Apple Insider Reveals Shock New iPhone Price Increase
Gordon KellySenior Contributor
Consumer Tech
I write about technology's biggest companies
Apple’s common sense approach (unlike some rivals) to upgrading the iPhone 11 (guide) has resulted in a class-leading phone at a bargain price. But this looks set to change.

FORBES Gordon Kelly
In a new report seen by AppleInsider, acclaimed Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that Apple’s desire to equip every 2020 iPhone with 5G will result in some dramatic price rises.

“Kuo believes that the main logic-board on the 2020 iPhone 5G will have to grow by about 10% in area to accommodate the new technologies,” explains AppleInsider. “That increase in area will come with a cost – the [mother]board fabrication and some new antenna technology will force a 35% increase in cost to build that component.”

Kuo reveals that the motherboard is one of the most expensive components in an iPhone, with only the OLED display and A-series processor costing more. As AppleInsider points out: “At present, 5G options in shipping phones are adding about an additional $400 to the price of an already expensive flagship phone, like the Galaxy S10.”

While Apple has a scale of economy like no-other, the company also has profit margins like no-other meaning the decision to equip every new iPhone with 5G is going to be hard. I suspect Apple will be able to bring down the current $400 premium (despite using Qualcomm 5G modems like its rivals), but it seems inevitable that iPhone fans will have to shoulder several hundred dollars being added to their next phones.

Apple iPhone Users Reporting Serious Battery Problems
FORBES Gordon Kelly
And this is a tough pill to swallow because leaks reveal Apple’s 2020 iPhone plans are some of the most ambitious in iPhone history. Perhaps most head-turning is the return of Touch ID, but there will also be new screen sizes, stunning 120Hz ProMotion displays, long-range 3D cameras and the long-awaited switch to USB-C. Of course, the problem with all this mouthwatering tech is it won’t come cheap either.

Apple is famous for increasing iPhone prices while still retaining massive sales, but its 2020 iPhones may just push customers to the limit.

It's not like that Bro, nobody is badmouthing you, it's just that, Technology is changing and it's moving towards AI and automation.

The dotcom bubble is no more, if you were around during the dotcom bubble in a Western world, with your idea, you might be the Mark Zuckerberg we all admire today, who knows?

What I have to say to you, its quite simple.
Now, you've gained an experience, that's for sure, use that experience to your own advantage.

Build something people wants and needs

Turn that into a very marketable product.

Don't invest your own money, if you know you don't have enough.

Read my lips, Don't invest your own money

Investors would eventually come, once they notice you're solving a problem.

The key is solve a problem, people would pay you for it.

All the Tech Billionaires you know, are all solving a problem, don't you think so?

And just in case you don't know, they are all moving toward Automation, try and learn and improve, God willing an idea will come to you, that will change many lives.

Which will in-turn make you money.

Just learn from your mistake.

Success doesn't come to those who fall and remain on the floor, it comes to those who never stop trying and getting up to their feet.

My 2 cents, though
Best advice so far.
I was privileged to speak with the CEO of Jobberman, and she told me the exact same thing.

From 2016 till date, I have connected with a good number of people who I have rendered various ICT services to.

The amazing thing is till date those people are still my clients even after I moved from freelancing to running my own startup called www.codefixbug.com and they make up 10% of our client base.

Best Regards
Gone through your site.
I must say it's a nice startup you have there.
I'm still learning web development (CSS).. Would really love to launch my own start up in about 2 years time. I pray I'm able to come up with good ideas and business plan.

If you want to use java then use java. Don't fall for this bullsh.t talk of 'Java is dead'. What killed java if I may ask?
One thing with Nigeria is that we like new and flashy things. You chose a language based on stability of that lang and the needed libraries that can make your life easier.
Depending on what you want to do, you chose a language. Java remains the undisputed champion on mobile app dev.
Thank you very much

Don't waste your time on Java (I'm telling you this because I assume you are just about to start. If you have started it already, I wouldn't want to discourage you)

Follow it the way I ask you to;

HTML
CSS
JavaScript

You will come back and thank me.

I knew this in a hard way...you don't have to go the hard way too.

My piece of advice
I've already learned Html and CSS, I will soon start Javascript,
But I wanted to go into app development, so I thought of Java, what are your alternatives?
Programming › Re: [Career Post] "What Are My Chances Of Getting A Job As A Web Developer?" by TheManOfTheYear: 3:04pm On Oct 06, 2019
jossydee1:
You have said it well.

Just an addition...

I will advise you that you start with the knowledge of HTML and CSS.

When I started programming, I had no mentor to guide me. It's the zeal that I had so I started learning on my own. I started with one of the tough languages (Java). It was latter I learnt HTML, CSS. I soon realised Java is not very lucrative anymore. But with consistency and determination, I kept learning and I'm still learning.

You have lots to learn when it comes to programming and you can't know it all.

So start with HTML and CSS. Later you can move to Javascript. By then, you would have got the understanding of the industry and know what next you should learn.

It's an interesting and challenging industry, I tell you.
Tell me more about the emboldened.
Because I'm planning on specializing in Java

For gaming learn how to use unity game engine or unreal game engine.
Unity game engine will require you to learn c# or javascript. I don't know much about unreal game engine. You can get tutorial videos for from youtube. Mind you the application are very large and require a lot of data to download. You can work with unity both online and offline, unity can work in almost any pc above 2004.

For application java for android and windows, swift for ios.
C c++ are also good language for game n application.
Thank you so much.
I just hope Java programmers are much sought after

U must have the below first.

1.. Ability to stay on the computer for long.
2.. convenient environment
3.. constant power
Then learn the basics of computer science (byte, bit, cpu, asci, utf,), machine code, binary, hexa, decimal etc.You want to know the basics of assembly and basic....When done....read mathematics (integer, even nos,odd nos, prime nos, arithmetic operators, assignment operators etc....then decide on anything u want to do in programming and pick the appropriate Lang..... smaller langs to learn first are Qbasic, free pascal etc...don't rush,be good in one of them first before getting to big langs like python or jave
Oga stop making it look scary.

C, c++ , c# for embedded system, java for android and system application, swift for ios, there are lots more.
