demmysoft:Hi, are you sure university of Paris saclay told you to pay your fees before arriving? I doubt that. The fees for all students have been slashed to about 243euros or so among the member universities. Except if the member institution have their own high charges as some do. This is on their website. Which of the member university or grand ecole did you gain admit to? University of Paris Saclay, is a body of two universities and about 10 grand ecoles with just Ecole polytechnic pulling away this year. I am heading for an Erasmus program at ENS Paris Saclay! |
DonGusfring:I am emotional as I am typing this. Don't let this destabilize you. Winners never quit. You are a winner, a winner with excess. I prophecy into your life, GO GET THAT VISA.!!! |
biffoqboxer:I will say it depends. I sent my document to New York from Aba, and it took just 19 days. |
adachisom25:Please which proof of funds did you present? Is it scholarship or statement of account of sponsor? Thank you! |
AgreatMan:Mein Brother, despite this is a faceless forum, I think your previous post is not ideal. Our thoughts differ. I can't throw such statement whether it be a joke or not to a lady, and expect her not to feel bad especially if her self esteem is high! In all humility, when we know people are hurt through our words, we shouldn't delay to say a sorry. If we find it difficult to say sorry when we are wrong, how much difficult will it be to say sorry even when we are right! Stay blessed! |
Please my beloved people, I have a query. How much does it cost to request for I 20 using eshipglobal via DHL. The school is situated in New York. Thank you very much as I anticipate your responses. |
Pinkandblue26:You can as well email graduate coordinators/professors. You can start now. Attach your academic transcript and CV for his/her perusal, asking them to rate your credentials for admission and full funding. If you are a very strong candidate( your transcript and research experience should show this) I bet you, they will beg you to apply for their program and may even offer you application fee waiver. I had a similar experience where a grad coordinator of a very good school in the US, told me that I am definitely the kind of student that they are interested in, and went on to tell me about TA and full funding, and his hope in hearing from me about the matter. The GRE is just one aspect of your credentials. Build on others as well. Good luck!! |
Coitus:As an oldie here, I will say please do not bombard the embassy with mails. Your email will end up being blacklisted. What else do you guys seek? It has been explained again and again. If you fulfil one of the categories in type A, then just go ahead and mark the scholarship option. From experience, sending constant emails is dangerous. When you receive your appointment date, you will be surprised that the scholarship indicated there, is just a filter. Do this now for your own good. God bless you all! |
johnsonm2g:My brother, I do not want to demoralize you. It will be very difficult for your grade This is because, people with over- excellent application will apply, and some programs can have over 1000 applicants each for perhaps 20-25 openings. However, nothing is impossible with God. I am a christian and I believe in the power of grace or some may call it luck. My advice is this, seek for valuable experience like research, write exams like TOEFL, GRE to boost your portfolio. Spread your tentacles even to US and Canada schools. I wish you the very best of luck. |
davide470:Thank you very much for your response. You are indeed very gracious. I will apply through CROUS and it will be through the school. The application form for housing will be made available at the end of this month. Rent is from 248 euros to 450 euros per month depending on the square meter. As a Nigerian and Ibo guy, you should know the one I will choose, Lol. I also do not know when I will apply for a visa, as notification has been sent to me about selection, but I am yet to get my admission letter. I know that I will apply soon. Thank you very much once again. |
Good day house, nice job going on here. I gained admit into an Erasmus Mundus masters program in one of the Grand Ecoles- ENS Paris Saclay. I have gone through the discussions here, and have found out that one do not need to book for an appointment at VFS. However, I will like to know from the gurus in the house on the cost of living in Paris, as well as the things to expect there. I will be spending one year in ENS, but the other year in research at Ecole polytechnique, Harvard medical school and MIT. Thank you all, as I await your valued responses. |
My people, nice job going on here. I really appreciate you guys. My eyes have been on Europe, got a couple of admits. However, I have been in correspondence with a professor, the Director of a college program at the City University of New York, and he has offered me a scholarship that will cover my fall tuition only but with also a TA. Their is no full tuition waiver for masters students in the college. Their is nothing yet on the remainder of the semesters. I am quite confused on this. I know that CUNY is a very good school, but I am not ready to run into financial debt or loan. Please what do you guys think ? Thank you all. |

mvem:Nope. Did you also apply to the program? |
buiquiey:Thank you very much. I have requested for it already. I hope to send it on monday, 15th. Was told that it is needed for the scholarship, to ensure that I have not been in Europe for more than 12 months of the last five years. I do not know how many people were interviewed, and how many will make the shortlist or main list. I am very surprised that I got interviewed without it. |
mvem:It was not sudden. I was contacted last week for the skype interview via mail. Invitations were sent last week. Pre selected applicants interview began on the 8th of april and will end on the 11th. I was even slow on the application. Completed the application just a day or so before the deadline. I was wary because of the stress of the residence stuff. Do not worry. It will end in praise surely, ok. Cheers |
mvem:I got interviewed for EMIMEO today. The interview lasted for over one hour, given my poor internet connection, and I was told to submit my proof of residency latest by 15th of this month. They kept on stressing on this, even though I submitted one during application. Any one like me here?. Trusting God for a positive outcome. |
SoftAnn25:This German people can be funny. Why should the alien office tell you that instead of contacting the embassy directly? .I would advice you to just take the matter to God. You've done your best. If your school responds, then you know what to do. I wonder what could be the missing documents? I tell you dear, that you will scale through this. I tell you solemnly again that you will smile soon, for the light will shine at the end of this tunnel. Just believe. You will remember this when it happens. |
ansellotty:Congrats brother. Please were you told to pick it up yourself or it was sent through courier? |
Northmaza:Well, nothing good comes easily. Keep on trying to get a date, but still write to the embassy. He's got nothing to loose. For the organization to file blue card for him, which means he is an asset to them. There are requirements for blue card, for example employees should earn far above 50000 euros yearly. So not all organizations can file except they can pay as such. You guys should keep on checking and don't forget to pray of course. I believe in the power of prayers. Wish you and your husband, the very best. Tschüss. |
Northmaza:Tell your husband to write to the embassy. What he needs, is a work visa. This involves a long process because the organization will have to prove why an alien is preferred over a citizen or permanent resident. The vast majority of the folks here,I inclusive are for student visa. The embassy will answer this properly and tell him how to schedule. He will also know if he will be granted an EU blue card if successful. Cheers |
mekanta7:My Brother, I remember discussing this in one of my posts. |
Pauludy:For bachelor's, it depends on the GPA of the first session. But I will kindly advice you to tell your friend about this forum, if you love this your friend, since you are our friend here. This is just a token of advice from a friend that cares. Cheers |
SoftAnn25:Relax dear, I say unto you relax. The best you can do, is to call your alien office. Don't mail them, but call. If they tell you something positive, then wait for the final decision from the embassy. I too had my interview on the 30th of August. Shortly just a week from my interview date, I contacted the alien office at jena, though I have been in correspondence with the man in charge. He even told me when I should contact the embassy on my visa, and I got a response from the embassy before the date. I will post stuffs soon, when the great God finishes the work. cheers |
abnoble:Don't worry. They are just waiting for a response from your alien office. The moment your alien office responds positively, they will reach out to you ASAP. Your enrollment deadline looks like fsu jena. Are you heading there? |
SoftAnn25:OK. Don't worry, it will soon drop. I mean your AM |

Which school and city are you heading to? |
tunchyluv:Yea I am. Have you contacted the alien office.? |
naijacentric:When they say resident, they mean someone who lives and work in Germany. Does that mean permanent residents or citizens can't travel and make request? Of course they do. Check the mail you received during appointment. You will see - the republic of Germany in Lagos. That means anyone at the embassy, is considered to be standing on a German soil. What I am telling you, is correct . I say no more. |
delsoft:My brother, if your uncle is eligible, no need to travel to Germany before he gets the sponsor letter. Write a mail to info@lago.diplo.de, and request for an appointment for your sponsor to make the financial obligation. Believe me, they will book you instantly cos many people don't know that this can be done. If your uncle don't have his work contract with him here, he can have someone scan and send it to him. Nevertheless, his passport no, will reveal better details, so don't fret.in fact if he's booked,he will get the letter for you that same day at the embassy . Do this if you want, and thank me later. |
sucre90:Brother, there is nothing to fret. Just contact your sponsor, and tell him or her to go to the alien office in his/her place of abode, and request for a sponsor letter for study, and not for visit. You need to orient the person on this.let the person do this as soon as possible. He filed a sponsor letter for visit that was why. You can as well write to the embassy to give you more time or a farther date to submit if you still have time for enrollment. Believe me, they will give you a farther date. Hasten brother, for you have an opportunity that many are looking for. Cheers. |
Pazzyofficial:Brother, please read previous pages na. You will get lots of info. Folks don't know that when they read ardently, they communicate with the universe. If you do your homework well, you will be guided by experienced folks here when you ask meaningful questions. CHEERS! |
