Apt!

Inorder to score cheap points, you see them coming up with ridiculous lines.

I couldn’t help but laugh when he said, 2001/2002 was about Henry’s goals and dribbles and not goals and assists.
Na how you go take know Messi-Ronaldo boomers be that.

Henry that year till 2004 was the hottest striker in the world, both for his scoring and creative capabilities.

Na that Henry comment expose him yansh.
Sports › Re: Cristiano Ronaldo Picks The Best XI Players He Has Played With. by ThierryJay: 6:47am On Apr 24, 2023
OJEEMAH:
still wrong💯

Assist did not become relevant cos of Messi fans. You can chose to lie or deny it but deep down, you know assist was an integral part before Messi became a regular in 2006.

Goals and dribbles? This is absolutely ridiculous!!

I wonder where you got goals and dribbles cos 9 out of every 10 articles about Henry’s spectacular season was more about his 24goals and 20assists.

Assists produced goals and match winners but dribbles didn’t.

Henry didn’t score the highest number of goals in a single league season but his 20 assists made it one of the best individual achievements in premier league history.

A record Fabregas tried and failed to break with 18 assists. Ozil did same with 19 assists while KDB equaled with 20 assists but couldn’t break it.

In my 25years of actively watching football, I have never seen where dribbles is placed ahead of assists.

Why didn’t Okocha win PFA award ahead of Henry, Terry and Gerrard with all his dribbles?
Nice comeback. Imagine someone who claims to know football well saying assists were not considered important before Messi. Hian!

I still remember AC Milan vs Real Madrid UCL match 2002/2003. Shevchenko scored the winning goal but all the media talk was about Rui Costa's sensational assist to Shevy that split the Madrid defence and decided a tight game.

Maradona's assist in WC final 86 vs W.Germany was more acclaimed than the goal itself scored by Burruchaga.

Ronaldinho's assist vs Milan UCL 05/06 SF twisting Gattuso in and out was more celebrated than Guily that scored the goal.

Zidane's assist to Henry vs Brazil in WC 2006 QF outshined Henry's goal in the media.

Dem plenty, Kaka's assist to Inzaghi UCL final 07 vs Liverpool, Kanu's assist to John Utaka vs Cameroon Nations cup 04, Maradona's assist to Canniggia vs Brazil in Italia 90, were all more popular than the goals themselves.

It's then ridiculous to say assists were not rated prior to Messi. Such ignorance.

A world class left back didn’t make the list yet we were made to believe those he played with were average.

The way Pendu fans can agend agenda ehn. Most of those things they say were cooked up during their coven meetings to spite the GOAT and they all just come out and start to recite them like zombies.

They came up with the Ronaldo and 10 deadwoods theory when in reality na deadwood dey carry Baba go where he wan go.

Corridon:
You don't get it. How many people watches EPL before Mourinho came on board? Talking about Wenger winning the title in Fergie's era, Didn't Mourinho win the EPL back to back when both Wenger and Fergie were still around? Even winning the title with many records broken on the way. Who was the boss of London football between Wenger and Jose? And lastly, did I argue in my first post that Wenger didn't deserve the Hall of Fame? I said that Mourinho should be the next or do you want both Fergie and Wenger to be the only manager inductees?
Ojeemah has responded well to this your claim.

Before Mourinho came, the fact is that the EPL was already the most watched league in the World as at 2002/2003.

I remember that in the top 20 richest clubs as at that time published on Complete Sports, about 12 English clubs were in there.

The catalysts for EPL global popularity in the late 90s early 2000s were:

David Beckham
Arsene Wenger
Dennis Berkgamp
Man utd's 99 treble win
Thierry Henry

Like OJ mentioned, Mourinho came and benefited from the EPL's existing popularity and also contributed to it with his eccentric character and Chelsea's rise under Abrahamovic.

Sports › Re: Lionel Messi Makes History With 100th Goal For Argentina by ThierryJay:
Some buffoons are saying only 20 goals out of Pendu's total are from friendlies that the rest are competitive. I laugh in Spanish.

Excuse me, who needs friendlies when over half of your 'competitive' games are played annually against the likes of Thessalonia and Galatia? An average Iceland team wiped the same Lickystain team 7-0 even more than Portugal.

Is it Messi's fault that he comes from a continent that only has a mere 13 countries, compared to Europe that has almost 60. Of course Argentina have to organize friendlies to make up as they cant be waiting until World cup every 4 years to play more teams.

It's a no-brainer. Messi's 'friendly' against Panama has more worth than Wasiu's 'kwalifiers' vs Luxembourg and Lickystain combined.
Sports › Re: Lionel Messi Makes History With 100th Goal For Argentina by ThierryJay:
Another milestone for the GOAT.

By the way, Curacao is ranked 86th globally while Luxembourg and Lickystain are ranked 98th and 198th respectively. So we all know who the King of statpadding is.

Imagine if Messi was playing the likes of Curacao every year in his career like Pendu does regularly, he'd have scored over 200 international goals by now.

Messi has only played teams ranked below 70th less than 15 times in his career.

Pendu has played Luxembourg alone a whopping 11 times. Then add other unfortunate dishes like Estonia, Faroe, Andorra, Georgia, Lithuania, Liechestein, Cyprus, Malta, Latvia, Gibraltar, Moldova, San Marino, Thessalonia, Galatia etc, you would now understand the huge scale of Pendu's luck.

Bring on more of the Lickystains please, the GOAT too needs to enjoy some luxurious grasses before he retires to pepper some eternal losers grin
