Ask kakakri where him office dey, does he have a company, is it registered. Can you get a hold of him if a deal goes wrong? Has anybody seen him physically or know what he looks like?

Some people are experts when it comes to scam. They can plan it for months until they are successful. My advice is for you to be wise in whatever you are doing.

Yes, there were, there are and will always be scammers on NL, but that doesn't mean that all car dealers here are scammers. Kakakibuy may have been reluctant to provide you with references because he doesn't know who you are. For all he cares, you may be a conman/kidnapper looking for a mark.

@Kakakibuy, please understand that in this harsh economic clime, it is extremely difficult for anyone to raise 1.3m and give it to a total stranger. It takes serious cohones.

if you both decide to move forward with this deal, I'd recommend that you both show good faith and prove to each other that you're both real. Kakakibuy, provide easily reachable and verifiable references. themodernman, prove that you're a legit, honest to god customer. Sefinis.

The references must be married with children and one amongst them must be a doctor or a pastor /Imam, village head, or a civil servant. That's the person you will be transacting with on behalf of Kakakibuy.

1.Ask your lawyer to draft an agreement ( some lawyer collect as little as 10k.

2. Get Kakakibuy representative to sign it on his behalf and hand your money to him/her.

Now you have someone to hold liable should Kakakibuy mess up.

he told me his architect uncle in gbagada is his referees but that there's really no need to hold anyone for anything. I told him how he expect me to hand him

over a million naira without referees, he den asked if I'm themodernman to which I said yes...he den said he's no longer interested in doing business with me

I'll suggest u go through their threads and that of their clients to get better understanding. I'm not vouching their authenticity or genuiness, I'm just urging u 2research them. I don't sell cars, just an ardent follower of this section. If ua still not comfy with them, go with ur cousin but who says ur cousin can't still scam u.
