This is a good time for Nigeria globally. The most popular Nigerians bringing global acclaim and honor to Nigeria at the moment (in no particular order) are:

Your comment is appreciated but you see, it wasnt the same scenario. SO had served as a Commissioner before as well as in corporate management capacity in a position accountable to stakeholders and investors. There was some level of public sector and management experience before he was selected for Governorship. GRV has nada.

There is no evidence that GRV is not corrupt because he has not handled that position before. So the only requirement as you say is not even a certain one.

And in other performance parameters, SO beats GRV handsdown. GRV is an accidental candidate that's only riding on Obi's Charisma. A billy goat can also do that if in Labour Party.

Everything everywhere all at once everytime every-every is one damn complex movie. I've watched it twice and I've just understood about 60% of the movie. Maybe the 3rd time I'll finally grasp the hype about it. But mehn the movie swept a whole 7 Oscars.

Happy for Michelle Yeoh though, she's come a long way since the days of IN THE LINE OF DUTY, or TIGER CAGE (with Donnie Yen) to finally get her hands on the prestigious Oscar.

Imagine Messi putting in a better performance against Bayern, a top 3 world best club, than Pendu did against a club ranked below number 500 globally.

If Zlatan was in that same dusty league, he'd be bored of scoring multiple scorpion kicks every match. A league where 40 years old forgotten Ighalo is still scoring 4 goals in a single game.

It's funny Pendu is struggling in a grossly amateur league when he should have hatricks every game as a minimum.

Person wey pass you don pass you. Messi na GOAT.

You mean Rothen the Messi serial hater.

Na PSG's problem be that. In the biggest game of all, which is the World cup final vs France, Messi scored twice and won the WC for Argentina.

And excuse me, where was Mbappe who Pendulums are calling the new World best player yesterday, no news on his floppy performance. But its Messi who is already accomplished that this French failure and Obembet are hating on.

The GOAT has nothing left to prove. He still even played better than Bumbappe yesterday at 36 years old.

OJEEMAH:
Ronaldo fanboys are overflogging this working hard thing.

Does Evra think Messi will be as successful as he is if he doesn’t work harder than 90-95% of modern day footballers?

Messi is gifted so is Ronaldo and there’s no doubt Messi is more talented but saying Ronaldo works harder is the most ridiculous thing on planet earth.

Evra played with Ronaldo not Messi. It’s hard to deduce facts from one sided opinion.

I would like to hear from those that have the opportunity to play with both players.

There may even be players that work harder than both but nobody cares cos they are not successful.
Dont mind Evra. I'm sure he's still having nightmares over how Messi destroyed him to set up Villa's goal in the 2011 UCL final.

Most players that played with both players chose Messi. Even Evra by virtue of his current statement has somewhat acknowledged that Messi is greater than Pendu.

I dont see where Zain Asher was unprofessional here. I think she held her side well with the right balance of passion and objectivity.

That said, I must admit that the APC spokesman's performance was brilliant from an APC perspective. To a large extent, he did a good job of tackling each of the points Zain raised with salient examples. At the end of it all, international observers might be seeing this election in a different light based on the guy's submissions.

Broveens42:
Your last two paragraphs gave you away. The Constitution committee should have thought about that when they used the word 'and' for whatever reason.
Why would you mention a name and suggest that the conjunctive word ' and' to a name 'fct' doesn't mean compulsory 25% in fct ? Lol

You need 50% in 7 science subjects and maths to gain admission ...
Maths is a compulsory requirement even when you can't categorically say it's a science subject, because it is also required by arts students... You see all these blabla I said doesn't matter... The conjunctive word, made the name compulsory
The example you gave in bold is not a like for like comparison with the issue.

The correct analogy would be "You need to score 50% in at least half of 7 Science subjects and Maths".

This would mean you need to score 50% in any 4 subjects and Maths is not compulsory.

Maths was only separated because it is not considered as an exclusive science subject.

Capische?
Politics › Re: Without Winning FCT, A President Cannot Be Legally Declared — Ozoani by ThierryJay: 2:24pm On Mar 02, 2023
This issue is not this complex. The problem is because FCT has always been regarded as a different territory from the states technically.

First, common sense should dictate that the law cannot consider FCT people as more important than other states. If it does, there would have been more focus on lobbying votes within the FCT.

Second and most importantly, if you expand or paraphrase the provision such that instead of saying 36 states, you name them one by one, that is: " at least one quarter of the votes in two-thirds of Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Borno .........Zamfara and the FCT". Would this mean if you dont get 25% in Bauchi, or Anambra you cannot win the election? It becomes obvious that the FCT is part of the list and is only differentiated due to its separate categorization.

Some people just carry law degree for head without substance.

His fellow players and coaches voted not FIFA. And doesnt he know that in a world cup year, a stellar winning performance always wins the award or did he cry like this when Modric won it in 2018?

Wont be surprised if mods bring this Messi shading thread to FP instead.

Bro, try and create anti Ronaldo thread and observe. Those bias MODs will deliberately bury the thread and ensure it doesn’t see the light of day.

We’ve been trying to draw Seun’s attention to this glaring injustice but he’s been silent and not making any effort to end this anti Messi agenda by Obembet and his MODs.

If a thread that glorifies Ronaldo is created, na speed of light e dey take enter front page.

In one day, 3 Ronaldo related threads with same contents can grace front page.

The truth is, most Messi fans on this forum are tired of flogging this issue with no solution in sight.

Thierryjay, Numerouno94, Kilishihunter, Paulolee, & Mangekyoalt. If these guys are online, I am sure they will attest to this.
Sapeleboy911 this is a perfect example of what Ojeemah is saying. Messi won the Fifa World best player award yesterday but it wasnt brought to Frontpage despite several threads created about it.

If it was Ronaldo or any player apart from Messi, you'd have seen multiple frontpage threads by now, including those that would be shading Messi for not winning.

Pessi is fifa child.

Fifa is obsessed with Ronaldo. Why them they show Ronaldo, wey no even dey award list?
Haha Joker, they needed to do that to put Messi's win in proper context. For you naysayers to appreciate the magnitude of Messi's win better:

- that what Ronaldo struggled to do but couldnt do against Morocco and other minions, is what Messi achieved against all odds vs stronger opponents in Qatar.

And have you forgotten that it was fellow players and coaches that voted this time around and not "biased" journalists as you guys claim for the Ballon dor?

4 out of the last 6 World cups have produced the best player award winner. Messi's 2022 individual performance would have been second only to De Lima's 2002 exploits or even first if we take the surrounding team quality into account. So why shouldn't he have won?

Seems we've reached the point in the season where it's time to shit the bed spectacularly. Everything's been going wrong for the past week.

At least Pedri, Dembele and Lewy would be back in another two to three weeks. Question is if we can survive till then.
Whatever happens, the most important thing is that Barca MUST NOT LOSE the second leg Liga classico next week. The psychological impact if that happens will likely derail us irrecoverably.

We must not give Madrid an opening to come back as we all know that's their area of specialty.

Injuries aside, the team is in a mental lull (I think this is mostly due to the impression of the decent gap from RM) and Xavi needs to rally them out of that slumber fast. They need to demonstrate attitude and desire to scale through the next couple of weeks.
