stones, as the boys were unruly... We are talking about the movement of the most ranking army officer in Nigeria been halted by some misguided youths. The army was patient with them and I am sure it was because of the calibre of officers in the convoy.... It would have been worse if they blocked the road against soldiers on errand. Imagine those boys touching the army chief uniform in the name of gesticulating..... There is no soldier that can touch his superior uniform or body for any reason without permission |

Boss13: 1 barrel is equal to 158 litres. In dollars that is approximately N4 dollars per liter of cruel oil @ $38 per barrel. Convert that to naira, you get N1,008 per liter of crude oil @ N252 exchange rate. I did not add the cost of refining the crude and other logistic costs.
N97 per liter of refined crude oil is perfectly fair. I was thinking it would be higher than N200 per liter. How did you arrive at this ridiculous conclusion? If a barrel is 38 dollar and it contains 158 litres, commonsense would dictate that you divide the cost by the quantity... 38/158=0.241 dollars per litres To be sure, multiply 0.241*158=37.99999,which is approximately 40 dollars. |

stagger: You are the man. I came from an atheist family. Never entered any church until my teen years. Was in one where levies and taxation was done in the name of offerings. I heard there is even one church where you can't be buried if you were not a financial member. I am sure we all know what church that is.
I was one of those who actively poked fun at the anointing oil and the mantle even as a Christian. How foolish I was because I was blind. When I joined the Winners family, it took only one year for me to start seeing DRAMATIC turnaround in my family, career and business. Under prophetic mandate in the Double Portion year, I got 2 cars the same year. The year of Exceeding Grace, I got several plots of land in what looked like an area that will never be developed in the next century under Divine and prophetic instruction, only for a Royal family in Nigeria to acquire 300 acres close to my land to build a university in partnership with an American university. EIGHT MONTHS is all it took for the value of my land to jump 10 TIMES and still rising.
I can never regret my decision to join Winners and partake fully in everything the Commission is doing. I will be fully committed financial to the Faith Theatre project. Those who will hate will continue to hate, while those whom God is blessing will continue to prosper. I once write an article lampooning this great servant of God for owning an aircraft... Boss13: God is not in buildings or churches. God doesn't live there. Technically, he is everywhere. You do not need to convene in one spot and feel holy or pretend to feel holy - that's not spirituality.
My only concern is that the churches in Nigeria contribute nothing to the economy of the country. Yet, these churches have huge cash reserves. Members do not gain any benefit rather than mere talk. Spirituality is not about how rich you are in this material plane. Jesus even said it - it will be difficult for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. Even though God is everywhere he doesn't manifest everywhere or to everyone... 1 Samuel 3 v 21... And God appeared again in Shiloh and revealed himself to Samuel by his word.... There are messengers... He, God, said he will give us pastor after his heart and my Bishop is one of them... You can't be more knowledgeable than the members... Membership is free just like it is free to leave.... He has repeatedly said it that if you have been a member for three months without change in your Fortune then the place is not for you... Leave.... Spirituality is not about how rich you are, of the truth... But if you are rich spiritually it must show.... Walking upon your high places, on the earth, is a proof of your spirituality |

Yes even in helping the needy, the haves in the church should be encouraged to donate for the have nots. Donation is not a bad thing if it is used to cater for the needs of the members and those around. God bless you too. In the circular world it is not a crime but it unscriptural to ask for donation for anything that God commands... When I sent you without purse lack ye anything? And the apostles replied... Bollinger: I believe in a higher power. specifically Jehovah. I have no choice. I am only human. We are all wired to believe in things greater than us e.g the nature spirit by the Indians, the Greek gods, budha, "the force" in star wars grin (can't wait for december 18th) etc. Now, since i believe in Jehovah, i will make use of the greatest gift he gave me when he created me. FREE WILL. The ability to make my own decisions and choices, with the use of full or partial knowledge. Come on people. Use your heads. It is obvious that a lot of the pages in the Bible are either missing or incomplete. For example, In the book of Genesis, God created Adam and Eve and they had two sons. Then all of a sudden there are millions of people gallivanting all over the planet. Who did Cain and Abel sleep with that enabled the planet multiply so rapidly? Another big one for me are the miracles being performed today. I believe Jesus Christ existed and performed miracles, well, because he is the son of God. But these days, with these shylock pastors we have running amok amongst us? Bro please undecided Common sense should tell any sane human being that we are being taken for a huge ride. "Touch not my anointed" my foot. Of what use is my God given gift of freewill if i am going to be a zombie. Phuck that. The original bearer of good tidings (Jesus Christ), went about his business spreading the gospel in sandals and riding a donkey. These muthafuckers are buying billion dollar jets with your money. You saying Jesus couldn't afford a mercedes benz chariot if he wanted one? Or wear the best gucci robes? The way to spread the word of God is to use your tithe to build schools we can all afford, build hospitals for the less privileged and shelters for the homeless. Not build stadium like churches. Come on people, use your heads. 1. There is no genuine member of this commission called Winners without a genuine personal testimony. I not only have one but multiple testimonials. Every single soul I encouraged to join the commission have returned with diverse unimaginable testimonies... E. G, a lady with ovarian cyst... Her menstrual circle used to run for like 28 days.... I met her through her sister when her family had already given up on her because she was more a walking corpse, I did not ask her to see any pastor, I bought her two titles, the blood triumph and the healing balm... She just finished her youth service to the country. 2. The raiment that the Lord wore was so special that the soldiers had to cast lot to divide it amongst themselves.... Nobody share rag. The common pillow we have in our homes today was so special in Jesus times that it got mentioned in the Bible when Jesus used it on board a ship. Camel was the fastest means of transportation, Jesus not only used it but asked for a brand new one that had never been ridden by any man when he made his entry into Jerusalem. The ministry he ran then was so rich that he had a treasure named Judas... He never asked for whether money was available to buy food for the multitude he asked where the food could be bought before the meal of the young boy was supernaturally increased to feed the multitude. Find your place in life and walk in it... Joel 2... All the criticism has only made more people to, out of curiosity, venture into the church only to be find fulfilment... I was a Catholic, in fact my wife was a cadet by virtue of the Father being a knight but she knows the difference. Only through prosperity will the church be spread abroad Zechariah 1 Nobody has ever been under pressure to contribute in the commission... But where I can from, you couldn't do certain things unless you showed proof of financial commitment... Multiple offering where you must join the queue... Levies and annual dues for this and that... They have even introduced the tithe that spent a grater deal of time castigating. This is one church that never does launching of any kind, no harvest, no raffle draws, d because the man said the day he was called God launched the commission... No levy, no altar call just each according to as he or she is willing Nobody has ever been allowed to stand and announced, I am donating so and so to this.... You and your God and your envelope.. That is all... The 50k auditorium was built without fundraising and and within one year, this won't be an exception |
