tunku:Very intelligent observation and comment. I'm proud of you man. Well, the problem I have also is that many Nigerians who are American citizens seem to think with the Blue Passport, they hold the citizenship of the Holy Heavens and vehemently deny their origin. |
whiteroses:You just said it. It's a very challenging career but the problem I have with banking jobs is they hardly have time for themselves let alone their families. |

|
It has been widely believed that sex and marriage go hand in hand and are both like Siamese twins which are inseparable. However, it has posed as much problems as anyone might have thought in most marriages, resulting into chaos ranging from cheating to messy divorces. I have seen situations where many sexual acts have been successfully introduced into marriages, permit me to be vulgar on this one, the sucking, licking, food play and all of that, while some women think they are emblems of the the true and proverbial African woman - one that doesn't engage in "nefarious" and "demeaning" sexual acts. They just want the old time kind of sex which doesn't entail all the "western" fantasies. On the other hand, 98% of men, I mean men who are enlightened(educated, exposed and such) are so much engrossed in these habits, which I think is good because that is part of the globalization we're talking about evolving into, but their wives have refused to let them exhibit their new found talent in bed. The man subsequently seeks another woman out there who can go to any length to satisfy his needs and before you know it, he falls in "lust" and starts to lose focus on the home front and concentrating real good on the sexual counterpart, sending text messages, phone calls, romantic gifts, and dare I say that the man will be wayward and will start showing off attitudes to his wife if his counterpart is very sexy, good in bed and romantic? Conclusively, some women are nasty with their husbands in bed, some are nasty within themselves but pretend to be saints to their husbands. The main problem I think is that most partners don't know how to bring up the subject, Sex. Some don't always want to talk about it. Do you think sex makes a marriage last? Do you think there is any marriage devoid of better sex is prone to perils? Where do you think a marriage where sex is not talked about will land on? Let me know your opinions. |
It has to do with a lot of things as much as it depends on the gender. However, I have to point out that cheating on your partner doesn't make you love him/her less depending on your reason(s) for cheating. Some men just cheat for any or more of these reasons: **** Because they think they can't get enough from their wife in terms of sex **** Because their partners pose a lot of emotional problems to them thereby resorting to some sort of temporary happiness ventures **** Some men cheat because it is naturally embedded in their nature. **** Some men cheat because they think marriage could sometimes be boring(where marriage is concerned). Female cheat for many reasons viz : *** The man not good enough in bed *** The man being unnecessarily jealous and the woman feels she needs to find someone else because she can't keep up with the heated pressure. *** Women, like men, still do have men they will or that they fantasize, if a woman tells you she has never come across a man she likes almost more than she liked you the first time she saw you, she is a blatant liar. *** Some women can be easily swayed by riches and enticing gifts from men. *** There are women who just don't know how to say NO to men. *** Some think they are smart and can outsmart men. *** There are women who are very insatiable and you can't help that. Overall, I still think if hit with a condition that is most unfavourable, most of us are 50% prone to cheating. |

El-Rufai is nothing but a stinking hypocrite. What's with all the lands he shared among themselves? What about the money he stole? Why can't he come to Nigeria and face the perils of his actions? Why can't he come and prove his innocence. He can only tell those in the United States because they don't know what's goes on here. So he didn't know their administration made a mistake until now that he had no access to have an office as his birthright as other politicians with whom he served together in OBJ's administration? What a shame! I do think we have no hope in sight of having a good leader and as a matter of fact, he should block his mouth and bury his head in a trash can. He is WORTHLESS. Ribadu was man enough to face the retrogression of his actions, however, he was not accused of stealing, Can someone tell me where Waziri put all of Tafa's loot? |
It's a simple question. What would you say about a man who wants to lead a nation, yet, is a negative religious zealot? I remember he overturned a ship-full Holy Bible and asked to pay for it. Now, just what would that have turned around to be if he was a President? He would have been another Principal of those in the High school of "christian killers" in Jos. |
You are just so right. If Nigeria was such a great country as she claims( I have no doubt we are a great country but marred by their incessant financial scandals), why would she have to send her kid abroad to study? It just doesn't make sense to me. Can any of those top officials name their kids who study here? Can anyone point out to have ever studied with any top politicians' kids? No one I suppose. |
SAGAMITE: You obviously don't know what's going on in this country. Dora is stealthily corrupt but people just don't know. What is it that you notice have been done so far? Tell me one good thing she has done. Someone clamoring on the TV and in newspapers doesn't mean she is doing the right thing to be done. Talk is cheap and that is all she does. We don't need more talks, we want action and she lacks that in its entirety. They should re-band their cabinet and don't you dare tell me I want to open my mouth, you don't know what goes down in Nigeria everyday. |
Obama while he was still the Presidential nominee of the Democratic Party, went to a Sports club somewhere in DC, with all his security behind and in front of him, the lady in her mid 30's at the entrance, comfortably asked Obama his club ID before he could be allowed in. Being a good citizen and a man of honor he provided it and he was allowed in. However, the club management got to know about the incident and they tendered an apology if he was offended. Now, what do you expect from a corrupt Minister from a corrupt country? They are the ones who need re-branding not an average Nigerian. Imagine, all nigerian youths have decided to be internet fraudsters? Can someone tell me why? It's not because they are lazy, it is because there is nothing for them to do. We all might not know how it works down there with them because we are not in their shoes but we unfortunately make comments about them because they make a lot of money people don't expect them to at their age. Dora being searched doesn't make any sense to me, she is a nobody in the US and if Obama could be asked for his ID, why not Dora, searched? Afterall, they don't have any more dignity left in them. |
It has just been confirmed that Carlos Ancelotti is new Chelsea FC's manager. Given his achievements in Italy, at AC Milan specifically, his 8 year spell at Milan has gone so far in underlining what improvements he could bring to Chelsea, albeit understanding that it might take some time before the players adapt to his form of football. Give your comments on what you think will come up. |
I just read on CNN that Obama has urged MYANMAR to unconditionally release Aung San Suu Kyi calling her house arrest since 1989 "arbitrary". He as well went ahead to stress that "if Burma wants to take its place as a responsible member of the international community, the rules of their land has to be obeyed and respected". On a rather different note, we remember that an American-Iran reporter, Roxana Saberi was imprisoned in Iran on charges of "espionage", as defiant and outspoken as Iranian President Ahmedinejad is and has always been, he hearkened to Obama's call to release the reporter and condemned the rather against-the-human-rights trial and imprisonment of the reporter, hence, prompting the Iranian President to extend an opportunity to talk with the American President after both countries had fallen out of a good relationship since more than 30 years. Recently, he has demonstrated acts of wanting to talk peace with the United States. It is however generally believed, maybe exaggerated but true, that if you want to find favor in the world we are in today, you have to be United States favored. Subsequently, bring this down to Nigeria. I remember our "dearest" President mentioning that he would like Nigeria to be part of the G-20 countries. Last time I checked, Nigeria doesn't possess the least quality to be a member of this clan(G-20). We have a government from Federal to Ward levels that have been violently, illegally, fraudulently elected into office, perpetrating all forms of ills ranging from financial to moral. Everywhere and everyday we keep hearing money missing(NFA scandal), money not located(Tafa's loot-where is it?), billions of naira not accounted for(House of Reps trying to find out what happened to some billions from exports), election scandals(recently some members of the electoral c'mmttee for the rerun in Ekiti have been accused of sharing some money and Maurice Iwu claiming that they are being distracted by the police from performing their constitutional duty, what's their duty? Rig elections?). Can someone tell me just how, with these qualities, Nigeria of all nations will qualify to be among the G-20 clans? To further decimate the FG's so called "re-branding" the President ordered the military to attack Niger Delta. We all know how it ended in Sudan and other countries, even though America didn't interfere into some but then they will suffer for it from the same American somehow. Lately someone said Obama's visit to Africa is exaggerated, no it is not. Obama eluding Nigeria and crossing to Ghana shows how weak and how pathetic Nigeria has gone to a point where two consecutive American Presidents have skipped Nigeria to visit our neighboring African countries even though we give them our oil. Why didn't the President call for dialogue before declaring the cold war? Why didn't he seek legislative support before going all out on them? Was his actions really patriotic? Why can't be prove to be different by improving the lives of the Niger-Deltans? I do not want to sound tribal on this issue, but if the northerners were to be in the Niger-Deltans shoes, we know what they would have done. Look at Jos, Kano, Sokoto and what they are doing to southerners! Go figure the rest! Finally, is it true that President Yara'dua will be tried for GENOCIDE? If yes, what impact does it have on our image and our so-called re-branding? Good morning y'all. |
Facts emerged on Monday that the Independent National Electoral Commission may be shielding six Presiding Officers listed as witnesses by one of the accused from being quizzed by the Police headquarters in the N250m bribery rocking the commission. Skip to next paragraph click to expand image Photo file Mrs Ayoka Adebayo, Resident Electoral Commissioner of Ekiti State A bribery row broke out in INEC shortly after its personnel involved in the Ekiti rerun elections as presiding and collation officers in Ido-Osi Local Government Area, returned to Abuja. It was gathered in Abuja that the Investigating Police Officer in charge of the case had gone twice to the INEC office to demand the release of the six people for questioning but the INEC Secretary, Alhaji Abdullahi Kaigama, reportedly aborted the move. Kaigama allegedly told the IPO that the commission would not want any of its personnel to be disturbed by way of invitation. The whistle-blower in the bribery saga, Mr. John Onaji, had on April 30 mentioned the six NEC officers to Mr. J.B Awelewa, as among the INEC personnel that Mr. Olumide Yomi addressed when he said he had provided some ‘kola’ for them Awelewa is a Deputy Commissioner of Police, heading the Police Unit at INEC headquarters. Sources alleged that INEC’s plot was to ensure that none of the six officers who served as presiding officers corroborated Onaji’s statement before the police. A source said, “The IPO from Police headquarters has been to the INEC twice to ask the six people that Onaji had mentioned to have been at the meeting when the alleged money provider, Mr. Olumide Yomi, addressed them in Ido-Osi to come forward for interrogation. “Each time he (the IPO) met the INEC Secretary, Kaigama, he refused to release them. The secretary said that they don’t want anybody to disturb them.” According to a source, the INEC chairman, Prof. Maurice Iwu, had on Wednesday, addressed employees of the commission and assured them that the bribery scandal matter had been settled. But investigations showed that it was the same day that Onaji and Yomi were quizzed and detained till Friday when they regained their freedom. Also, it was gathered that the commission had embarked on the mass transfer of those linked to the bribery scandal outside the headquarters, while some had been penciled for dismissal. Some of the 31 officers earlier mentioned as being involved in the bribery expressed fears that their career might be jeopardised. However, they vowed to open up on more sordid acts at the commission should their fears be founded. “Let them sack us and we will make known the people who have been sharing money at the commission,” they said. A source also explained that collection of money by INEC officials did not start with the Ekiti rerun polls. According to the source, similar ‘bazaars’ have taken place in Kogi, Adamawa, and Enugu states. “It is not today (bribery) that it started. It has been happening in INEC. We went to Kogi, Adamawa and Enugu; all these issues have been there,” he explained. It was gathered that the presidential panel investigating the scandal had not yet quizzed the whistleblower, Onaji, fuelling speculations that it might have concentrated on the security implications of the Ekiti rerun election debacle. In Onaji’s April 30 statement to the Police at INEC, he had claimed that presiding officers were to collect N100,000 each while collation officers were to smile home with N200,000 each. He had also explained that Yomi addressed INEC staff posted to Ido-Osi LG for elections at Federal Technical Science Secondary School on April 24, where he told them that he had made a gift available to one Mr. Okey Ndeche of the Operations Unit. Before the case was taken over by the Force headquarters, Awelewa had written to the INEC secretary, on May 4, 2009, seeking the release of 31 personnel for questioning. The list comprised 11 collation officers on salary grade levels 14 and 15, and 21 others who worked as presiding officers in Ido-Osi council. When contacted for comments on why INEC was shielding the affected staff from police investigation, Kaigama claimed ignorance of the matter. He said, “Who said that? I am not aware of the issue.” Similarly, the Acting Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Emmanuel Umengar, responded in a similar manner, saying that “How will I know that there is anything like that?” |
First of all, Nigeria is a disgrace to Africa. Where is the love of a President? Does it really make any sense that the government slammed a war on so called militants whey they know quite well they don't have a master plan of where they could be located? Where are the militants that have been killed? Where is the captured plane? Why can't they allow reporters in there to assess the situation as it is in Niger Delta? It is time we know and understand that the President is merely starting an ethnic war. We all know these people are fighting for their rights, why can't the government do something about it and afterward if they make any attempt at disrupting the peace of the region then they can be held accountable? The government have failed on this one as no responsible government will open fire from the air on innocent citizens in search of some "militants". Now, I see killing the Niger Delta helpless civilians is part of Yar'adua's 7-point agenda, puleeeeze! Let's see how Nigeria makes it to G-20 with all these atrocities. |

I was flipping through the pages of newspaper about a week ago and saw that an order had been given for a massive "all out war" on supposed "militants" in the Niger Delta region, which in my opinion I think is totally uncalled for. For the President to have declared such dues to be paid by innocent civilians for all the negative exploits of the militants on the, dare I say, politicians' economy in the guise of oil, I think it's a bit over the top. Can we debate on this? Is this action really justified or is it another act of genocide? |
