HacheNoire:You're being ludicrous! There is no correlation between the shape of a man's head and his psyche. |
LeoDeKing:You're one to call others illiterates. Smh. Just what do you know about the man's health? |
LeoDeKing:Stop being a juvenile. You're poisoning and misleading people on this forum with the garbage you put up there. Obi has been an advocate of subsidy removal for years even when Tinubu and his ignorant followers were protesting against it. Fast forward to the present, we've all agreed that it must go but the question some people aren't asking is, how does Tinubu intend to cushion the effects to follow? Is he serious in his presumed fight against corruption? Or this just to save face. He has to reassure the people and not expect us to endure and suffer with no real plans in place. |
N3TRAL:It is equally amusing that you're putting sentiments above the rule of law by discrediting those in courts. By so doing you may not want to hear but you're the kid here. Now if indeed the LP and PDP has substantial, credible evidences against the APC and INEC then by all means they should pursue their causes. |
APCNig:While I wish for the man to succeed as a human, I laugh at your comment simply because you do not know history nor do you understand the intricacies of Nigeria. The Emilokan you're sentimentally singing his praises was the one who stupidly opposed the removal of subsidy when it was the perfect time. He should reaffirm people's beliefs in him by telling us what plans he has in place to cushion the effects of subsidy removal and not leave us hoping. This was how we hoped Buhari would fight corruption and insecurity in his early reign and look where that got us |
I agree with Tinubu on the issue but what policies does he have in place to cushion the effects of its removal. Inflation is on the rise, so is the cost of transportation amongst other issues and if there are no concrete plans in place then it will only lead to more suffering. Additionally, does Tinubu have a plan to end corruption even among the structure that put him in place? Or is he just playing to the gallery to appeal to the masses. |
Mynd44:My thoughts exactly. Does Tinubu have the courage to step on peoples' toes? Including those who helped him on this journey, if it will lead to the growth of the nation. I am by no means a BAT supporter but if he can stiffen up and address the foundational issues of Nigeria then great, he'll have my support . Otherwise, I'm afraid his reign would be tantamount to building castles in sand. All it would take is for the worst amongst us to grace that seat then boom! We're back to square one. |

LeoDeKing:I quite agree with the above though there was no need to involve Obi in this. If Tinubu sincerely means well for the country then he is welcomed to try. However my biggest concerns about his government is that will he be able to address the foundational issues troubling the country since time immemorial or is he coming to just do his own 8 years and leave? If the latter is the case, then I fear his reign would be tantamount to building a castle in sand with no real progress. |
Exceed15:Kudos my chief for being ahead of us at the time but If we are being honest, Jonathan despite being miles above Buhari which is only evident now, performed poorly and deserved the criticism at the time. I feel the people who should take all the blame are those still in support of the APC despite their failings |
Lemos14:If she is guilty of then it is only right she faces the consequences. I am a promoter of unity and my job is to make her see reason where sentiment have taken over. |
I don't blame the people who participated in that exercise as they were ill informed at the time and were desperate for good governance. My only shock is that certain people have not learned from the experience. They still misconstrue propaganda as facts due to their religious affiliations and ethnocentric attachment. What qualifies you a human if you can't think for yourself? This is the reason why the government is able to scam us and get away with it because of such individuals |
AntiWailer:Oh so now you admit that there might have been a few malpractices. Anyhoo, I wasn't the one wronged, the aggrieved party is already I court. I was only pointing out that if it was God's will for Tinubu to win, there would not have been the need for such issues. |
post=123475727:It isn't wailing to demand for better governance. Even after supporting Buhari for 8 years I'm surprised that you've learned nothing. Tinubu is a sick, old man on heavy medications to appear fit. He is corruption personified and a known fraud. Yet, despite the glaring evidences like his predecessor before, he is serenaded as a saint by a slew of stodgy, ethnocentric bigots. |
MrBiGGEST:You my friend are guilty of what you accuse them off. Remember GEJ tenure? Tinubu and the APC said subsidy was a sham used to steal the nation's wealth and y'all blindly stood beside them due to hate. And now you claim to be an objective thinker. |
AntiWailer:So even with the glaring evidences you still choose to remain ignorant. Bro na wa for you o. |
AntiWailer:While I agree that no man should play God in the affairs of men, I also want to point out that Tinubu's supposed victory was not of God's doing, factoring in the violence and oppression that ensued in several parts of the nation amongst other problems. We both know this. |
LeoDeKing:I will be watching you |
yarimo:Probably as a fail-safe? 🤷♂️ One can never be too careful in critical matters such as these |
Nigerians are the most unfortunate humans in the world. We're nigh scam proof to foreigners and to ourselves to some extent but not to our government. You know why? Because we're too busy being petty to really see what's going wrong. While we squabble over tribalism and religion, the government is fleecing our future and that of our unborns' dry. |
LegendHero:Lol. That was feeble. I could lay waste to your existence but no. I will not indulge this act of cowardice only because I respect you as a human besides it is a debate not a squabble. The slaving comment was just to highlight our ignorance of the government's frailty to protect us. Instead we're to busy bullying each other. |
lhordspy:Aren't we all hypocrites, including Tinubu your Lord and personal savior? First he claimed he didn't believe in one Nigeria now he wants to serve the same Nigeria ![]() |
LegendHero:You know what's worse than a slave? A slave who doesn't realize he's in chains. You're a petty human in the grand scheme of things who doesn't realize he's been played; a tool to be used and discarded. |
LegendHero:It's funny how you're okay with being denied your fundamental human rights by the same FG as long as the Igbos are on the menu. Talk about slave mentality |
obembet:Quite the contrary. In fact I'm astonished that you would cast a stone at a man that is our much needed breath of fresh air. Judging by your comment, it is safe to summise that you're a Tinubu supporter and he is talking big at the moment but unless he can address the foundational issues troubling this country, I fear you're the one being fooled. Seeing as we're going broke as a nation, will he be able to achieve the following; 1. Cut government costs. 2. Probe past governments (including the present) to recover stolen funds 3. Tackle corruption on a massive scale. 4. Give the middle finger to whomever is deserving of it be it friends, associates or a particular region. Just to name a few of a slew of many other issues. You need to start asking questions to know the kind of leader to expect |
LeoDeKing:A wise man once said "Learn to use your brain or someone else will use it for you." That would seem to be the case here. Otherwise, you'd have thought to ask on what basis is he right. Don not let bitterness destroy you |
yarimo:Is the APC any better? Are they a political party set up in honesty and integrity? Not that I'm taking sides but when I see comments like these I shake my head in disgust at how individuals like yourself self who claim to be liberal can do away with critical, objective thinking when it matters most. How does trash talking a supposedly larcenist and fabulist while deifying a bigger larcenist and fabulist help in the growth of our beloved country? |
LeoDeKing:I'll do you one better. Why do you insist on being a nuisance, don't you have something productive to do with your life? |
Okoroawusa:Your assertion is debatable considering the ongoing court case of rigging and manipulation of results. |
yarimo:Good joke . However, it is really of no consequence how I will to string together my thoughts. As such, I will not indulge in this frivolity because there are more important matters at hand like; why is one so articulate as yourself at the reins of the toxicity in this forum? Why not preach peace? |

yarimo:Unless you're a beneficiary of the corrupt system, I reckon you emancipate yourself from mental slavery lest you unknowingly avail yourself a tool to be used and discarded by the political elite. |
